Detailed Reviews
The fishing continues to be just great on the White River. The new owners at Norfork Trout Dock are doing a wonderful job of running the place and making improvements. Customer service is just excellent. I will be back again and again.

The new owners are quickly putting their own stamp on this old fish camp. Just finished my 26th trip and it truly just gets better and better. The service is first class! Sons Mike and Mitch have taken over the dock duties and have it humming. You just can't ask for anything better. Love Norfork!

I have been a lot of places around the world in 26 years in the Navy and 24 years retired. I have fished from Diego Garcia to Florida. This is the premier fishing, relaxing, and rejuvenation resort I have experienced. It is #1 among hundreds...The Best...None Better. The staff is the best with where to fish and how to enjoy!!! If you are within a days drive DO NOT MISS Norfork Trout Dock!!! I promise, you go and you will go again and again...as long as Russell and Kim own it!!!

Recently stayed in rental house for two stints of 3 and 4 weeks. Found icemaker not working on arrival, fixed by owner Mike Harrison in 1 day. Very responsive to any needs, although there were very few. Second rental there - both houses excellent for families with fishermen or without. Clean and very convenient. Wildlife in area fabulous: " up close and personal " with bald eagles (nearly every day), mink, river otter, bobcat, and others. Dock staff very knowledgeable about fishing, river conditions, and very eager to see we had a good time. Location was excellent - launched my own boat within 5 minutes; easy trip to Mountain Home for major supplies, local grocery open 7 days . Good sightseeing within 1 hour ( Blanchard Springs Caverns, Ozark Folk Center, town of Mountain View for weekend music); two excellent restaurants within 15 minute drive. Had lower unit outboard problem and local marinas swamped, but Kevin Howard and owner Mike Harrison got me up and running within a day or two. Also very helpful when car A/C died and got local shop for me - done in 1 day. Have already booked for next year. Give them a try - you won't be disappointed!

I've been to Mountain Home so often I bought a trailer in a Senior Park as a vacation get away. Every time my wife and I go we fish at the Trout Dock, where the White and the Norfork Rivers meet. We have never failed to get our limit of Rainbow Trout in the 2-4 pound range. I've never had so much fun trout fishing and I'm from Northern California where trout are abundant. I have to fish from shore due to a handicap, but the shoreline is gentle and very accessible. Though I have never stayed at the resort it appears clean and is very busy. I havde talked to numerous folks while fishing who stay at the resort and they all speak very highly of its cleanliness and friendly staff. The resort provides guided fishing trips in addition to renting fishing boats with or without motors. They have ample parking for boats and trailers also.

I have been going to the Norfork Trout Dock annually for over 20 years. It is a wonderful place for a family vacation or just several day of fishing with friends. The staff are very helpful and want to serve. I have always caught lots of fish! The houses are neat, clean, and reasonable. They have a wonderful setup for group meetings and I have had as many as 62 men there for conferences. You can't beat the Norfork Trout Dock for staff who are friendly and helpful, facilities that can accommodate small and large groups, and you catch fish!

We've stayed at Gene's for the last nine years for a fall fishing trip and found the place to meet or surpass our needs. The cabin is very comfortable for three or four fisherman. The staff has been helpful and friendly at all times.

We have been staying with Mike Harrison the owner for several years. We started going fishing here before my wife and I were married. This trip marked our 17th yr. Along the way our good friends started to come with us to share the cabin for the week. Our group has been getting bigger every year, we number close to twenty. Everyone always looks forward to this trip!!! You will love the staff at the resort as they are the friendliest bunch of guys around!! And you will catch fish I guarantee. Friends if you have to have internet and a phone and be constanly reminded of the hustle and bustle then maybe this isnt the right place, but if you like to get away where time means nothing and you can relax and enjoy family and friends then this is the place!

This was our second visit to the Norfork Trout Dock and Resort. I think that if you are a bunch of guys who want to fish and drink beer, this is the place for you. The fishing is great! Went with my husband, father-in-law, and 9 year old daughter. Even with a recent flood, they caught fish hand over fist. So if fishing is the only thing and you don't care too much about the accomodations this place would be great. I found it somewhat lacking since I wasn't out fishing all of the time and it was my job to make sure the boys were fed. Our unit had two bedrooms, two bathrooms, kitchen and living area with two more bedrooms upstairs that you pay extra for if you use. I found the kitchen sorely lacking, there wasn't even a bowl. The coffee pot was old, broken and did not work correctly. All of the pans were worn out nonstick with flakes peeling off in all of the food that I prepared. The living room had only a broken recliner and a futon/couch that was so uncomfortable that you could barely sit on it. The bedrooms had no lighting other than the overhead light. The only lamp in the place was a funky lamp in one bedroom that was placd so that it was of no use to anyone. With just a bit more care, it might have been a really nice place, and again - if all you want to do is fish and drink beer, none of this matters. I would suggest that they get a cheap bedside table or two, a couple of lamps, update someof the furniture and kitchen items. If this were done - I would go back in a heartbeat. As it stands, I will probably stay away.

Mike and his crew are always ready to take care of all your fishing needs. They offer lodging, boats, guides, etc. We have been coming here about 25 years. You have to come here to visit Leonard J. Russell, the canine CEO.
