This has to be one of Africa's best lodges with a relaxing and peaceful location. The rooms (bandas) are very comfortable and those with a veranda can sit and enjoy the wonderful sounds of the forest. Gorillas do come to the lodge perimeter but I did not see any. There are walks around the lodge, which are fun to do....

The lodge looks even better than advertised. You are welcomed by Marianna, and what a great host she is! We were just 4 guest for the 2 nights I spent there, but everything was running so smooth. Everybody is so nice and polite, they even do your laundry for free or clean your boots after the tracking. The food was...

Undivided attention and a gin & tonic is a must after gorilla tracking. Try hanging around the main house with a camera handy in case some gorillas come passing by. I myself was lucky to see the group of gorillas twice during my 4 nights stay. Also a good place for birding watching. The portion of the food may be...

Dear judysiu Many thanks for taking the time to share your feedback with us. How exciting that you saw the gorillas so close! Since your visit, we have learned that one of the female gorillas from the Rushegura family (who visit the lodge occasionally) gave birth. It is very exciting that we have a baby gorilla on our doorstep. The...

Good food (excellent vegetarian options) friendly and attentive staff, excellent complementary massage (great after gorilla tracking), and a quick turnaround on laundry (also great after gorilla tracking). They also clean your boots and gaiters up so they come back looking like new. Apparently? Rated as the top class lodge in Buhoma, it is very well situated for gorilla tracking in...
