We so enjoyed The Riverview cabins. This is a hidden gem for sure. Everything from check in to checkout was perfect! It snowed during our stay and they checked on us and brought us wood to burn in the fireplace. I can't even put into words how beautiful this place is. We will definitely be back.

We were in the Southwest Cabin for a couple of nights. It had a smokey smell to it, but that's what you get with a cabin having a wood burning fireplace that is used a lot. It was not the right time of year for us to burn wood. The kitchen was apportioned well. We were able to cook a couple of meals. The queen bed was tucked in a room at the back; not much space for walking around it or your suitcases. There was a small closet. The bathroom was modest, but clean. The TV and cable worked fine once we figured out how to turn things on. The TV is above the fireplace which is just a little too high for such a small viewing space. The hot tub was nice, but could have been a little cleaner (a bit sandy feeling). It overlooked a nicely treed descending hill with a view of nothing but nature. The nearby river was swollen from rains, so there wasn't an opportunity to wade in it. It was running a bit fast for even canoes, in my opinion. During dryer weather, I can see it being a nice one in which to wade, canoe, and/or swim. We took advantage of the horseshoes for some old fashioned fun. There were horses to ride for a price. We passed that option up for hiking. We were limited in our hiking by flowing water, but ,again, I can imagine the trails are better at dryer times. This is more out in the country, but a small store is nearby. There is a decent sized town with restaurants about 20 minutes away. We stumbled upon the drive to Queen Wilhelmina State Park nearby. It was worth the drive. We'd go back - especially at a dryer time.

We spent the weekend in cabin #8, the Rose Cabin for two. Everything was perfect! The cabin was cute, clean and accomodating, the bed was very comfortable. We spent alot of time on the porch that overlooks the river, the view is AMAZING and you can hear the sound of the water, it's so close. Oh and the hot tub was icing on the cake! 5 stars and we will definitely go back!

My husband and I stayed here for our 1 year anniversary, it is the cutest cabin (& very clean). It was perfect for the two of us. The bed was so comfy! Even if we had kids the loft was so cute and could easily accommodate two more people.

The hot tub was an AMAZING plus to end our riding adventure, that turned into losing our car keys (where the cabin key was located) and having to contact the cabin owner for a spare key for the interim, until somebody could bring us a spare. The cabin owner even went above and beyond and offered to give us a ride back to the cabin from where we were located 30 minutes away - we had already found another way back, but we were so appreciative.

The customer service was easily the best we have ever received. We we will definitely be back and hopefully get to enjoy the cabin and all it has to offer!

We had to change our plans to kayak the Buffalo River due to weather. Riverview was overly accommodating with the type of service and adventure we needed, especially for being a last minute change. The weather changed and got bad there too and they were there for us to make sure we made it back to our car safely. Thoroughly impressed and definitely plan to come back to complete a longer run.

My husband and I stayed here and we will definitely be coming back. Next time we will bring the kids. Everything was clean and everyone was nice. We were told they are adding horseback riding and side by side to go on the trails.

Pros - Clean, Spacious Cabin. The friendliest staff I’ve ever come across. Many different activity options on site (pool, playground, horseback riding, floating, etc.) Beautiful, Peaceful location.

Cons - Our particular cabin (#10) was on a pretty steep hill. The path down to the water was not an easy walk for everyone in our group (traveled with someone who has a disability) The fire pit was also on an incline and not everyone in the group was able to stand at that angle. I wouldn’t recommend this specific cabin for anyone with any walking difficulties.

Overall, by the time we left we were already looking at next available dates to come back for a weekend :)

Beautiful early spring family getaway! Cabin is accurate as described on website, small but sufficient and clean. Not a problem if you spend most of your time outdoors — which you absolutely will want to do. Despite being early in the season, there were tufts of daffodils blooming everywhere and beautiful creeks and streams running on the property. Best of all for us — the horses. We took two trail rides and our teenage daughter spent much time petting the horses each day. The owners and staff were kind and accommodating in every way. We will be back.

Met up with my daughter and her boyfriend at Cabin #3. The cabin was small (as expected), but very comfortable (a pleasant surprise). We spent the majority of our stay outside. We hiked the Riverview Trail (located on the property), the Rockhouse Trail, Lover’s Leap (at Queen Wilhelmina State Park), and the Serendipity Trail (near the cabin). The Serendipity Trail was all torn up and a bit confusing. I wouldn’t recommend it in its current condition! The weather was beautiful. We chose not to canoe, as the water was low and we brought our dogs, but hope to give it a try on our next visit! We prepared most meals at the cabin and sat outside around the fire pit. We do recommend driving over to Mena for some amazing food at Little Italy II! We had a wonderful stay in Cabin #3!
Note What to Bring: camp chairs for the fire pit, plenty of wine/spirits as it’s a two hour round trip to the package store, a wine opener, a lighter for the fire.

"If you are looking for absolute peace and quiet; where you can soak in the hot tub and cook out on the cabin grill, this is the place. There are amenities such as fishing, floating, horseback riding, kayaking, etc. available for those that desire it."
