The Lenar Farm Stay lies at the heart of the Logarska dolina, one of the most beautiful Alpine valleys in the world. The bed and breakfast, run by the family, has been operating since 1966. Since then many returning and new guests keep coming from all over the world. The food they offer is organic and locally produced. The location of the Lenar Tourist Farm provides an exceptional starting point for hiking and climbing in the mountains of the Kamnik-Savinja Alps, as well as cycling across the valley during the summer and cross-country skiing in the winter time. Equipment rental for an active holiday is free.
Places to stay are graded on a 0-100 scale. The higher the grade, the easier it is for travelers to find restaurants and things to do within walking distance.
we rented the biggest apartment which has a bedroom downstairs , a loft bedroom upstairs and a convertible couch in the living room. my friend had the 2 beds room next door and her kids stayed with ours. We all loved our stay at Lenar farm and would have gladly stayed longer than the 6 days we rented the apartment. There is something so relaxing and refreshing about this place, and you wake up with the most beautiful view! There are so many beautiful hiking trails. The first day Ursa's dad dropped us off at the start of the hike and she picked us up at the end as we didn't have a car. the hike was a 7h hike and just breathtaking, it was very steep for about 2-3 hours but that was our favorite part as it was with a lot of climbing. We had a guide who brought us safely back. We also did the hike to the waterfall and then up the 1,5h to a restaurant in the mountains. Such a beautiful area. We mostly ate at the restaurant next door, which was good and affordable even though we had a kitchen. They have 5 mountain bikes that you can use and the kids were roaming around freely exploring the area. They also have 2 ebikes that you can rent for a small fee.
For the hikes we ordered lunch packages which were so copious and good, yummy sandwiches, peaches, blue berries, or apples, mini croissants for a small charge.
Breakfast was also delicious and Ursa and her parents are so welcoming and friendly, it was such a pleasure to stay there. Lenar farm is a bit hard to get to, we found a taxi that picked us up in Gronje grad for 50eur, and he also drove us from lenar farm to Bled in a minivan for 150.
The farm is about 7km from the next town but Ursa offered to drive us there, at the end we took the bikes as we already had bothered them so often, and the restaurants nearby were good so we didn't bother grocery shopping.
We'd love to come back, of our party of 7, we all loved it and it was one of our favorite places on the Slovenia trip. Thank you so much Ursa!!

We had a lovely 3-night stay at Lenar Farm. The location is unbelievably beautiful – the first thing I did when I got up was to go to the window to see the mountains! Same before going to bed! The room was spacious, comfortable, and quiet. We stay in 4 places during our trip to Slovenia, and this one was by far the most comfortable (good bed and pillows!), quiet, and relaxing. There even was a huge TV with channels in various languages and Netflix too! The breakfast was tasty too, with plenty of choices (bread, gluten-free too on request, amazing yogurts, muesli, granola, ham, salami, cheese, boiled eggs, fresh fruit, homemade jams, various tea and coffee, and cake too). The hosts, Ursa and her parents were very welcoming, accommodating and friendly. There are standard bikes to be used for the guests, and also e-bikes to hire for 30 euros per day, which I highly recommend to do and cycle the Panoramic Road and into the adjacent valleys. We would not hesitate to stay at Lenar Farm again!

Logarska dolina is on one hand a great place for recharging your batteries or on the other the best location for hiking enthusiasts and adrenaline junkies. We spent three nights at Kmetija Lenar and it was absolutely the best. Family owned bed and breakfast is neatly designed and room’s interior is in a beautiful wooden aesthetics. From your bed you can observe the Alps and enjoy stunning views. If you are not sure whether to book a breakfast as well, let me help you with that, the answer is yes - take the breakfast, you won’t regret it. All the food is home produced and local. They even have waffles! I could go on on how great the stay was, but let me stop here.
When it comes to great locations in the area, I recommend you driving up to Matkov kot and Robanov kot. A short one hour walk to Rinka Waterfall is easy yet rewarding. If staying during summer, I recommend you visiting Raduha and a very special Snow Cave, which is a unique and not very touristy place to go.

This is a lovely place, in the gorgeous Lenar Valley. Not the easiest to get to without a vehicle, so we were glad we had one. Ample parking on site. The hospitable family has been running this B&B for a long time, and have been in the valley for six generations! So let’s just say they know the area! We stayed in the self catering apartment for the three nights we were there which was fine. A big storm had knocked out the wifi, so we were without it for a few days, although there was access in the main building. During our stay there was a large group that had the rest of the rooms, so we found the breakfast room to be too chaotic and loud for our taste. So we tried to be there after the group, so we could enjoy our breakfast in peace! Without the group and the wifi issues, we would definitely give the place five stars - it was just unfortunate timing. The breakfast is large and delish. Lots of choice and eggs are also offered. There is lots of great hiking to be done in the area, so it is a great place to base yourself for a few days. We liked having the kitchen for dinner some nights, although there are a few options nearby (all also owned by the same extended family, as they all live in this gorgeous valley!)

We've been twice and would go back again in a heartbeat. Run by some of the loveliest people you'll ever meet. So hospitable and such a quaint amazing feel when you're there. Great breakfast, clean & relaxing. Urška speaks great English and helped us with making dinner reservations at other local farms, as well as suggested great activities and tips for our stays. A gem. And the Logar Valley is literally one of the most beautiful places on the planet.

Every single detail was lovely and welcoming, the family was very nice , they always offer support. Other than the very good breakfast, we we were arriving from a long hike and the mom offered us free fruits from their farms. Ursa was very helpful recommending hiking trails and nearby activities

We (family of four) made short holidays there last week. This bed and breakfast lodgement fulfilled all our expectations. Even more - hosts (Urška and Mojca) were very concerned about our well being, spoiled us with huge breakfasts and gave us advice about our short trips (we have 11 and 3 years old children). Our apartment in parterre had a wooden terrace that we used for sunbathing when too tired to move around but still wanted to enjoy the mountain view.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 2-night stay at Farm Lenar. The room with balcony/view of mountains was lovely, the location was convenient to hiking and restaurants, the breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Ursa and her parents were wonderful hosts, providing answers for all our questions and stories about the area and its history. The quietness of this mountain valley and the beauty were a wonderful respite along our 10 day journey in Slovenia. Wished we had 2 or 3 more days there, to enjoy more hiking and walking the valley.

Beautiful traditional farm with the kindests hoasts out there! They were very helpful with giving advice for hikes and shared a lot of educational/fun stories from their lifes in Logarska Dolina. The rooms were spotless and had a pristine farmhouse feel and most importantly - comfy beds after long hikes!! We loved the fact that they had a lot of animals around the house too. Great breakfast... especially the freshly baked local bread... mmmmm :)
Without a doubt, heaven on earth.
We wish all the best to the Lenar family. <3

Beautiful place to stay. The scenery will take your breath away! Very warm welcome and lots of tips on what to do in the area. We stayed in a very spacious family room over two floors. Breakfast had lots of choice and there is a great restaurant over the road for dinner. There’s so much room to relax in the garden, with hammocks and reclining chairs. They also have rackets for badminton and free hire of mountain bikes. Altogether an excellent experience!

Hi
They do have air conditioner. However, I don't think you'll need one. The evenings are quite cool.
Mind you, we were there in May.
The best thing to do is send Ursa an e-mail. She is very good at responding. She speaks English.
This is a gem. If you want more space, ask to stay at the apartment.
There are more places to choose from in the Solcava area.
