Whilst the hotel has wonderful staff and an amazing and unique presence given the decor, we did not sleep a wink as the beds were very hard. Everything else is well considered. Amazing breakfast- all home made.

Wonderful experience. This hotel has ambiance and my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Great breakfast and all staff we interacted with were friendly and helpful. We would stay there again. Parking with a bit of a walk was an issue.

Sights can be deceiving. What looked like a property in disrepair is really a hotel preserving the old - probably pre War - decor and artwork of the former owners of the mansion. The service is friendly and the food simple. Each room is different and the stairs narrow. With no parking lot, be prepared to climb steep streets and...

We we're unsure about booking this last minute hotel, but everything turned out great and we ended up having a great stay. The best part was the breakfast! Try the black cherry juice, its delicious. The negatives are the wifi (could barely load anything past google) and the noise. The noise is understandable because its an old hotel. We actually...

Had a lovely stay in a light pink suite with renessaince paintings and a steal bed! Perfect for young couples! The antique furniture and the painted walls add to its character. Renovated bathrooms, which was a must to me. Light breakfast in a beautiful inside yard! Note: no car parking, no elevators! Don't expect those in a 300-year-old manson in...

Don't be put off by the walk up the stairs to the Ilion Hotel - it's worth the effort. We had a large corner room with a balcony overlooking the city and the decor is something special. The staff were extra helpful and it was one of the few hotels we stayed in in Greece that could organise laundry for...

I have stayed in the hotel twice and I would go there again. The location is ideal, within the heart of old Nafplion. The staff are warm and accommodating and the breakfast is simple but fresh and tasty. The rooms have the opposite of minimal, modern, tinned hotel deco. Full of character and colour they are uniquely decorated. In fact...

I stayed one night at this hotel! My room was at the 1st floor. The room and the hotel are like a traditional home. They are wooden, with many old stuff like the floor, the windows, the stairs, the bed and the like. The bathroom was clean with big bathtub and unlimited hot water. But it has something which changed my...

Firstly a warning if you plan to stay at the Ilion, it is a period property in an old town and as such there is no easy access by car, and a climb of 30 steps to get to the front door and then more steps to walk up to your room. However once inside the room itself was nicely...

If you like your hotels standard and bland then don't stay here. If on the other hand you like a bit of personality, character in abundance, quirky décor, and endless 'things' to look at then this is the place for you. It's in a great central location and the people who work there are warm, friendly and helpful. The room...
