Incredible hotel smack in the heart of the old city. Very clean ,exquisitely furnished and decorated, the owner and other people working there extremely polite and helpful ,great Greek breakfast and all this at very competitive prices. I've traveled throughout the world and this has to rate as one of my best experiences. Thank you to all.

The Byron is a smart economy choice. With its salmon walls and pale blue trim, it presents a cheerful front. Reception is warm and the breakfast on the terrace is fantastic. The rooms are spare but comfortable and the top floors have great sea views. However, as in most of Nafplio, parking is a different story. For the daring, there are in fact places along a narrow street and in a small square nearby. Forget your GPS, just hold your breath and remember in Greece most traffic signs are taken as suggestions. We ended up (as usual) at the harbor. The schlep up is tedious, and both the access to the hotel and the rooms are steep for the stair challenged. There is no lift or porter. Amenities include AC, free Wi-Fi, a safe, small TV and good closet space. But bring your own soap. Really. All in all, the location is in good enough proximity to shopping and restaurants. Our stay was enjoyable, and we did in fact think the price was a deal.

The room as such is ok, even though we didn'r sleep well on their matrasses. It was quite noisy in the streer as well, but that's not the hotel's fault. Nice breakfast on the terrace! The staff was very friendly. Unfortunately the bathroom was under standard, having a very small curtained shower and a very strong smell of pipes. There should definately be something done there! But all in all we had a nice stay.

We liked Nafplio a lot and would recommend it for a couple of nights. The Byron Hotel is in a good location and we had a room with a view which was nice. The bedroom is a little spartan and I found the bed very hard but there was a good breakfast and everywhere is close by although it is a 5 mins walk to the public car parking in the port . Don't try and drive to the hotel!

This is a good hotel in a good section of Nafplio. It is on a hill -- you will need to climb several stories to get to the hotel. Then, there is no elevvator, so several stories more. TIP: Ignore Google. Park in the lot near the docks and walk to the hotel. There is no parking nearby.

Hotel is lovely. But the beds - oh so very firm. If you remember the Greek beds of days past - so does Hotel Byron. Hard as stone. Like sleeping on a luggage rack. Too bad as it detracts from a lovely place.

This is a nice hotel in the center of beautiful Nafplio. The rooms are small but clean and well maintained. The view from the room is just breathtaking. The bathroom is very small, but this is an old building, so it was expected. The hotel staff is welcoming and professional. Breakfast was really good, and can be enjoyed in the terrace outside. Yogurt is especially good, and they made us cappuccinos, which was a nice touch. The location is perfect for exploring the city and there are plenty of nice restaurants and bars nearby. Overall, a very good option for staying in Nafplio.

Just had a 4 night stay and consequently asked for a balcony .. helps with drying clothes. Very good sized room and clean. Breakfast a cold buffet and an excellent owner knowledgable for the area. A good hotel to base yourself. With a short walk to the beach which has a beautiful beach bar. No worries using the tables and seating on the beach just 50 cents for a bottle of water you can walk from this beach around the Cape into Town or a longer walk - a very pictures one - to the next beach. We did visit Tyrins and Mycene on one day and then to the large theatre at Epidevaros the next on hindsight with a car fit all 3 into one day. The owner is proud of Nafpilo and the hotel is worthy of a stay. Has outside breakfast area and shade for those hot days. Plenty free parking 5 mins walk .

Situated in the centre of the old town, the hotel offers guests a clean, comfortable stay amidst the beauty of the old town. Breakfast is a simple spread of a variety of breads, Greek yogurt, hard boiled eggs, ham and cheese. Coffee and freshly squeezed orange juice are available too. The hotel is just a street away from the many souvenir shops in the old town which open from 11am to 10pm and eateries are plentiful with most offerings reasonably priced. The only drawback is there is no onsite parking as the old town is closed for pedestrians. Guests will have to be dropped off nearby and walk with luggage through the town to get to the hotel.

We had a huge family room for the four of us. The room and the hotel have a nice easy going character - it feels family run and the excellent home made breakfast is terrific. Right in the centre but not too far from parking, its a great place for an extended stay - sadly we only had two days.
