We loved our two-night stay in this quiet hotel. The staff were all very friendly and keen to help. There were a variety of rooms available, but we must have had one of the best - a large corner room on on the first floor with a fabulous view. We loved the Tibetan furnishings. There is a restaurant with a... More

I moved into Pema Thang to be closer to town after a week of bad weather up the hill near Dharamkot. I inherited a large, comfortable room vacated by friends with a good bathroom on the ground floor. It has a balcony and a great view over the main temple and the Dalai Lama's residence. Wifi worked but not brilliantly. Room... More

The best bit about this place is that it transports for from the excesses of McLeod-Ganj and into its simple comforts. Friendly to the point no frills. Oh and yes wifi. Don't expect any plush interiors or fancy bath salts. It is what it is - effectively simple and comfortable.

Staff was helpful when notified that I am a senior woman traveling alone and they provided a room on the ground floor. The staff also offered the use of the hotel computer to check email and for correspondence.

We stayed here for ten nights and very much enjoyed our stay. The room was clean and comfortable with great balcony views. It's on a quiet road with Himalayan views at the back yet a few minutes walk from Mcleod Ganji. The attached restaurant was good there's a yoga studio and spa which we didn't use. Incredibly helpful staff who... More
