We absolutely loved our time at this wonderful pension in the Logar valley. Upon arrival my husband and I just gasped at the beautiful surroundings, really we were rendered speechless. Our room was lovely and included a gorgeous view, a kitchenette and a washing machine. We did all kinds of hikes all around the Logar and surrounding valleys with many many more that we did not have time for. We were always happy to come back to the pension. Each morning I had coffee outside on the patio, enjoying the beautiful valley and especially the view of the Alps. We ate at the restaurant one night and it was a good meal, both our favorite being the mushroom soup. I could have eaten five bowls of that! Barbara, the owner, was quite lovely and helpful, someone commented separately that she didn't say much, to me she said the perfect amount! I would go back tomorrow if I could and hope I can return some day.

We stayed for only two nights at the comfortable and cozy Hista Ojstrica. I wish we could have stayed longer. The owners were the nicest people who made us feel like part of their family. Room #12 had the most amazing view of the mountains and valley. The beds were so comfortable we slept well in the mountain air.
The restaurant served delicious Slovenian fare as well as local specialities.
I highly recommend this mountain getaway for its beautiful location and warm atmosphere.

Our family of 4 had dinner with stunning views. The food was great and reasonably priced. Service was friendly and swift. They kept the kitchen open although it was past their closing time. We really enjoyed our dinner there and recommend this place

Logarska Dolina is a beautiful Valley and we had a great 2 night stay at Ojstrica.

We arrived on a Sunday having had a 6 hour walk down from Tourist Farm Rogar (including a very steep and slippery descent through the pine forest from Klemensev). We were extremely pleased to arrive on this extremely hot day and our apartment on the lower ground floor was welcomingly cool and comfortable.

The one bedroom apartment suited us fine with one double bed in a reasonably large room and a sofa bed for our two teenage sons. Comfortable beds and a smart bathroom. We made little use of the kitchen facilities because we had trekked in and brought none of our own provisions, although the fridge was v welcome and the ability to make my own cuppa was excellent: this is not a facility provided in any of the rooms we stayed in in Slovenia.

The breakfast was excellent. A buffet with all the normal ham and cheese, along with plenty of cereals, fruit and yogurt, breads, etc. The coffee was good, and served hot to the table.

We sat outside for breakfast as well as the evening meals and the view up the Logarska Dolina Valley was excellent from the hotel terrace. The evening meals were delicious: at the weekend Ojstrica run a grill / barbq which was lovely and very popular. Be warned though, it can get v busy here at weekends. On the Sunday night we were very lucky to have some impromptu music when some local youngsters played the accordian, tuba and guitar and sang along. It was really great and the fact that there were lots of locals using the restaurant speaks very well of the food and the family running Ojstrica.

Monday was our "rest" day (we were doing a 5 day trek around this part of the Kamnik Alps) so we walked up to the waterfall - "Slap Rinka" - and back, which was a nice trip. The Eagles Nest Cafe at the waterfall was impressive perched on the side of the mountain.

The lady running Penzion Kmecka Hisa Ojstrica was very kind and speaks fluent English. It was useful to be able to pay using a credit card.

I really recommend staying at Penzion Kmecka Hisa Ojstrica (although would suggest avoiding the weekends if possible).

We walked from Ojstrica over via Strelovec back to Robanov Kot.

We didn't actually stay here. We were staying on another tourist farm 50 yards away. We ate here on the two nights we were there and the food and drink was very good and excellent value. We met some people who did stay here and they said it was very nice. The location is excellent.
My rating is based on the food.

Logarska Dolina is one of the most beautiful valleys in Europe and I returned here after 18 years. It's a great place to hike and climb and ice climbing in the winters. The trails are beautiful and the entire valley is like living in a fairy tale and in this valley Ojstrica is the finest place to be. This family run guesthouse is so nice that you don't feel like leaving. We stayed here for two nights in March so there was no one else other than us. The lady Barbara speaks good German and halting English but her husband is very good in English and knows everything about the area, he is very helpful and always smiling. There's a house dog that I think is one of the cutest features of this place. The dog would constantly delight you and come walking with you. I must warn that the food is absolutely delicious and the dinner portions are way too much. After the first night I had to ask her to give me half the food. The fresh bread and fruits are too good. Had the most amazing experience here. The rooms are so clean and big and the bathrooms are very beautiful. We even got a massive discount and ended up paying only 35 Euro per day including breakfast and unlimited dinner. I will return here for sure.

The hosts were very kind and accommodating. The room was large and beautiful. The food was fantastic and typical of the region. I would stay here every time I visited the area. Unfortunately, that isn't very often.

Kmecka hisa Ojstrica is located in the heart of Logarska valley, rela pearl of pure nature that you enjoy and fall in love with from the moment he valley opens up in front of your eyes. It is surrounded with beautifull Savinjski Alps, all green and peacefull, ideal for families. Days are sunny, warm and nice for all kind of activities: walks, bike riding, hiking, checking different sights inside the natural park (waterfalls, giant trees, birds...) while nights are cool, nice for sleeping.
Ojstrica is the best choice in my opinion for accomodation with best balance between price and comfort. We stayed in 4 bed room that had two rooms and a bathroom. Everuything was furnished with style and spoltlessly clean. Fridge and water boiler was available in the room. Bathroom had heating during the night even in August!!
Food was nice and stuff is friendly, ready to make some changes in food assortment for you specially or if your child (like mine) has some special eating habits. There is a nice terrace for sitting outside with playing area for chidren. It is also a farm, so children can enjoy learning about farm animals as well, even working around them and feeding them (with help and supervision of the owners).

All the best to family Plesnik who runs this beatufull place in a very professional way! We are looking froward to our next stay in Ojstrica!

I made the reservation over the internet for May 2023 at a rate of 130 euro for the two of us. We paid 40 euro for dinner.
We admittedly arrived in a light rain and while the valley is gorgeous, the weather took away from it. I imagine in summer it would be magnificent.
The host’s daughter speaks fluent English but the parents not so much. Unfortunately, it comes off as a bit rude or distant as they ignored us sometimes because they didn’t always know how to communicate.
Bed and room were comfortable. Breakfast buffet was simple. The highlight was some homemade jam. Night before dinner was mushroom soup, goulash and baked fish.
