This Villa Hotel set in a stately 9 acre heritage property has the added distinction of being the summer residence of the Raja Sahib of Kangra. The 17 room hotel exudes a royal touch and offers guests personalized service of a ‘Home Away From Home’. A stay at this cosy and beautiful heritage property allows you to feel one with... More

I was sceptical booking this place. However I am here for 2 days and I love the pace. The place reverberate with nostalgia and reflects the way people used to retreat in hills few decades ago. It is surrounded by green foliage and is on top of a hill between Dharamshala and Maclodgunj. The Food is excellent and homely. The... More

There was a loud bang and a flash of lightning. The local generator failed and plunged the entire hotel into darkness. We were all sat around the dinner table and had to eat luke warm dhal by torchlight. Yes, this wasn't quite as luxurious as other hotels I had stayed in in India. I gathered that when shortly having moved... More

Hotel situated well away from other properties. Although accommodation is basic it does have a certain charm. If you are expecting a modern hotel this is not for you. No fridge, no safe, no bar, no pool. Drinks can be ordered from the staff and delivered to your terrace. Meals are taken in a large dining room, no choice in... More

Clouds End Villa lived up to its name by being aloof from the crowd. 2 kms from mcleodganj towards the end of a road, this property offers killer views and fantastic rooms which are spacious and airy. The staff was very supportive and on the ball. The booking was a breeze and we were welcomed with smiles by the staff.... More

I read about this property and instantly booked it. It's away from main city and will have to ask for directions! Totally worth it! We got a small very clean cottage sufficient for me and mom! You won't find a typical manager running around but friendly staff checking on you! Food is amazing! This place is walkable distance from McLeod... More

We stayed for two nights and that was enough. It is such a shame as this heritage establishment has great potential if it was updated and upgraded, without losing its charm and heritage. We stayed in an annex which comprised two rooms with a shared living space. The living space had a massive window overlooking the valley, but the bedrooms... More

The rooms are perfectly adequate for a couple of nights and the setting is great. The evening meals were lovely and plentiful but breakfast choices are limited and could do with some tweaks such as more fruit, better quality coffee and fresh juice. Perhaps I am being a bit harsh but the grounds look tired and unloved. Given that Dharamsala... More

Cloud End Villa is supposed to be a royal home; presumably, that’s why some people are impressed and give it high ratings. It IS in a spectacular location, but the views are limited and the approach by road scary. The rooms were very clean (as were the linen and towels), though rather basically equipped. The bathroom was clean and everything... More
