No refunds! From the owner when we discovered a very dirty greasy stained bedding with filth everywhere. Do not waste your time or money! The pictures on the web site are at least 20 years old. The cabin is a yard shed with a bed. Never cleaned. The wood porch is rotten and falling apart.

What a place! We were the 3rd couple to leave early in a day! In it's time, this would be paradise but it is in terrible shape, hot tubs were a disgusting mess and no water. We had hoped to spend some time kayaking and fishing, uh, no way! The inside of our cabin and dirty and in much need of repair. The teepees were moldy to say the least! A huge disappointment!

DON'T BOOK THIS PLACE!!! IT IS NOT WHAT IT SEEMS!!! My husband and I booked a tipi at Diamond John's to visit the diamond mine. It sounded quaint. It wasn't. We both know what roughing it is, and this is worse. I would rather sleep in a tent on a cot. They were flooded when it rained so much in the spring. I don't know what it looked like before then, but it is not like the pictures now. There are no signs to show you have arrived. You have to go to the lodge and wait for them to come out. The cabins looked ok - we didn't go in. The tipis were dirty on the outside, and the canvas was pulling up from the base. He brought us to our tipi, which had no deck and stairs because they were washed away. I tripped over a power cord while trying to get to the front of the tipi on the platform that was rickity. The door has 2x4s to make it stiff - he warned us not to hit ourselves with the wood! The outside of our tipi was nasty. The inside looked clean - maybe - but the lighting was so poor that you couldn't tell. The bed looked questionable at best. We told him we would be back after we found a place to eat. We didn't return - we booked a hotel in town. I did not expect fancy - I expected clean and safe. This was neither. His no refund policy means that we lost $95, but we didn't care at that point. This is the first time I have ever left a prepaid lodging without staying one night. Thank goodness we didn't pay for two!!!
