Excellent value! Better than expected at the time of booking but had to pay to book it. IT was worthwhile as it was a spacious, clean and nicely decorated room for the 3 of us (2 adults and child). View was amazing both day and night of the Palamidi castle, Nafplio Town and beach. We had a car, which helped us as it is quite a steep final road up to hotel apartment. But we would walk down in the evenings easily to the town and get a taxi back for 4 euros after a few drinks. There was a soft drinks and coffee machine in the reception foyer which was useful. Would stay again!!
Mrs Vaggelio and her son Vasilis were very kind and helpfull. Hotel is small with few rooms so was very quiet at night. It was at the ''almost'' top of the hill of Nafplio so you get very good views and sunsets. Room was extremely clean and fresh. I 'd stay again when in Greece. Important for us (3 friends with motorbikes) was the parking just outside of our room door.
We have been to Vasilis hotel for 2 nights, the room was very nice and clean with a nice view of the castle. The lady on the reception she was very friendly and charming.. I really recommend this place.. A big thank you from Zakynthos !!:)
The room was nice. We were a bit disappointed with the A/C having a limit and only blowing air. But the kitchen area was great! The price was a good value as well. We were there as the season was winding down, so it was greatly reduced from the regular season. I got a kick out of Vasilia’ Mother, who checked us in. She was full of character and charm. The next day a nice girl in the office helped us plan more of our trip. Thanks for your help! The parking area is pretty small, but as there were few people there, it was ok. The town is not to be missed. It has lots of good restaurants as well. If we go back to there, we would stay again.
We three middle-aged Brits were touring the Peloponnese for a fortnight in May. We had booked this apartment only for one night the day before. We wished we had booked it for two as it was full the next and we had to move closer to the centre. From the coach station in the afternoon we used Maps Me to navigate to the complex which was quite a way up the valley and hill. We should have bought drinks on the way as it was hot too. We met some young people making their way down the hill with beers in their hands. On enquiring they said there was a cold food and drinks machine. On arriving we were greeted cheerfully and shown in the huge, upstairs smart corner room (#5) with a lovely balcony and view of the valley and castle (pity about the ugly semi derelict building in the way!). We had paid a bit more for the room with a view but it was worth it as the ground floor rooms almost abutted the car park and there were no balconies. All was very well laid out and furnished in the long room with a simple galley kitchen half way along. Plenty of electric sockets for devices. A hair drier was in the drawer too below the big LED TV. We grabbed three beers at €1.20 each, a small price to pay (beer is expensive in Greece anyway and it worked out similar to supermarkets anyway) as we sat on the terrace enjoying the great view before heading out to eat (using the wifi I searched TA and found Pidalio was relatively near and very highly rated). We headed out eventually and returned quite late full with food and drink to sleep well after the long haul up. We decided to stay another night despite the distance from the centre. The Pidalio was worth returning to too! The showers were fine and we missed out on our own balcony breakfast as we had to checkout after finding the room was occupied that night. The owner, Vasilis himself, had the last say and apologised, letting us checkout by 12:30 as we had taken our time earlier expecting to stay. We used the wifi to find Nafplion Hotel. We left begrudgingly as the place was very comfortable and reasonably priced with friendly staff and the boss too! …
