I have been meaning to write this for a long time. My wife and I are expats living in Malawi. We have traveled all over this country. We have stayed in many of the lodges/hotels due to our ministry. Pumulani is the best one we have stayed in. It is very expensive but not compared to what you might pay... More

We loved everything about this place. The accommodation was spacious, appealingly decorated and well appointed, discreetly nestled into the hillside with superb views over the lake and mountains beyond. The bathroom was a sheer delight with its wonderfully decadent claw foot bath and expansive views. The meals were beautifully presented and tasted great, prepared with quality ingredients. As much fresh... More

Two daughters, mom and dad had the family villa on the beach - Wow, what a house! We didn't go inside the other lodges on the hillside but they look equally great peeking through the windows and the views are spectacular over Lake Malawi. The food was yummy and they worked with us to keep a 4- and a 6-year-old... More

We loved our 3 days at Pumulani and were extremely well taken care of. The rooms are huge with great views of the lake and the bonus of fans and air-conditioning. I loved our own little coffee station with cookies and the personalized (complimentary) mini bar. The staff are all wonderful and so friendly and eager to please. We loved... More

I really don't know where to start! This is one of the best experiences of my life. From the moment we were met at the airport until we left nothing could be too much trouble. The lodge is in a stunning location built into a hill side overlooking the lake, all the villas are individual and have balconies with wonderful... More

This was our first stop on our first trip to Malawi and we couldn't have set the bar higher. We wanted a brief change-up before continuing our safari vacation and chose Lake Malawi as the place to relax and try some fresh water snorkeling. As in most of the out of the way camps and lodges in Africa, the lead... More
