Gorgeous place, great service at reception, bar and restaurant, beautiful food. We had a wonderful stay. Also had a really interesting and informative tour of the castle, and loved the beautiful frescoes dating back to the 11th century.
A delightful stay with friends for Christmas Eve in this delightful hotel. It was our home base for sightseeing and our venue for good times with friends. The food was superb, especially for the Noche Buena dinner. And the staff was most courteous.
This is in a great location and is a great old building in the true spirit of the Paradors of Spain. The bar in particular is set in a stone vaulted room and well worth the visit. The village nearby, though small, is also nice to walk around. Staff was nice enough though…
Despite it being an apparently solid-built building the bedroom dividing walls are paper-thin. I could hear our neighbor snoring gently and their use of the bathroom made more noise than my partners from my position in bed.I could also hear every movement of furniture next door.
Peace and tranquility in a magnificent building with a commanding setting. Allows one to slow down and contemplate. My first glass of red wine, on the house, sets the scene for a very relaxed stay in one of my favourite places.
"The rooms in the front are located in the original building; those in the left hand wing are in a more contemporary building."
"The Duplex room was top class"
"Get the tower room!"
"Upgrade to the superior room €20 a night; not sure the tower room (€40) would be worth it though."
"It is worth payed g the upgrade for a lovely view"
