The Perivoli Country Hotel & Retreat is often lauded for its inviting atmosphere and modern amenities set within a tastefully decorated space. Nestled in a prime location, the hotel offers guests a tranquil escape with scenic views near Nafplio and Epidaurus. While its cleanliness and amenities like the large pool and custom breakfasts receive high marks, some guests mention a need for more charging ports.
The service stands out, with many appreciating the friendly staff and personal touches. However, opinions on value and room decor vary among travelers.

Beautiful hotel in beautiful surroundings. Located a good 10 minutes drive from Nafplio. The hotel is very quietly located in the middle of an orange orchard. Well located for excursions in the region.
The rooms are spacious and beautifully maintained with every luxury. An extra bed for children is a real bed and not a sleeping sofa as in many other hotels. Wonderful mattresses! The communal area at the lobby has a cozy lounge with books and games. At the back is a beautiful terrace with swimming pool.
The swimming pool is fairly well maintained and is checked daily by means of a test. But the water still tastes sour, which makes it less pleasant to swim.
The breakfast is not very extensive but very good. The staff walks around all the time to replenish everything. When you sit down at the table you get 1 glass of fresh fruit juice. I expected a little more from a hotel in an orange orchard.
The food they offer for dinner is very tasty and well prepared, but quite expensive for the amount you get. A completely different menu is available every day. Bar prices are about the same as in Nafplio.
The only downside to the location; If you - like us - regularly go to Nafplio, the road is not for inexperienced drivers. The last part to the hotel takes you along narrow roads with sharp and steep bends. No deep abyss, but not easily illuminated at night. The last slope up is very steep, even for a good car.
The staff - especially at the counter - is very friendly and helpful. They will help you with all questions about sights in the area. Friendly, helpful and attentive.
Keep in mind that this is a hotel where people go for peace and quiet. Small children are certainly welcome, but you soon notice that everyone is very fond of themselves and their peace and quiet.
I would definitely come back here once my daughter is a little older.

Who said luxury resorts cannot be smaller, cozy, and farm to table? This is a marvelous cozy hotel that caters to those seeking a luxury experience in an intimate environment. I came with my wife and two teenage daughters. We had two rooms overlooking the pristine swimming pool. Everything is carefully manicured and geared for the traveler who wants to be pampered in luxury. They have thought everything!! My wife and daughters each had a massage, which was delightful and reasonably price! Mina was amazing! The concierge was incredibly helpful walking us to our room and highlighting all that is offered! The breakfast was farm to table and probably the best we have had in the region. Mr. Evangelos will cater to any whim you have. This is a delightful find and the best kept secret for anyone visiting Nafplio. We used it as a base to explore Epidauros, Mycenae and of course Nafplio. The rooms are created with the best lotions and amenities. Towels are plush and what you would expect at a resort of this caliber. BRAVO! And all for a fraction of what you would pay in downtown Nafpilo for anything come close to this level of luxury. Will be back! KALH ANTAMWSH!

For the second time we chose this hotel admirably located on the hill, among the orange trees. Comfortable hotel, very pleasant staff and for us who travel with our vehicles, the assurance of being able to park without problem (unlike Nafplio) is really very relaxing. All the sites are in the surrounding area and if you want to immerse yourself in the very friendly atmosphere of Nafplio, it is only 9 km away. In short, I think there will be a third time!

We had booked half board but were informed a few weeks before departure that only breakfast was served. Could cancel free of charge but didn't feel like looking for something else. Thanks to Waze, we found the hotel fairly quickly, but we soon realized that driving to the hotel in the evening was going to be tough. Friendly welcome, nice room with terrace 2 steps from the swimming pool, ideal for us. The room is missing a few sockets or USB ports to charge mobile phones, etc. Furthermore, sufficient storage space and a good bed, just a strange placement of the tap in the shower, which made showering a bit cramped. At breakfast you can now choose from 3 menus. Small buffet with basic items and eggs to order would be better, also missing some fruit and bread was not that tasty. Since the restaurant was closed, we had to go out with the car every evening, not a problem in itself, but after a hot day full of excursions this was sometimes tiring. If we had been able to eat in our hotel a few times, this would have been great. Hotel is cozy, staff is super friendly, swimming pool large and deep enough, room very comfortable but I missed my rest a bit in the evening.

The location is quiet and relaxing with a nice view, quite important especially on bank holidays when the city centre bursts of people. The reception area and the bar is very comfy and welcoming, the swimming pool looked amazing although we didnt use it due to chilly weather. The family room was large and comfy, as was the beds and pillows, I would suggest a refurbisment in order to reach 5 stars. The breakfast was small but tastefull especially because it was a farm to table policy, which is important for us who love organic food. In general I loved the stay, definetely will visit again and suggest it although the rooms could be improved.

Thank you very much for your nice review. Perivoli Country Hotel & Retreat is the perfect place for relaxing while enjoying an unpretentious luxury and while being far and at the same time very close to Nafplio old town and to all touristic attractions of the region. A very commendable choice nearby Nafplia and at the crossroads to Micenae and Epidaurus. The hotel is nice and modern with a very effiient and pleasant staff and the large swimming pool is most enjoyable. We had opted for the apartment available at the basement. While quite suitable, it is not really appropriate for short stays. I would preferably recommend rooms besides the swimming pool (which, regrettably, cannot be sued after 7 p.m.).

We stopped here en route from the south Peloponnese to Athens, and had a great (if short) stay. I would love to come back for longer. The pool terrace is a stunning spot to chill, with views over the citrus and olive groves to distant sea. It's a short (15 minute?) drive into Nafplio, and a similar distance the other way to the ancient theatre of Epidavros, which is a must see. Their new covid-safe breakfast arrangement (a choice of 3 menus - trad Greek, energy/health, and 'Perivoli') was excellent, especially the Greek yoghurt with syrupy fruits. Staff were friendly and respectful and knowledgeable, and all of them wore masks at all times. Rooms are very comfy, though a bit functional, partly (I gather) because they have temporarily removed some of the amenities like tea & coffee making. They all have a lovely balcony or terrace. Good value too. I would definitely return.

We would like to thank you very much for your nice and honest review. It feel great to know that we managed to offer your a very nice experience even if you stayed for 1 night. You are right. Some of the amenities in the rooms have been removed because of the safety protocols against covid-19, but soon things will get back to normal. We respect your vacations and we also respect your safety. We try to offer you the best possible experience with the best possible safety, but without making you stressed. We hope that next year, we will be able to offer you a much more full experience and for many more days. Until then stay safe, healthy and positive. With kind regards, Alexandros K

The hotel has a wonderful view, and is in a small village with lovely bbq tavernas at very reasonable prices. The hotel though needs a renovation. The whole mood is very hospital like and gloomy. The rooms have small single openings for light, they are very dark and the furniture and finishes are very low quality. The bathrooms are terrible with no shower doors, just a drain in the middle of rhe bathroom floor. No counterspace in the bathroom sink. The breakfast was pretty good, the dinner had an extremely limited menu, just two choices, so we didn't eat there. I think the hotel can be excellent, just needs some investment.

Thank you very much for your honest review. We are happy that you enjoyed the magnificent view and our certified Greek breakfast. During dinner there is a special concept based in seasonality, sustainability and locality of products and so we offer 2 different 3 dishes set menus that change every night. We will consider your comment when we will redesign our menus. We will also consider your comment about renovation of rooms. However, we don't agree with your comment furniture is very low quality. To be honest with you we are already thinking about renovating the rooms and changing some elements because we like to listen to our guests' comment and propositions. You have booked the triple / disabled adapted room where the bathroom is 100% accessible by persons with mobility problems or on a wheelchair. The bathrooms in the other rooms are not adapted for persons with mobility problems. We consider fair to have at least one room with facilities for persons on a wheelchair or with other mobility problems. Your comments are very valuable for us and we hope to be able to see you again in the future and prove you we can win a better score. With kind regards, The Perivoli Team - Alexandros K

We stayed here for one night whilst driving around the Peloponnese. It is a lovely quiet resort set amongst orange trees with large rooms and a great view. Not far from Nafplio or Epidavros.
The restaurant is not open but they will prepare snacks for you. The snacks turned out to be the best meal we had in 10 days in Greece! Breakfast is also exceptional, you choose from a few set menus and they bring it to your table. So much better than the usual hotel buffets including the supposedly 5 star hotel we stayed in afterwards.
We wish we had stayed an extra night. 10/10. Can’t recommend highly enough.

This hotel was my favorite out of the six hotels we experienced during our 2 week vacation into Greece. The grounds, views and landscape are amazingly tranquil and stunning. It was fun driving up the hill to this oasis. I loved interacting with Nikoleta. She's is so friendly, knowledgable and dedicated to making her guests feel welcome. We were hungry upon our after dinner arrival. Nikoleta mentioned we could have snacks and cocktails, which she prepared. To our amazement the 'snacks' were like full on meals; turkey quesadilla, stuffed grape leaves and fresh fruit and yogurt. The rooms are plenty roomy with nice amenities. The architectural design and construction of the hotel was well done. I love the sustainable approach that is taken to all operations. In addition, the morning breakfast was made to order which cuts back on food waste. It was ample with the best fresh orange nectar juice I've ever had. Upon check out we were gifted a jar of their homemade orange marmalade; which was the best!!! My only regret is that we didn't stay there a few more nights. I'd stay there again; heck, I'd work there if I could!!! Thank you Nikoleta and best wishes. You friends: Rosanna and Geoffrey

Good morning,
Unfortunately there is no public transport to get you from the hotel. You can get public transportation only from Nafplio down town. From the hotel you can have taxi service.
Thank you very much.
