Stayed for 3 days in July 2016.Our family of 3 had taken a semi-deluxe room ,the only one opening onto the front verandha.Since it was off-season we had not booked the rooms in advance. But we could look at all the rooms before deciding.Mr Sharma and the other staff were extremely hospitable, giving us personal attention, They really treat you like... More

The rates are reasonable, since it is the heritage property of Govt of Hiamchal. The hotel was the palace of King of Kashmir a century ago. The heritage property is well maintained and is located in a beautiful quiet place away from the hustle bustle. The uphill trek to the hotel is difficult, so advisable to hire a taxi. The... More

Kashmir House,Dharamshala,is located close to the main road, but in a lane at a good height. It has got very good, well furnished rooms.Although it doesnt have a big lawn like some other HPTDC properties, there is enough place to sit outside and relax. You can enjoy the view on snow clad peaks if the weather is clear. Its location very close to... More

We stayed in The Kashmir House in mid March 2015, during our three day visit to Dharamshala. This is a small heritage hotel, just a little distance away from the main market. The building is old, but decently maintained. However the maintenance could have been better. It has a nice lawn in the front where one can enjoy tea. The... More

Hotel is situated near the market place still won’t be disturbed by the noisy market. Market is at a walk-able distance with all kinds of shops. Hotel is situated at the foothill of Meclondgung at a travel distance of half an hour. This being a weekend destination to most of these valley local travellers who often go up for both... More

Its a very good place especially for visitors who prefer to stay in Himachal Tourism hotels. This hotel is bit isolated but if you go by your own car or taxi then its perfect. You can get access to the main market only by car else you will be stuck in this isolated place because the drive is only 5... More
