We stayed two nights in Nafplio and the Amphitryon hotel was very nice place to stay. I think all the rooms have balconies overlooking the sea. Really clean and the staff was very helpful. They arranged to have someone give our required PCR test for our return trip to the US. They came to our rooms to give the test. I would have given them 5 stars but the WiFi does not work in the room. You will need to go down to the lobby to get WiFi.

We unfortunately have not been able to visit this hotel due to the Coronavirus situation. I booked with booking.com with the option to cancel free of charge. I noticed in March that a payment had been taken by the hotel even though we were booked for June! I opted to cancel the booking and expected this to be refunded. Today I received a credit note! I contacted the hotel to explain I requested a refund and the phone was put down on me. I have had to complain to booking.com who are addressing the matter. We will not book again with this hotel.

This hotel is located in front of Bourtzi little island and has a very nice sea view. However, comparing to the price asked, the rooms have poor amenities. (extremely small TV, no slippers etc) Also the room service is not professional. For example our breakfast came without seperate plates for each one of us, salt and pepper was missing So was the fresh orange juice that we ordered. The management should take care of the hotel's service. The rooms and other hotel areas were clean though.

We stayed at the hotel in December and price was not as high but it's not worth even with low price. At first we checked in a plain room and it was as small as a boat room. The bathroom wasn't more that 4 square meters. We paid more to get to a bigger room but it wasn't much better anyway. The only thing that's worth it is the amazing view and the location. The rooms are really poor. The tv was 15 inches (in 2019!!!), the beds didn't have a headboard, which I have never seen in any hotel I have stayed! The mattress was of low quality and there was a sense of stinging in everything. There wasn't even a second soap in the bath essentials. It was a very disappointing experience. I really can't understand how this is a 5-star hotel and why it's so expensive!!!

We have been trying several times to stay at the hotel, and it was always full. For once we managed to book it. The view from the rooms is indeed amazing, the breakfast is good but the good side of it stops here. While we checked when booking that all facilities were still open during the late season, When we arrived we were told that the terrace was already closed and the access to the swimming pool and their sister hotel was also closed. Moreover, the mattresses were not of good quality, the comforter was terrible and while we were assured to have a double bed king-size we had twin beds put together under a single sheet.
