Yes this hotel is ideal for one night to explore the old city centre, but room and bathroom are very tight. In the bathroom you struggle to close the bathroom door. Never take a room on the 4th floor, specially if you are long. Ceilings there are even tighter and at peak times there is not enough water preassure to reach the top floor.

We were a group of 10 people and had reserved 5 double rooms. Everything was great, comfortable rooms with all necessary equipment. Staff was very kind as gentle. Breakfast was included in room price and it was amazing. We had a variety of foods so it met all our expectations. It had a great location too. I would absolutely recommend it.

I organized an event in this hotel in July. Initially I was really hesitant as to the quality of service provided in the hotel given that I had to host the event for 35 persons. I was so positively impressed. Everything was up to the standard. The location of the hotel is fantastic; clean and cozy rooms. Tasty breakfast on the terrace of the hotel. The staff was very attentive. On top of all, one of the participants lost her golden bracelet and she didn't even notice until we were informed by the manager of the hotel that it was found on the floor. I would definitely return there.

Hotel Argjiro is located in a beautiful historical building, full of rich history. We had high expectations for this hotel based on reviews and friendly communication whilst booking via email. Unfortunately upon arrival, the staff didn't help with luggage nor did we receive the warm greeting we were hoping for, but just asked for passports and were given our key to find our room. We felt the hotel lacked warmth from the staff and there was no atmosphere. The rooms were spacious enough and well furnished with comfortable beds. The room did have a beautiful terrace that overlooked the bazaar. We chose a room overlooking the bazaar which was beautiful, although if you are a light sleeper you may want to opt for another room, due to the barking dogs all night long. The breakfast was quite a spread, unfortunately, it missed the mark for us and some of the dishes were served cold when should have been hot. Not the usual quality we have become to enjoy in Albania. The restaurant is hidden away at the back of the hotel, with no windows or view, so the ambiance is cold. We decided to reduce our stay and move to the new Hotel Fantasy which ticked all our boxes from luxury accommodation, cuisine, and the warmest and friendliest staff, you are also spoilt with the most breathtaking views of the mountains and the Castle of Gjirokastra.

Hello Mrs Sally ! First of all we want to thank you for your review , After our communication with e mail we arranged for you a professional taxi driver as you wished with a very good price. ( As we saw from your posts you drove with this taxi in south-east Albania). In your arrivence in the hotel the driver and staff helped you with your luggage and served traditional gliko to welcome you. The room you stayed is one of the best of our hotel witch was given to you with half price. The dog is the mascot of the pazar -we are sorry about the disturbance . Breakfast is one of our good points , we believe the waffle was cold because of the ice cream. You should know that in this difficult time for tourism we are trying very hard to satisfy every customer with reduced staff. You say that we are cold staff , We say we are professinals . About the atmosphere: every one is free to accommodate wherever one wants. Sincerely Hotel Argjiro staff!

Great hotel in a fabulous location at the beginning of the old town. The staff were attentive and the room spotless. For me, the highlight was the breakfast with everything on offer including ice-cream. I have never had ice-cream for breakfast before, but I could get used to it!!

The hotel has a very good location in the old Bazaar. The room was clean and neat and had also a small balcony with a view. Additionally, the room was wood decorated giving it an authentic feeling. The restaurant-bar of the hotel was cozy and with nice music. Happy with the service also.

I found this hotel by accident. I parked my car and looked for a closest hotel in the parking lot. To my surprise, it was the best hotel I stayed in my 12 days trip in Albania. All the employees are very professional, polite and speak English very well. The breakfast and service were great. Highly recommend it.
