I booked for two (2) nights. I arrived in Amman evening, and had problems with my luggage. It was tagged for additional security...so I was stuck for two hours at the airport. I made arrangements with the hotel for a taxi/ride from Airport to their hotel. It was reassuring that someone will be waiting for me. I arrived at the...

My wife and I spent two nights at the Rocky Mountain Hotel and found it a comfortable, or as they say homely, base to explore Petra. Coffee and breakfast on the top floor is a good way to start your day and their packed lunches are generous, as is their advice on how to discover Petra.

It's not the fanciest of places, but it's very homely with extremely friendly and accomodating staff. The room is beautifully decorated with Jordanian (?) designs. The terrace/lounge area has some of the best views of Wadi Musa. The free shuttle is helpful, it would be much better if they have extra shuttle for Petra by Night, because taxis in Petra...

You could almost miss Rocky Mountain in the rush to reach Petra but don't over look this little gem. The views from the balcony and Bedouin style roof restaurant are simply stunning. I have returned many times to the hotel. I first visited at Christmas when a decorated tree, dinner and the red rugs were a welcome sight after a...

I've stayed at this place probably 3 times over the last 3 years. Each time Jane (owner) is so helpful and hospitable, and the stay is comfortable. Its definitely not a fancy place- has a "grandma's house" feel, but I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Wadi Musa. Rooms are always clean, staff is nice. Also the top floor common area...

The room was nice with a beautiful view of the city through our window. The front desk staff was friendly and very helpful with arranging transportation to Petra and to our next destination. Our TV was acting up, but its OK because after spending 2 entire days in Petra we were too tired to watch TV anyways. However, overall I...

We stayed at Rocky Mountain for two nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We had a car with us so it was easy driving around. It is 5 minutes drive to the Petra visitors Center and they do offer shuttle service too. The rooms are basic but comfortable and offer spectacular views of the city. The roof top terrace is...

My friend and I stayed at this Hotel for two nights while visiting Petra. The hotel has great character, which is certainly helped by the owner Jane, who is both welcoming and helpful. She made the stay extremely enjoyable and was approachable for any enquiries we had. Even offering to move our car at the crack of dawn to a...

My overall experience here could be very long to write down, so let me just sum it up- 1. Friendly host- She's from new Zealand and married to a local, as soon as we checked in, she told us Everything about the hotel, Petra city before we could even ask. 2. View from the balcony is amazing, you can see...

The hotel is runned by a very friendly couple and they will make your stay very nice. They will give you a lot of information about Petra and they also could arrange a lot of trips for the next days. The hotel is located on the hill. Which means that you should take a taxi or the free shuttle of...
