The atmosphere was very warm and friendly as soon as we entered. The elderly owner greeted us with a hand shake before each meal. The food in the restaurant was variable; superb for one meal but (fresh trout) slightly over cooked and swimming in butter for another. The service was great, though.
The room was clean and cheap but a bit dark and the ventilation system for the kitchen passed by the bathroom window, making a steady hum.
If I were staying in the vicinity again, I would probably look for somewhere else but the place had character and its strength was the people who worked there. More
