The drive into the valley, by itself, is enough reason go. Narrow, winding, sometimes single lane road through Slovenian villages and countryside is fantastic. The valley is indescribably beautiful. Ursa's farmhouse and property is so unique, especially in this era of big money resorts with scripted "hospitality" employes. We felt at home immediately. Ursa is so genuine, pleasant, and accommodating (and she and her mom make great, fresh homemade strudel!). From the horses, pigs, dogs, goats, gardens and pastures to the upgraded rooms, to the easy access to world class hiking this is one of our favorite places anywhere in the world. I wish we could have stayed longer.
Stayed in this beautiful valley for a week studying biomimicry. What a joy. The soaring mountains that guard the valley shade an abundance of wildlife and flora, many hiking paths and wild waterfalls. It has a sense of peace and tranquility that belongs to a bygone era whilst it provides all the modern comforts of the 21st century (my wifi here was better than home, but it's best to switch of!!). Wonderful service and support from the whole family for whom nothing is too much trouble, and delicious food - especially the cranberry cake!
We stayed for two nights in this beautiful farm and we loved it. Gorgeous breakfast and comfortable room, with nice views. The area is simply incredible and the owner kind and helpful. We´ll come back for sure.

We stayed at the Lenar farm for 2 nights mid April. We enjoyed it so much! Arriving at the farm was amazing, the valley is beautiful, and the mountains (that still had snow in April) are so close, surrounding the valley. It’s breathtaking. We stayed in a hotel room (number 9, if I remember correctly) that had a master bedroom upstairs, and space for our 2 kids to sleep as well. It was a big space downstairs, also with a fridge, and it had a lovely terrace outside with view of the mountains. There is a huge shared garden with swings on the fruit trees. Enough space to play for the kids. Ursa and her parents are such lovely people, very kind, and very hospitable. The breakfast is very good, and fresh (loved the homemademarmelade!). Ursa gave great tips for the area! We recommend hiking to the waterfall, driving the panoramic route and going to Robanov Kot. Ursa also helped us out big time by picking up our son’s coat that we had forgotten at a restaurant in the valley and then she even sent it to us without any cost. She is an angel! Thank you, Ursa! I recommend staying here without a doubt! We will come back and next time we will stay at one of Ursa’s appartements, so we can also have a kitchen. Highly recommended!…
