Me and my wife stayed there for 2 day ski vacation. The hotel was very cozy, warm and clean. The staff is very polite. The food is good. It have a parking, sauna, steam bath and a hot tube. The hotel provides free shuttle to the ski center. It is very close to the town center meanwhile it is placed on a very quiet street. It is perfect for families.
Just what we expected . Solid 3 star hotel. Very friendly staff , relatively small rooms perfectly heated . Food above expectations . Good location , practically in the middle of the main and only street in Bansko , a few steps from the center. About 20 min walk from the ski gondola . Very fine for the price you pay.
I was very lucky to stumble across this hotel having arrived in Bansko without prior booking. The welcome I received was warm and the price very good value. I was given a large room with balcony giving beautiful views of the mountain. The to was very clean and had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The breakfast is small but adequate. The family that own this hotel really understand customer service, speak good English and did everything they could to make my stay very enjoyable.I should mention the location is in the centre of the old town with shops and restaurants surrounding it Thank you to the family for a wonderful stay
The hotel is really clean and cosy. Service is great, personell warming. We came earlier than expected, but still the check-in allowed us to go to our room. It was really, really clean and spacious with a really clean bathroom.Definitely coming back if I have a chance
I visited “Elitsa” hotel before 1 week at Christmas period expected based on my previous visits there that i will find a warm place (the snow was 1 meter deep and the temperature -6 Celsius) to enjoy skiing at the lovely Bansko mountains. I was very disappointed because i found no light outside and inside the hotel (only the necessary) no reception person (i arrived at 8:30 at night) only two men hanging around guarding the place. I asked a room and the guys said ok and showed me 2 rooms to pick up. I noticed that in the rooms was very cold and when i asked why, they answered that there is no central heating because the gas or petrol was very expensive and for heating i have to use only the air condition and wait until the room gets the proper temperature. I imagine myself to come back for a full skiing day frozen to the bone and wait for the air condition warm up the room. After that, i decided to leave the hotel and stay to any other hotel with less money (they asked 75 lev) and more heating... The problem is that the hotel still makes reservations from Internet, So Be Aware all the internet bookers in order not to make mistake and spoil your winter vacations. I hope the owner of this place understand that has a beautiful hotel and it’s a pity to spoil its reputation with bad management moves.…
After a long trip to Balkans we stayed there again August 2011 going back to Greece. We tried to find other hotels for testing reasons but at the mid of summer and with very hot weather at bansko!!!!we failed, because the most of them were closed. So we went to Elitsa and the people there were very friendly and helpful. For me its a hotel that you can trust, with very good price and in the center of the Bansko life.
stayed here for 1 night. payed 30lev. clean, quiet , friendly staff. food was a bit poor and there english was not very good but neithers my bulgarian. big log fires in foyers, free wifi in room.
Very nice hotel in the center of bansko with spacious rooms. I stayed in one with slope ceiling and it was very nice. The distance from gondola lift is about 15' on foot and hard to reach it with the ski equipment without car.The facilities for 3star hotel are more than enough and the price pretty good.very helpful staff with some people speaking English.
I booked a week holiday at this hotel which was an effort in itself. When I called directly no-one spoke English. I booked via priceline then by wife became pregnant with twins. She has not been well and I had to cancel. Priceline confirmed the cancelation and forwarded to the hotel - but of course I have heard nothing. The hotel is capable enough to take my £230 however. No e-mail contact address even though their website is in English USELESS - hope i can claim on my holiday insurance
This is one of the' new age' of Bulgaria hotels. Its brand new and very modern, but perhaps not built to the same standards as hotels in the west of Europe. The rooms are large, clean and decorated in a plain minimal style. Lovely large bathroom. We opted for the 'lux' room which is only £8 more so probably worth it. The staff are quite nice and helpful if you get past the usual Bulgarian brusque nature. I asked for mulled wine and they made me one specially which was nice. But my partner is Bulgarian so i'm not sure if we get special treatment! I must say generally in bulgaria when i'm on my own the women aren't nearly as helpful and often quite rude! The breakfast and dinner was included in the price, but was buffet style and if you arent there early often cold and not that great. We spent a lot of time in our room as we both had flu so the hotel was a nice place to be! Good tv and wireless internet. The sauna was nice but the jacuzzi didn't really work, same goes for the hairdryer in the bathroom. I get the feeling they were cost costing when it came to the details here. There are so many new hotels in Bansko god knows how they fill them all. It was very expensive here this new year. In the summer we founds rooms on the coast very reasonable for the price (around £25 a night but ski resorts here seem to be a rip off at £65 a night which is a fortune here. It seems like they're cashing in on who they perceive to be rich. i.e. us tourists. The poor bulgarians can't even afford to go on hols in their own country anymore. However i doubt i'll ever come to Bansko again as its a bit mixed very commercial and a bit dirty. The centre is nice though with lots of nice cosy bulgarain bistros with log fires and music. Though the flu didn't help.…
