Oh what a memorable vacation we had! Stay at this venue if you want to be treated like royalty! Maria offered a heartwarming greeting and offered guidance about the city’s best spots. We had an impeccably clean modern room (203) with an ultra spacious marble bathroom and a balcony. The bed was very comfortable; there were extra pillows, slippers, kettle with coffee, tea and candies… Even homemade sweets with dark chocolate and almonds. Now … about breakfast: They. Have. Their. Own. Farm! Need I say more! Everything is homemade from their farm! Fresh orange juice! The best orange marmalade ever! Greek yogurt (half cow and sheep’s milk)! Traditional Greek pastries sweet and savory! And more! Fast internet. Clientele we saw was mostly greek (which means this must be a great vacation place for repeat customers). They know what’s good :) There are so many great places to visit in Nafplio. We only stayed one night and wished we could have stayed at least two. A note that the location is about a 15-min walk from town. If needed taxis ara available for €5…
A really friendly, family run hotel. All the staff were helpful and anxious that our stay was perfect. A very quiet location which was a 10 to 15 minute walk from the sea front and restaurants. Nafplion was full of life and a 7 minute drive to a great beach which was almost deserted made it a perfect stay. The food and wine in all the restaurants was double the portions of Athens and 20% cheaper. Of course, the historic significance of the area including the Fort goes without saying.
An amazing place to stay at walking distance from the old town center. The polite Hotel crew are always ready to help and quide you with your every request. Clean and comfort Rooms and a rich breakfast buffet Will make your stay there pleasant. Thank you for everything!!! Strongly recommended... 😉
Discovered this family run modern hotel in my many trips to Napflio . It is extremely clean , good breakfast while the owners truly care about their guests . Location is good and you can park your car nearby on the street. An easy walk to new town and old town . Plenty of good local places very close by to grab a coffee, groceries or a meal - try the bakery just up And on the Main Street from the hotel.
Terrific boutique hotel, fully renovated a couple of years ago so it looks new. The room was a good size L-shaped, with a new modern bathroom, good heating, soundproof, great bed, good wi-fi. Breakfast was decent and the staff were excellent. Parking in front of the hotel. It's located 10 minutes from the center with a few good restaurants on the way.
We stayed here for 4 nights in September 2019 as part of a fly-drive tour of the Peloponnese. It is a lovely small hotel - we loved it and would certainly come back if we ever return to Nafplion (which we hope to, before too long). What we loved: The welcoming staff - the staff spoke good English and were all very friendly and welcoming (apologies we didn't get their names). The room - we were in room 305 on the 2nd floor (superior room) which was excellent, as it had a small balcony overlooking a small park with a lovely view of the Venetian Palamidi fortress. The room itself was compact but modern, with good efficient air conditioning and a good fridge. The shower room was very large and modern. Some of the other rooms may be smaller or not have such a good view, but ours was great. The room was quiet and we slept very well. Our only criticism was the lack of drawers for storing clothes. The breakfast - the room is next to reception, a bit small and without any view, but the breakfast is very good. Many of the delicacies and pastries are home-made, and the staff were rightly proud of them. The location - the hotel is in a quiet residential area of Nafplion, an easy 10-15 minutes walk downhill into the historic centre. Even the main road which it is adjacent to is relatively quiet. There is some parking immediately outside the hotel, and other parking around the local streets - we never had a problem finding a space, and all without the hassle of parking in the old town. As an added bonus there are several excellent restaurants which you pass on the way in, meaning you don't even have to go to the old town to eat. We ate at Pidalio (twice - very popular so ensure you book it) and Menta, both of which are very good and on the street a few minutes walk from the hotel. We also ate at Noulos restaurant in the old town, which is an old-fashioned traditional taverna/restaurant down a side-street, but was recommended to us and is worth seeking out. The restaurants by the sea front were predictably more expensive so we didn't bother with them. The town - Nafplion is a lovely old Venetian town, with so much to see and do within such a small area - a great base for touring - we went to the ruins at Epidaurus and to Mycenae and Nemea, went up to the fortress, and wandered round the town. We also visited the resort of Tolo (not impressed). Nafplion may be busy at weekends with visitors from Athens, but was generally quiet when we were there and lovely to wander round, much of it is traffic-free. Very highly recommended as a base to visit this part of the Peloponnese. All this, and the hotel was such amazing value for money, as good as hotels costing much more. Thoroughly recommended (even though we feel like we should keep this our own little secret!)…
This was a lovely start to our time in Greece. We arrived very late (nearly midnight) and the incredibly friendly George was there to meet us and settle us in. The next morning we got up and enjoyed a very generous and tasty breakfast. Our apartment was very comfortable and we quickly regretted that we hadn’t booked more nights there. While we had to find another hotel for our remaining nights in Nafplio, the restaurant recommendations from George proved excellent and helped us enjoy the rest of our stay. Thank you Anemos for your very warm welcome.
How to explain in simple words the experience we had at Anemos. First I Will try to resume it quickly: is the Best hotel we have been in our life, and we have lot of experience travelling through the world. The reasons: the hostess María is the most charming and professional one we ever met. She has super good energy and makes you feel like in home. She takes care of you even in the smallest details. She and people like her makes a hotel 1 or 7 stars, and ANEMOS is more than that. The breackfast is AMAZING, TASTY, HOMEMADE, ABUNDANT, ORIGINAL, and more. The cooker is a Young, charming, profesional and cheerful Woman. Among María, they took care of us in the Best way possible. The hotel itself: modern, Brand New, with excellent taste. I am an architect, and I can tell that the rooms are top cuality: the colors, materials, illumination, furnishing, accesories, etc etc and more etc. It is flawless in every aspect. The only thing we regret os not staying 10 more days in Nafplio, in Anemos. We Will back there FOR SURE and we recommend you to come there in your visit at the super beautiful and charming Nafplio. …
Nice and clean rooms. 2 min drive from the center but the best of all was the delicious and with a great range of options breakfast. The only disadvantage was that there was a lot of outside noises, especially on the first floor rooms. Overall a good choice
We had the pleasure to spend few days at Anemos. Indeed a pleasant stay in Nafplio, well located to visit the city as well as to reach Karatona beach. The overall infrastructure is brand new, well designed with beautiful furnitures. Staff is also extremely friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious, very clean and well equipped. Only remark is on bathroom, perhaps in our case a bit smaller that what we would have needed. Breakfast was great too, with a super cappuccino as well as local products, all fresh and tasty. No doubt a beautiful place to stay, where architecture and design meet warm Greek hospitality.
