I just returned from a month in India and the highlight of my journey was staying at Jagatram Niwas and walking down into McCleodGanj, Bhagsu, or Dharamsala daily. If you want a lovely, comfortable space to stay that is above the villages and noice, yet offers easy hiking and trekking this is for you. The rooms are nicely decorated in...

I do recommend this place which has been running for quite a long now... The owners are very kind and respectful for peace people usually look for in nature. Rooms are being kept very well and everything was working, the small kitchen on every floor is a real treasure :) Great for making coffee, or a quick sandwitch before heading...

Wonderful location, with a magnificent view. Bavinder was friendly and helpful. There is a very good booklet in the rooms with suggestions for what to do around McLeod Ganj and the wider region. Probably my most relaxing weekend in India.

I spent two weeks in the Jagatram Nivas, and what can I say...it was just perfect!!! Bahvinder and his family/team are super nice and helpful. From the first Day on I felt comfortable and homly there. The food is yummy and the rooms are the cleanest I've ever seen in India and they are really nice. One day I saw...

Five years too long & I was anxious & extremely happy to return to Jagatram Niwas..I felt at home once again as soon as Bhavinder greeted me with a cup of chai & it brought back good memories of celebrating Holi with this lovely family back in 2011..Apart from a couple of extra rooms since my wife and I were...

When reaching hotel we were late and about to reach there at 11 pm. We called the hotel guys and ask to tell the path to reach. He said you have to carry your luggage and walk for 10-15 minutes towards hotel as no road is connected. Since, the road for reaching there was so horrible and very rural. There...

My cousin and I went there expecting nothing. It was an impromptu trip. Jagatram Niwas was more than what we could have asked for. It was clean and well maintained with a kitchen. It felt so homely. Getting there was a bit of a challenge though. It took us about 25 to 30 mins of hiking to get there. I would,...

The guesthose was very clean. Bavinder and his team were very nice and helped where they could. I would definitely reccomend it! Although the next supermarket is in Bhagsu, it is worth climbing all the stairs.

This is a refreshing homestay. After traveling through India and staying in various hostels, this one is a breath of fresh air. Very clean, comfy, beautiful rooms, and a great view. It is a bit of a hike from tour spots, but not too bad. It's also at the base of the big hike up the Dharmasala mountains that end...

Pros first: Nice clean place. Good helpful people. Good service. Great view. You ask why the 3 Stars then? Con: The path to the guesthouse leaves you exhausted. Until and unless you are an athlete I dont think you can reach there in 10-15 mins. It took us 40-45 mins every time to reach there. 40 mins of arduous trek....
