Excellent overnight stay to celebrate a birthday. Room very comfortable, well appointed. Staff very friendly and helpful. Dinner was excellent, wine selection very good. Would definitely recommend a stay.

As usual with Paradors this an old building that has been lovingly restored and made into a first class hotel. The town of Alcaniz is beautiful and the surrounding area is picturesque. The rooms are excellent and the restaurant, bar, lounges, breakfast room and reception are all excellent. The food is of a high quality and the staff are very...

A great half way stop driving from Barcelona to Madrid. Sadly we only spent 1 night here but that was a lovely experience. Situated high above the local medieval village was very impressive. Great friendly greeting by male receptionist (didnt get his name) who explained the local area and hotel facilities. Room (102) was a delight. Id imagined there is...

We felt that this parador was resting on its laurels of having a really magnificent building. The staff is efficient and pleasant, but you get the feeling they are just doing another job rather than passionate about the service they offer. Our room was comfortable, albeit with two single beds tightly jammed together rather than the double we had booked,...

We stayed one night in December on our way between the coast and Zaragoza. Stunning site and you really feel that you are staying in an ancient castle, but with all modern facilities. Would definitely stay again if in the area

Excellent, but you've got to improve your breakfasts, especially with those prices. A 15 - 18 euros breakfast should offer more variety and quality, and fresh espresso coffee. Everything else was fabulous and having the town walking distance from the Parador was a plus.

A really lovely hotel, in a picturesque setting with comfortable, clean rooms, good food and profesional friendly staff. Would definitely recommend . Within easy reach of other small villages so good for exploring the area. The tours booked with the Alcañiz tourist information centre very interesting and well worth booking.

This was our first experience of a Parador & it didn't disappoint. The building is pretty spectacular. Our room was very comfortable with a fantastic view. The bathroom suite was modern while keeping some of the original features of the room. The staff in reception were friendly, welcoming & helpful. We had our evening meal in the restaurant - a...
