It was a much needed breakaway from the stress of the lockdown in Gauteng. It was so peaceful. It was unfortunate on day #2 when we experienced a break in / theft of money and food items. Interesting enough, none of our electronic devices were stolen. Other than that, it was a brilliant spot for a good break.

This was a pleasant surprise and a great break. The dog's loved their well fenced garden. The trip up the mountain was fine, luckily we have a high clearance vehicle. Great views from the top of the mountain. Very comfortable beds with cushions and duvets that are comfy and warm. Unit has all that you would need for a weekend away. Can't wait to go again.

This was such a special weekend and we could not have asked for a better place. The dogs loved their well fenced garden and could not get enough. The trip up the mountain does require a high clearance vehicle, won't want to get up there in the rainy months :) Great hikes and the views go on forever. Even saw some hot air balloons in the distance. The units have everything one needs and the bedding was amazing, comfortable cushions and the duvets were nice and warm.

Wonderful little rest stop, If you take one of the units on top of the hill, I highly recommend a 4x4, or pack extremely light. Its a far walk with all the food and clothing. We stayed in Olienhout (the highest on the hill), was very cozy clean and came will all the stated items, best was the bath! Views are incredible and took some shots of the night sky as there is very little light pollution. Fires roared every night we were there as it was very cold. But during the day it was warm enough for a light jacket.

Loved the Plaashuis. Very comfortable and well equipped. The only issue we had was the gas heating of water in the kitchen - it was a freezing cold weekend and washing dishes in ice cold water was tricky. However we had a stunning weekend!
