Lovely hotel, so close to Petra visitor centre and restaurants on tourism street (near all great restaurants) and so reasonably priced. Definitely recommend for hikers wanting to explore Petra. Great breakfast included too!! All staff are also really friendly :)
This hotel cancelled on us at the last minute - do not trust them. 22 Aug 2022 - we booked 3 rooms at Silk Road Hotel (Petra) for 16 Sept 2022. 26 Aug 2022 - we declined the following offer: "good morning dear .is it oky if we give you as upgrade to a beautiful B&B 5 minuts by car from the entrance of petra" 27 Aug 2022 - Silk Road Hotel confirms we can maintain our existing reservation, stating "Dear David, thank you for your kind reply and we do looking forward to welcoming you at the Silk Road Hotel." 14 Sep 2022 - received message from booking.com stating "Silk Road Hotel has requested the cancellation of your booking on 2022-09-16." By this date, hotel prices had increased. 2 days before booking date - received voice message via Whatsapp saying our hotel rooms were no longer available 2 days before booking date - text message via Whatsapp saying that we had been moved to an alternate hotel (Edom Hotel) This alternative hotel that we were moved to was a downgrade (ranked #32 on TripAdvisor while Silk Road Hotel was ranked #12). No refund has been offered despite being downgraded - they have kept our full payment and hoped we wouldn't notice. Furthermore, Silk Road Hotel communicated their cancellation using my personal number via Whatsapp to avoid putting a cancellation through Booking.com, thereby keeping my money and maintaining their rating. A booking with Silk Road Hotel means nothing - do not trust them. Trip typeHoliday…
Hotel has a great location on the road 3 minutes walk from the Entrance to Petra Bedrooms are dated as expected but reasonable for most tourists. Breakfast is very poor. Showers were temperamental at times. Hot water is only between certain times of the day. Which can be annoying if your wanting a shower after a early morning hike. Friendly staff Reasonably priced.
This was undoubtedly the best hotel of our entire trip (15 days in Jordan and Israel). The hotel has a new and elegant look, with attention to detail as well; our room was impeccable, as was the bathroom. We visited this hotel as part of a package tour, for two nights with half board (this explains why I can't say anything about the costs). The breakfasts and dinners were also appreciable. The location is also convenient, just a few tens of meters from the entrance to Petra. Hot water in the rooms isn't present all day, but only a few hours in the morning and in the evening. But, being informed, this is not a serious problem.
This Is very good hotel! It's near to Petra site and the center city. The rooms are very confortabile and the personal are very gentle. Inside the room you can find a goods beeds and the air conditioned. Near the Hotel you can find many shop and supermarket.
The best part about the hotel is its location. It's 5 minute's walk to the petra visitor centre. About 7-8 minutes from the petra cave bar. This itself is a big enough reason to prefer the hotel. Specially once you are tired after a day long hike inside petra, you would always appreciate a short walk back to this hotel, which we did. We had a very simple room, overlooking nothing. The other rooms in the hotel might have a view but we were given a room just beside a dumping ground. All the staffs in the reception were nice, helpful though they are not exactly proficient in English. But that would really not be a hinderance. You will get your work done. The breakfast was included in the package and they were of average quality and choices. For the price they charge, i would recommend it for those who want to save little extra bucks for luxurious accomodation in wadi rum or dead sea. Petra is one place where i would suggest everyone not to splurge on accomodation as you will mostly be outside hiking. But if you are looking for a basic standard of luxury, skip this place and choose movenpick which is even nearer to petra visitor centre but which will come at double the costs if not more.…
Clean, basic amenities, good wifi in the rooms. Friendly staff and excellent service. Great location, close to Petra visitor centre and close to restaurants. Reasonable price which reflects the standard of the hotel. Quite dated but other than that - no real issue.
Nice staff. Looked ok in pictures, reality is different. Dated lobby, rooms. Couldn’t get wifi in room unless standing at the door. Breakfast included, however, we were only able to eat the bread and cheese. Walking distance to Petra entrance.
One of the best hotels in Petra. It is close to the visitor center, a two-minute walk away. And its employees all enjoy Jordanian hospitality. As for the facilities, they are very clean and excellent service. I recommend it to everyone... The most important thing is that the prices are very excellent compared to the service they provide.
A very nice, clean and reasonably priced hotel in Wadi Musa, which is ideally situated a stone’s throw from the entrance to Petra. Decent breakfast included, although sadly only instant coffee. They can provide you with a packed lunch for your day in Petra if you ask at reception which was very convenient if a little overpriced.
