Stayed at Moulin de Connelles a few weeks ago and was captivated by the beauty of the surrounding area and warmth of every person we encountered inside. The room, meal and service were spectacular. If you're looking for a perfect romantic evening, I can't imagine a better locale.

Take your wife here for a night away from it all. Stay in one of the lovely rooms with beautiful views overlooking the gardens and the river. Take her out in one of the rowing boats provided or lounge around the outdoor swimming pool during the day. Book a table on the veranda for an evening meal, excellent food and... More

To avoid disappointment book in advance as the experience here is not to be missed. Pre prandials on the terrace overlooking the Seine with the swans patrolling is a lovely lead into an excellent meal. Speak in advance if any dietary concerns as we found they are only too pleased to accommodate and the chef is good. Brilliant meal in... More

Our first visit to this town, and hotel. Connelles is a charming village, straddling the banks of the Seine, and handy for both Richard the Lionheart's castle (Chateau Guillard) and Monet's exquisite gardens at Giverny nearby. The hotel is a converted water mill, old-fashioned and interesting, tastefully decorated, quiet and charming in the classic sense, the rooms spacious and comfortable,... More

Yes, after reading about this place you wonder if it can be the fairytale location that it appears to be. It is! Beautifully situated over the Seine, it is a very peaceful and tranquil spot. Madame is very helpful and we were delighted to be given a room upgrade on arrival to a suite. We ate one night in the... More

We stayed here twice in Summer 2016, en route from the UK to Bordeaux as a stop-off for our family holiday, and again on the way back. I can only say the fairytale building was everything it seemed in the photos: picture-postcard perfect, with big airy terraces overlooking the Seine, and individual, characterful ancient rooms with views and features aplenty.... On our road trip to Southern Spain we decided to take a slight detour to experience this sublime hotel. There are so many things to explore outside the hotel, from the hidden away swimming pool to the rowing boats that you can use to go on the river. Our bedroom was on the second floor,we had requested a ground floor room... More

Checked into this facility with jet lag. Took a walk around the beautiful grounds and enjoyed a superb dinner. Followed that with a wonderful, quiet night's sleep and awoke refreshed and renewed. Restaurant is excellent. Rooms are comfortable and well maintained. We highly recommend this place for a refreshing stop within easy driving distance from CDG and Giverny.

An unusual and charming building built out over the Seine; slightly shabby chic, but with real charm. Our dinner was fine, the wine not too expensive, and bed more comfortable than many similar hotels. A kind and friendly reception when we arrived, and throughout our short stay. Not cheap, of course, but then its an unusual place to stay. If... More

I rediscovered this enchanting place. Ideal to make a stop over or to visit this part of Normandy. You arrive and feel like you've been invited to a weekend at a country house. Wonderful experience, excellent food. And above all the location a long and "above" the Seine river. We'll be back!
