We stayed one night at Liakoto. We had a lovely room right on the front overlooking the sea. We were given a bottle of wine on arrival which we had just as the sun set over the water. It was a lovely start to our brief stay. The room had everything we needed and it was a shame we only had 1 night. The pool area is lovely. I went for a swim in the sea off the nearby pier. The water in this part of the world is so warm. Staff were lovely and helpful. Kardamyli is a lovely little town.
My husband and I stayed at Liakoto in September for 4 days on our way to Stoupa. We had a sea facing studio with a fantastic view and had breakfast delivered to us each morning which we eat on the balcony. The breakfast was excellent value and was also enough for lunch. The studio was well equipped and very clean. The swimming pool was fabulous and a lovely touch was the staff bringing complimentry fresh fruit and water to us by the poolside. It was an excellent base to explore the village and visit the many excellent shops. We felt it was very COVID safe.
We had the most wonderful ten-day holiday here this summer. The hotel staff and its owners went to great lengths to make sure we had everything we needed for our stay. From a bottle of wine and homemade cookies awaiting us in our apartment when we arrived, to fresh fruit and regular top-ups of cold water as we lay by the pool, they couldn't have done more to make us feel at home. We were a group of 5 (3 adults, 2 children) and the two-bed apartment was very spacious - with 3 different balconies giving us beautiful views of mountains, sea and pool. The pool itself was gorgeous – a clean and cool escape from the hot Greek sun! We loved everything about the place and will definitely be back.
We visited Yiakoto for our late summer break last year (in October) - and yes it was another return trip - and our second visit in 2019. As always it was lovely. The location is superb, the village welcoming with lots of great places to eat and superb walks. But most important the welcome, the staff, the apartments - all wonderful. We hope to be back in October 2020. Stay safe
It has taken me over a year to leave this review, but better late than never! I work in the 5star hotel industry so I am very spoilt in terms of where I have stayed. One of my best friends grew up coming here on holidays and suggested we go for our summer holiday. I fell in love as soon as we arrived. This is a hotel that you can’t label as any star. No it doesn’t have a crystal chandelier or white marble from Italy however, rooms were beautifully boutique, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. A family summer chalet feel on the ocean. This is what you can call a really extraordinary experience.... which I believe is what makes the best in the industry. Relatable, warming, genuinely caring and happy people. Ask them a question...they will tell you the story that goes with it. Our room practically walked into the ocean and the sunsets were extraordinary. A real peace haven for clear blue waters, long walks around the coast, half an hour swims to what I ended up calling “Gem’s island” in the middle of the sea, local cuisine where you can eat freshly caught fish, secret beach coves and adventure rock jumping. Get your breakfast outfits ready because we could sit for hours watching the sea and talking with the owners, eating local honey on top of Greek yoghurt. On top of this, if you don’t feel like swimming or sunbathing, there are some beautiful local ruins to visit and little shops to potter around all within walking distance. All in all a beautiful destination unknown and I will definitely be back, having learnt a little more Greek although everyone can speak English. Thank you for a heartwarming stay.
