Detailed Reviews
The room was very pleasant for what we got. Very nice vibes. Heater worked fine and bed was extremely comfortable. The hot water didn't seem to work though. Absolute highlight was the 10JD dinner which was some upside chicken and rice - traditional Jordanian dinner and it was wonderful. Many places charge way too much for food with such small quantities but this really made my trip to Jordan. Staff was also excellent and very friendly. The free breakfast was also great with some really nice omelette. Balcony view was exceptional due to the height of the building on a mountain

First and worth considering is that this hotel is NOT located for quick easy access to the Petra visitor centre, you will need to wait for the shuttles to start (an hour after Petra opens) or taxi there. We had two rooms during our stay. The first had dirty bed linen, lukewarm water and faulty heating. It took some convincing to get moved to another functioning room, and this only happened when we got our travel agent involved. The second room was great, everything worked. Breakfast was excellent. The staff were either really helpful or not at all helpful.

We had a very nice stay at this hotel. Good food, big room and the quality of the sleep was awesome. It has really all you need for a simple stay. Although they were doing some works at the reception and the wifi didn’t work properly

Special shoutout to Maher, who accommodated my family and I and made us feel like queens!
Turkish bath and massage services provided by Mohammad Salem were exceptional.
There was an expansive dinner buffet for 10 Jordanian dinar tended to by Rashed, who brought us the portable heating device and mint tea.
Finally, clean bedrooms with breathtaking views capped a successful visit to one of the world’s most incredible locations. Would recommend to anyone looking for comfortable and nice accommodation in the Wadi Musa/Petra area.
P.S For anyone interested, Shishas are available on request!

A tatty hotel in need of refurbishment in all areas.
Our room had a switch with exposed wires by the headboard where you might put your hand when asleep.
Bathroom left a lot to be desired.
veiw were great,
break fast was good bar the fact they had one tatty toaster with only two slots of the for working.
Bar sell beer and the barman pretends its draught and 3% alcohol, its not. Its bottle and nil % Beer tasted fine for a non alcohol drink but why lie about it.
The saving grace is that the evening buffet was varied and tasty but let down by the same barman who tries to charge multiple times for the food
disapointed with this venue

Standard three-star hotel. Swimming pool was empty while I stayed at this hotel. Wi-Fi connection was not great, not terrible. Rooms were nice. There was a great view from dining room. Hotel has a very good localization, near to Petra (about 5 minutes with a car).

A great view, a great restaurant, and, above all a very nice staff. Thanks for all my trips there : it's just a great hotel!
I went there several times, and i didn't be surprised each time. All spent well. It's good to have a nice hotel after a so marvellous day in Petra. Thanks for all.
A big thanks to Khaled, Abd Amra, and Ali!

I was surprised to read a number of the negative comments about this hotel (we stayed at Hotel I for 2 nights) which is located just outside of Wadi Musa (1KM or less). We were very pleasantly surprised with this place, in particular the service provided by the gentlemen at the front desk and in the restaurant.
First, our room and bathroom were very clean and in excellent condition. And what a beautiful view of the sunset from the balcony!
Second, we had a free shuttle to and from Petra, which was a nice perk.
Third, we had occasion to enjoy the Turkish bath on-site after a long day of hiking at Petra. The bath comes at extra charge but was not too expensive (from what I could glean a little bit cheaper than those in town) and was just what the body needed after a long day!
Fourth, the included breakfast and buffet dinner were delicious and filling and the service provided by the waiter (I don't know his name) was excellent.
We were informed that the heat was turned off for the summer but, we found, this provided welcome relief from the daytime heat. Also, as other commenters have pointed out, there is construction on-going at the hotel (they are building a new, huge restaurant for guests which promises amazing views of the surrounding country-side) but we did not notice it affect our stay at all (most importantly our sleep!)
Lastly I need to make special mention of the receptionists (in particular Mutaman and Ali) who were very helpful in providing us information for our stay and for organising our onward travel. It is always appreciated when staff go "above and beyond" as these gentlemen did!

+1
We stayed at this hotel for three nights in October 2011. It is really a good hotel with good quality rooms and excellent value for money. I really fretted about staying here or the Movenpick - but this place is excellent and I am glad that I saved the money for the sites. Breakfast was ok - a little boring after three days but of good standard. We did the Petra by Night tours which was great fun. Also I had a turkish bath at the hotel which was so good and after a day sweating inside Petra. Overall this is a very comfortable hotel that meet the needs of those not wanting a hostel or paying a fortunate at Movenpick and others.
Room Tip: Rooms facing towards Petra or front of building had a better feel about them

This is probably way too late, but the hotel does provide a shuttle service. It leaves at 7 am. I don't remember what time it comes back
