Husband and I stayed here 4 nights in mid November 2020 and selected this based on other TripAdvisor comments and the great location near the Crater of Diamonds Park. We were delighted with our room, The Majestic! It was very spacious and included a desk with chair, a small dinette set with microwave and a dorm size fridge in one closet. It also has a small private balcony that you access from a door in your bathroom. It has steps that lead to the pool and hot tub area. You currently now get breakfast at the Inn, with a nice variety of quick items to choose from (various frozen breakfast biscuits, yogurts, fresh fruit, fruit in a cup, cereal, pop tarts, breads, bagels, bottled water, orange juice, and coffee to name what I recall) with self-service. The owners and hosts, Buddy and Karen Richardson are very cordial and responsive. They even supply loaner buckets, shovels, gloves, and the all important "diamond sifting" screens. Wonderful! The home overall is showing some age, with a bit of out dated decor, but it really did feel Just Like Home! We would recommend and stay here again, when in the area!…
It was easy to find, nice location, but we had to leave early, so instead of charging the whole amount, there was a additional charge on the bill for leaving early (on top of the full charge). I was very ok with the charged full price, but extra charge for leaving early, not so much. Also, I booked online, for the expensive room, but someone else had called in to book it, so they moved me to the cheaper room, but charged the same price. I was not as ok with this part of it (charged me extra for bringing my child). If I would have known that I would have spent the same amount, and found something nicer (that probably also gives a military discount).
What a nice setup they have here. A beautiful property, private drive, very comfortable rooms, along with a sitting area, as well as, a pool and hot tub. The hosts are very hospitable. There’s fresh baked cookies and coffee in the foyer. If I ever come this way again, I will definitely book this B&B again.
Some good and some not so good. Buddy and his wife were friendly and provided everything we needed. The location was good and our room was very spacious. The rugs in the bathroom were worn and did not appear to be clean. The lamp on the nightstand was plugged into a floor receptical by the side of the bed and was covered with a small rug. I almost tripped a couple of times. Breakfast was different from most B&Bs where I have stayed. I always enjoy the interaction with the other guests as well as the innkeepers. The food is usually very good too. Here you get to go to the Southern Dine and order from their menu. The Diamond Oaks is then invoiced for the meals. You do not have a lot of lodging choices in Murfreesboro, AR. This may be the best.
I research places to stay now, having had an unpleasant experience. THIS was far from unpleasant! Super friendly staff in the lovely Victorian home/Office. Rooms were clean, bright, clean new shower. Breakfast in the office, nice assortment, good rates. Definitely a go-back-to place!
