Our stay here started ominously! On arrival the manager told us that essentially while she was not present someone had overbooked the hotel and we did not have a room for the first two nights of the stay! However, she then proceeded to solve the problem by telling us she had booked a room in another hotel for us, drove us there, arranged to collect us and then upgraded our room at the Arvi for the rest of our stay! Whilst not a great start I can't fault her solution focused approach.
On return to the Arvi we got a superior room on the 3rd floor with a balcony and sea views. The room was huge!! Nice bathroom too, with a walk in shower. Comfortable bed, two sofas and a fridge. The room was great! It became noisey over the weekend at night when it felt like every person in Durres was driving along the seafront road!! Also heard someone door knocking and offering massages?!
Security at reception a little lax - we stopped leaving our key when we realised you could help yourself!
Breakfast is standard Albanian, if you wait a little there are great croissants! Bonus is you can eat on the terrace at the front of the hotel.
Great location - short walk to sea front, Roman ruins, Mosque and old town plus lots of restaurants.

My family and I spent 4 nights at the hotel. Our room was spacious, the view from the balcony was amazing, and the breakfast buffet every morning was fantastic. Anyone with kids will find that a godsend. With plenty of options for kids and adults you don’t have to worry, you can relax and enjoy your morning, leisurely.
The highlights for us were the dinners though. The meals were flavorful and highlighted the local seafood cuisine.
All aspects of the stay were 5/5 for us. Would easily go again.

The sea-front hotel is modern and has friendly staff. Breakfast is really nice with fresh orange juice. The only problem we had, was the noise from a bar around the corner, that sounded like a discotheque - not very good if you look for sleep. But it was just one night.

If the welcome and the restaurant are very beautiful, the fact remains that the room that was allocated to us did not deserve even two stars! Very small, noisy, reeking of tobacco (there were butts on the windowsill), the bathroom very small, unworthy of a 4 star. For this Award 80 euros, we find much better to hard. The breakfast was good for him.

When you enter Hotel Arvi you are greeted by the nicest staff. Our room was really clean and fresh. Good hotel with a nice view at the front and spotlessly clean. The breakfast is included with plenty of choice and fresh ingredients. We stayed for 5 days and were very well looked after, thanks especially to Merri and the cleaning team!!

We arrived tonight for our stop in Durres. Spacious rooms with very comfortable beds. The dinner was really delicious: mixed salad with tuna, bruschetta with fresh tomato, fish soup, grilled sea bream with a side of grilled vegetables and to finish in sweetness stuffed puffs!

Hotel Arvi is not the most luxurious of hotel or restaurants. In fact, the rooms need upgrading. The dining is ok not exception. What made Hotel Arvi exception was Miri. We first met him as the Receptionists upon arriving from abroad. He was a smiling man who offered us an upgraded room and plenty of support when we needed it. We later ran into him as he doubled his duties as a waiter. We even ran into him at the nearby grocery store. He was also nice to us, smiling and joking. He truly made our stay. The rest of the staff were not as inviting. No one smiled like Miri. No one really cared except Miri. If I ever returned to Durres, I would stay at the Hotel Arvi only if Miri was there. Bravo to you sir. You are exceptional is your hosting, service and being a friendly person to know.

Excellent location on the sea front, this is a smart boutique hotel with good decor.
The bedroom furniture is basic but the view makes up for this.
We stayed one night and had dinner in the hotel which was excellent. However breakfast was disappointing as there were no facilities for toasting and no decaf coffee.

A very nice hotel for a one-night stay in Durres town centre before moving on to Golem for a beach stay. Excellently located along the sea front and within walking distance of ancient ruins and all local amenities. Good restaurant food too and an adequate breakfast. Would recommend for a stay in Durres.
