This is a very nice and very popular state park! We stayed in the woods view tent camping area. The bathrooms at this part of the park were crawling with spiders...with one GIGANTIC one we named Gertrude...However, the other bathhouses in the park were very very clean so we used those. The facilities are great here and the staff is... More

We happened to get here three days after they opened our campsite loop following a complete makeover. It was great to have a sewer connection, but what really made the place was the view. We were perched right above the water in site 44. The trails were great for strolling (okay, a little up and down through the woods, but... More

Very nice wooded campsites that offer a lot of space between each site. Our site, while not on the water, still offered a great view of the lake. The bathroom/shower facilities were excellent! We really enjoyed our 2 night stay at this campground and will be back. The camp hosts were very nice and the nightly rates were very affordable!... More

The campsites are large and spaced farther apart than other campgrounds we have visited. The RV sites are level and have a tent pad. The bath houses are clean and new. The staff at the visitor center were friendly and helpful. We stayed at site #1 and could easily walk through the woods via the amphitheater trail to the play... More

This state park has well thought out rv sites and I think this is the most beautiful place I have ever been. The hosts are every busy taking care of things and very helpful. We were in Area A site 7; the birds woke us up very morning. Pleasant and calming.

How beautiful. I don't think there is a bad site in the park. Well cared for. Immaculate, level, well spaced, full of amenities and nice touches. We woke up to the ducks and geese hooting and hollering. The view of the lake was great, just a very nice park.

We spent two nights at the walk in tent sites. It's such a beautiful location on a spit of land that extends into Lake Ouachita with beautiful hills surrounding the blue lake. The lake is so clear you can look down to the rocks on the bottom. The walk in tent sites have been created just for tent camping and... More

We stayed two nights here, tent camping with another couple. We shared a campsite. The campsites were sectioned off and each site had a grill, picnic table, and post! We had a campsite very close to the bathroom/shower which was nice!! However, the bathrooms were not clean at all and all four feet us found scorpions in the showers. The... More

For clarification, I am only rating the campground as it relates to RV and Trailer camping. No consideration is given for other aspects of a campground/park, such as swimming pools, clubhouses, or activities such as fishing or canoeing. Also, many campgrounds may have a variety of quality. My assessment is base on what I perceive as the best they have... More

We were delighted to arrive only days after the new refurbished campsites opened up. They now have sewer and 50amp. Our site was #45 and it was on a rise right above the lake. New level sites with gravel and plenty of room for our 35ft 5th wheel, truck, and tent. The park has several nice swimming beaches and a... More
