Nice pool, great spa, modern and large spacious apartments, delicious meals, location far from the crowded town but still very close to the Gondola (7-8 minutes walk). Only thing I didn't like was that we had to exit outside if we wanted to go the restaurant or the spa. This was great problem if you want to go to the pool in your swimsuit and you have to go outside in the cold.
St. John Hill Bansko Ski & Spa Resort is a great komplex where you can enjoy in the big hotel yard, especially when is snow covered this yard, you can enjoy in the great appartment, suitable for family with kids and the staff is very friendly. Great location on the same top of Bansko, from where is a great view of the mountain.
I would like to thank the Manager for the Kind Upgrade that he gave me, when i arrived. Very Nice of him.The Hotel has a nice ambience and the service is very good. I loved the Fitness room, the pool area , the Jacuzzi and the Sauna! There is a kind Lady who is cleaning all day, everything!!Congratulations!! The Breakfast needs a Higher quality but the rest are Super! I hoghly reccoment it to everyone.
Although the price for a small suite in high season was attractive, I cannot say that me and my family were satisfied. Firstly, the room was so big, which is necessary for skiers. But the decoration and the furniture was as simple as possible.(You expect more from a 4-star-resort). Both breakfast and dinner were well-cooked, but the variety was so limited! Just 4-5 different dishes each day. Finally, the most disturbing one, the elevator of our complex was out of order on one day. We did not mind, until it was out of order again when we had our checkout and we had to carry our luggage in the morning from the 3rd floor. Generally, staff was helpful and we did not have any serious issues. But when you reserve a room in a "4-star-resort", you want a 4-star-service !!
Lovely place really clean comfortable apartment, About a 15/20min walk to the Ski lift which was a good warm up in the morning walking down, the taxis from centre of town back to apartment was on average £2.50-£3.50 so easy and cheap to get in and out of town
We have stayed there for a week in January. The first impression of the hotel is that it is a bit far from the centre. Also, the access roads weren't cleaned good, and, although there has been a lot of snow during the previous days, is unacceptable. It is an apart hotel, so in order to go to the restaurant/ reception/ spa center you have to leave the apartment building. The food provided for breakfast and dinner was of a relatively good quality and quantity, however the staff there was slow. We found the room to be cozy, but not suitable for a four-star hotel. Bathroom accessories, such as towel holders or shelf, were missing. There wasn't any cutlery in the kitchen as well. When we asked for the fireplace the receptionist told us it was just for taking pictures of/with. The bed wasn't an actual bed, but a pull out sofa bed. The jacuzzi in the spa center is too small for such a big hotel. The sauna, on the other hand, was great. One more negative thing is that the shuttles aren't as frequent as they should be and there are none in the evening hours (having in mind the location and weather circumstances). The personnel was kind, but there wasn't much more they could do. When all is summed up, it is a good budget hotel (if you find a good offer as we did), but don't expect too much.…
St. John Hill Bansko Ski & Spa Resort is a really great, great hotel. This hotell offers great spa, great architecture, modern hotel with reallu great apartments, and also food is great. Very good fascilities
The apartments are cosy. but do not rely on the staff there apart from reception). 20 minute wait for a cappucino only to be told after i ordered, they have no cappucino. 45 minute wait for 2 club sandwiches (bear in mind the restaurant was empty). Asked room service to change the sheets, when they arrived one of the ladies said very rudely in bulgarian "we changed the sheets yesterday".. The last day here there was a fire (the hotels' fuse box burst into flames) we were not immediately contacted or evacuated (they did offer the night free of charge as there was no heating or electricity for the night)
Very new Apart Hotel located on a hill just over the city center on a quiet street with free parking all the time. Very friendly staff which cares for every detail especially for guests confort. Everything we asked they realized in minutes. Kitchen is Excellent !!! Everything we have eaten was fresh and tasty. No any cheap bulgarian junk food. Kitchen was mostly greek. Apartment was very clean and maintained daily.
We spent 4 days in St. John Hill this winter, a family of 4 with two children ages 9 and 7. We had a really good time. Sleep was good, view is amazing since the hotel is at the highest point of Bansko and looks directly towards the mountains. The air was sooo good. All services were on an excellent level, cleaning and new towels changed daily and plenty. The small apartment was very warm all the time, and had a very cozy armchair right next to the TV. The TV signal quality was not that good, though. Food was good enough, tasty but not with high variety. One of my biggest issues was that we were not able to park on the hotel parking lot because of too much snow - when this happens the Hotel should coordinate a cleaning team, not wait only for the sun or the official city service. Also, we were staying on the 4th floor and the elevator did not work. The pool in the hotel was great, very clean and new. Lockers for the pool and spa were sparce, there should be more to accomodate all the guests. Everything considered, we would come back for sure.…
