The Owners Krasimir & Maria were so friendly. Krasimir lifted us from Plovdiv airport and left us back again for 180lev each way which was much better than any other quote I got. We were greeted with Maria's homemade Cookies when we arrived. we had a lovely breakfast each morning and we ate dinner here one evening which was also very nice. Krasimir makes a lovely homemade wine and when I suggested purchasing a bottle to take home he gifted us one each. I contacted Krasimir a few times before the trip and he was always very quick to reply. the room was very clean and cosy.

Chris and Maria welcomed us with warm cookies and a huge smile on the first day and continued the personal friendly service throughout the whole week! The hotel is a walk away from the centre of town and the gondola. Rooms were comfy and super clean. Lots of communal rooms including a lounge with open fire and a lovely games room. We were initially going to eat out all week but the great quality and value breakfast and incredible dinners beat the competition hands down! So friendly and so helpful for a bunch of beginner skiers of adults and children. Cannot recommend enough!

A lovely week in Rahoff Hotel with the friendly and welcoming Chris and Maria. They looked after my family and friends from the start. Comfortable and simple Hotel with a lovely common room and some amazing Bulgarian home cooked meals. Very good value and a good base for our first skiing trip.

We visited in February, myself and my 10 year old twins for a ski holiday. I chose the Rahoff Hotel on the basis of the previous wonderful reviews and I wasn't disappointed, it was as described and so much more. Kris and Maria are amazing and I can't sing their praises enough, such a warm and friendly couple who's aim is to ensure their guests have a really great holiday. Kris and Maria have a great team working with them, a chef who cooks really tasty Bulgarian fare but if you have a a particular request she will cater to your needs, I have to mention to Mario such a nice person, he waits on in the restaurant looking after your you. The cleaners also take pride in their role, lovely ladies keeping the rooms spotless with daily fresh towels. I was originally put off going to Bansko skiing due to the Gondola queues in February, they are long however Kris offers his guests a route that you can get the Gondola at the mid station completely avoiding the queues altogether. The Hotel is a short walk to the Gondola and an even shorter walk to the Old Town of Bansko, a really pretty town. Thank you Kris & Maria you made our holiday and we will be back to the Rahoff for our next Ski holiday.

Only superlatives about this hotel. Rooms are spacious, comfortable and very clean. Service is excellent and breakfast is delicious and with great variety. You can have also other meals. Location is a few minutes walk from city center and the ski gondola. The owner will drive you in the morning to the ski lift, if you prefer. But the best thing about this hotel is the Rahoff: Krasimir and Maria and their family. They are always there for your needs and give you the feeling of home with a treatment for VIP. Highly recommended.

My husband and I have recently retired and are traveling to many places around the world. What distinguishes Rahoff hotel from "the usual" hotels is the warm hospitality of the family who owns and runs the hotel - Maria and Krassi. We happen to stay in the hotel during Christmas Eve and became part of an exceptional and very traditional Christmas Eve celebration, comprising the extended family of Maria and Krassi with the hotel guests. The hotel has an outstanding breakfast with freshly home baked pasties, cakes, pancakes etc. The hosts are more than willing to guide guest and to facilitate the stay. The location is very convenient between the center of the town and the ski lift. We would recommend the hotel to anyone who values family atmosphere, personal attention and great value for money. We are planning to return in the summer to see Pirin Mountain in full bloom! Мария и Краси, благодарим ви от сърце за гостоприемството и чудесното прекарване ! До нови срещи!

We stayed here for the second half of a week's self-guided hiking with Traventuria (Summits and Lakes of the Rila and Pirin Mountains). The overwhelming impression as so many have said is of the warmth and enthusiasm of the welcome and all the service given by "Chris" and Mariya. They could not have done more to make our stay comfortable and fun. Breakfasts are generous and varied, and if you request an evening meal, be prepared for a real treat, with no effort spared to do something special. The rooms are comfortable and very clean, and the WiFi works well. Sadly in one sense, Bansko continues to grow apace, and the space around the hotel is now becoming completely built up, compromising their view to the Pirin Mountains to some extent. But it's only a 10 minute walk into town, and there you also have a good choice of restaurants and a few places of interest. Very highly recommended for your stay in Bansko.

Rahoff Hotel is a traditional-style 15-room hotel on the outskirts of Bansko (about ten minutes’ walk to the centre), run by the owners, Maria and Krasi. At our two-night visit, outside both the skiing and the summer seasons, there were only three other guests. Nevertheless the owners provided two very good breakfast buffets, two superb Bulgarian evening meals, a demonstration of cooking a Bulgarian stew, home-made wine and rakia, and a packed lunch for our long journey on the narrow-gauge single-track railway to Plovdiv. Our bedroom was quite simple, but was very clean, the bed comfortable, and we could sit on our balcony to look at the mountains. On our last morning Krasi also kindly took us to the station in his own car to save us faffing around finding a taxi. The final cost turned out to be excellent value.

Outstandingly good in all respects especially the wonderful helpfulness of Krasimir and Mariya. Dinner with friends in the large dining area with music and dance added even more to the experience. Thank you both!

I found this hotel online and a group of 18 booked to stay there for a week’s walking holiday. It was the perfect choice. Krasi & Mariya are wonderful hosts and go out of their way to ensure everyone enjoys the their stay at the Rahoff. From baking gluten free foods for those who required them - to arranging transfers to the start of walks - to bringing us to the hot mineral pools after our walks - to guiding us in the snow on a high level walk - to inviting us to go to catch fish for dinner with Krasi, they couldn’t have done any more for us. Breakfast is substantial with fresh baking every morning, the accommodation is comfortable and clean. Even a slight smell from the drain in some of the bathrooms can be overlooked because everything else is so good. Very reasonably priced (I recommend booking directly with the hotel) & highly recommended.
