Hotel Everest is run by caring family and staff who treat guests as God - atithi devata hain. The hotel is adorned with traditional Rajasthani artwork, beautiful marble floors and a tranquil rooftop to catch the amazing views over Pushkar. It is in a great location just a two minute walk from the main bazaar, but tucked away enough that is very peaceful for shanti rest and relaxation. As a solo female traveller I felt very well looked after and taken care of by the family and staff. I recommend Everest to both foreign and Indian tourists alike.
We have been to the Puskar Fair 3 times, the first in 1980 when I was stationed at the American Embassy in New Delhi. Our most recent visits have been in 2012 and 2019. Those last two times we stayed at Hotel Everest run by Bunty and his father, Danesh. The first time we stayed there in 2012, we wanted to be in the bowls of Pushkar, and the Hotel Everest seemed ideal. It was. You cannot drive a car up to the Hotel, but Bunty et. al. brought everything up from the main road. Our favorite room is the room on the top floor along with the restaurant. Other rooms are super as well based on our taking our two adult sons in 2019. The restaurant is incredible if you like Indian food. Having lived in India and visited many times, the food is overall probably the best I have ever experienced. None of the four of us had any sickness, which is unique in India. Now the logistics. We had to send money in advance but no worries, everything was smooth. Reserve early, however, if you are going to the Fair. People are discovering this place. Security could not be better. There is always someone by the only entrance. Moreover, in India it is important for the Hotel to know what you are doing, so do not worry about privacy. Small hotels protect their patrons, and in my opinion, the smaller the better. I must give the Hotel Everest my highest recommendation. If you are a Hilton or Marriott person, this might not be your place. If you want some fun and adventure in the real India, you cannot beat the Hotel Everest, especially for food and safety. We would never stay anywhere else in Pushkar!…
I stayed for around a week and received a very warm welcome all the staff are extremely happy and helpful. the rooftop is the perfect place to relax with nice views of the local temple on the mountain and the surrounding area. It is a very safe feeling space where there are no worries. Mohan is a great host and he took us to see the Alloo baba which was a great day out. Would recommend for groups of friends or solo travellers as there has always been some friendly faces on the roof up for socialising.

Best place in Pushkar! We stayed there for 9 days and it was amazing! The friendly staff and owner took care of everything we needed with big smiles. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The rooftop restaurant is beautiful and they have great food too! Will be back here next time when in Pushkar for sure!
