We had three rooms at the hotel. Upon going to bed, we found out that one room had feces on the sheets and the other room had human hair on the sheets. At 10:00 pm, there was no one to contact to get clean sheets so we had to sleep on the bare mattress. The next day when we told the owner, she never apologized, just changed the sheets. In addition, the smoke alarms do not work. All three rooms had smoke alarms mounted on the ceilings but did not have any batteries in them. It was very concerning since we were on the third floor of a very old building with no fire escape. I have no idea how it would pass a fire inspection!

Affordable. Spacious room. We stayed on top floor with angled roof line in bathroom. My spouse could stand at sink only. Tub with sprayer again angled ceiling. (See pic) Free parking. Free WiFi. European breakfast included. We had 4 people and room had a step up to another bedroom. No a/c. No window screens. Great for our one night. (July). We did Triberg right before this motel. Close drive to restaurants in this town. Be warned stairs outside- building on a slope. Stairs inside.

i was in a family room. the beds for the parents were fine but the kids bed was a sofa which could become a bed. so it was a bit hard to sleep on. in general I enjoyed the stay. the hotel is clean, the service is good. and the price is also very fine.

We stayed for a night as we wanted to visit the waterfall. Very strange place for a hotel located at the end of a quiet residential street, however the staff were extremely friendly and our room was fine for the night. The bathroom had a sloping ceiling so you couldn’t stand at full height and there wasn’t a shower only a bath with attachment. We were on the top floor so I assume the other floors would be fine. No English tv channels so we couldn’t watch anything in the evening when we got back to the room. Overall very fair for the price we paid.

Enjoyed five night stay in good comfortable room with balcony and sitting room .Toilet/ shower room was maybe a little small but this is probably acceptable for what was a very reasonable room rate with excellent breakfast included . Owner was very welcoming and helpful and waiting staff in restaurant both in evenings and at breakfast went out of their way to provide good service . Guess the fact that hotel and restaurant was very busy in mid September speaks for itself and it is in good location for walkers and motorists alike although I wouldn't fancy cycling up the hill from Triberg ! There are few shops in the village which is a stroll away and the wood carving clock / shop was best value of any we found amongst the many similar shops in the Forest .The restaurant in the hotel serves excellent food nicely prepared and the small bar serves good local beer and wine .

Called on the offchance and was given a very nice room with balcony. and lovely views over towards the slopes. we spent quite a while resting there.and enjoying the ambiance The room is very nicely furnished with 2 nice comfy armchairs which is great(so often there is only one) Slept like a log...very well... very quiet area ..residential mainly...but not far from village Excellent situation for reaching the top of the waterfall at Triberg. What a walk down to the village and round by the church town and back up Delicious breakfast - although only 5 of us residing there - the breakfast was ample plenty of choice including the best rolls we have had in Germany and the host cooks the best boiled egg ever. We were a little off season but although most of the village closed - plenty of shops restaurants open in Triberg and of course if you check in first you get a complimentary entrance ticket for viewing the most amazing waterfall. Perhaps the only downside is the rather dated and 60/70 style original bathroom although doesnt really matter as there is plenty of hot water There are quite steep steps up to the entrance altho no problem for us and raises the hotel above the other houses in front, The host speaks good English too. and was friendly enough.

What a great place, simple, quiet, very clean. The attention provided to us by the staff was excellent. His desire to help us with every question and his attention to every of ours needs was exceptional. For breakfast, we enjoyed a great variety of fresh bread, great selection of jams, cheese, hams and juices. PS: For the Americans, no A/C, but you are high in the mountains and the room cools quick after sun down.

This hotel is located 5 KM after Triberg; however, the north entrance of the water falls is just 3 KM from the hotel. Ensure to check in first, so you can receive your free entry ticket (3.50 euro)! The owner of the hotel speaks good English and he is very friendly. He can provide you some recommendations if you want. The hotel is charming, clean, well kept, and the price is Great (single person with balcony = 39 euro!!!!). The hotel has a restaurant and coffee shop! the food is super! the price is just right! Overall, I felt welcome and it was great for my budget!
