Perched on the edge of the precipitous cliffs of Wadi Dana since 1995, this beautifully styled building merges elements of village vernacular architecture with more modern elements, creating a structure with a definable Arabic character, unlike any other in Jordan, offering breath-taking views of the reserve. It consists of only 24 comfortable rooms, 15 of them are deluxe room with it is own bathroom and balcony 9 are sharing bathroom. The Guesthouse is also equipped with facilities for courses and conferences, making a perfect location for retreats and workshops. The Guesthouse is open all year round.

Detailed Reviews
Fantastic location: all rooms have a view over the stunning Wadi Fenian, that you can hike to reach Fenian Eco Lodge with a local guide (which I highly recommend) and they will move your luggage while you do that.
Do not get room nr 2, which is close to an annoying neon light which lights up at night and can disturb sleep.
The bathrooms are shared, but we were lucky as there were few guests when we slept there.
Food is simple but tasty.
If you have planned a hike the following day, remember to organise water and packed lunch before leaving (asking at reception for indications on where to get that the night before the trip) so as not to waste time on the departure day, as it is best to leave early in the morning to avoid the full heat.

We stayed a few nights whilst walking the Dana Valley. Lovely room , a little tired but clean and spacious its fabulous shower allowed you to look out of a glazed side panel directly onto the gorge .
Best aspect was its great position, poised a above the valley with beautiful views.
Food OK Buffet style menu with decent evening meal choices though the breakfast food was a little limited and had been scavenged by a couple of coach parties so not much left towards end of breakfast . Most other RC. Lodges offer fresh eggs, omelettes, scrambled eggs etc . So was a bit surprised that it was just Arabic breakfast and hard boiled eggs.
The manager was really helpful and picked up up at the far end of the gorge walk and drive us back, taking 2.5 hours ( cost 50 dnr)
Little gift shop and craft studios on site worth a look and walk into the village .
All in all, a special place with spectacular landscape

We stayed here only 1 night in mid October. The location of the guesthouse built on a precipice jutting out overlooking the Wadi Dana & the views makes this place a worthwhile stop enroute to Petra. The rooms are not luxurious but big & comfortable enough....bathrooms are small & very basic but the shower has a great view. Dinner was decent & the kitchen staff very sweet bringing us warm bread because I can't have cold pita. Breakfast however was not good at all . We didn't have enough time to do the longer hikes but we did drive down to the Rumana campsite for which we had to pay an extra 10JD. They take you to the campsite in a covered truck on some really bumpy trails with amazing views & once there can take any of the hiking trails.
The place does need a refurb otherwise the manager & staff at the guesthouse were very friendly & nice . Its very difficult to get a booking here so book well ahead.

Rooms have the best view I think I have experienced from a hotel: Looking at the valley with no disturbing man made objects! Rooms are big, nice and well furnished. Bathroom is nice, and if you draw the curtain away, you have the most amazing view from the shower. Restaurant is good, but remember to check the time for breakfast noted on the whiteboard. Staff is very friendly and helpfull.

We had a nice, big, clean room in the guest house that overlooked an amazing view. The food we had for breakfast and dinner was also very tasty and catered to us especially! We felt so welcomed, everyone is so friendly and kind. As it was our honeymoon they even decorated the room wtih balloons and petals, this was such a nice touch that made the stay even more special.

The room was very spacious, and there was a stupendous view over the canyon - even from the floor to ceiling window wall in the shower! A "double" room consists of two twin beds, but also with a sitting area, a balcony, mini-fridge and kettle. The AC worked very well and everything was very clean. Food is basic, but tasty.
If you are looking for guided hikes, don't go during Ramadan. We had limited time to hike (3 hours) and were somewhat disappointed in where we could go and what we could see. That was just our personal expectations. It is a gorgeous, unique environment.

All the staff, and in particular, Ali, are friendly, helpful and attentive. The setting is glorious and blends harmoniously with the cliffs. The rooms are very generously sized, with attractive, simple furniture in a chic village vernacular. The balcony is a marvelous spot for watching the abundant birdlife.
The gentle breeze and lower temperatures make for relaxing walks.

As described elsewhere the location of the hotel is unmatched, including the design of the rooms ensuring that even the bathrooms have amazing views of the valley. However, rooms may be up for a facelift or at least upkeeping (humidity spots throughout the building). Also as noted in several comments before the breakfast is below par for international and Jordan standards -specially when considering the price for value tradeoff.

Dana Guest House is in a remarkable location with spectacular views of Jordan’s Rift Valley.
Our room was very comfortable and the shower had views to die for.
The staff were lovely, especially Ali, and the food was good if basic.
Our daughter enjoyed the nature shop!

The view makes the place, thanks to a glorious location overlooking the valley.
From our room balcony (and even from our shower!!!) we could enjoy spectacular views and watch abundant birdlife.
Luxury rooms are not really luxury: they are big, clean and have private bathrooms, but they are old and tired. We stayed for two nights and the room wasn’t cleaned after the first night. I found the rate of 100 JD per night for a double room definitely overpriced. I guess you pay for the view and the lack of facilities in the area. Hopefully part of the money will go for the conservation of the reserve. The included breakfast was Jordanian style, food was good with plenty of choices.
If you go on any of the trails starting from Rummana Campsite you are required to pay an extra fee of 10 JD per person (other than the entrance fee and conservation fee which are included in the room rate).
