The staff was so helpful with our stay! It was cold when we were there and we needed extra wood ! They brought it immediately. We had a wonderful breakfast on Sunday, at the Lodge. The kitchen was fully equipped , so we cooked our other meals at the cabin. Thanks for a wonderful weekend!

All 6 of us totally enjoyed the stay at Mountain Harbor. And the staff were beyond outstanding. They went way overboard to be responsive to our simplest needs. For instance, we were having minor issues with the dish washer, not a big deal, well they came to the unit and changed out the dish washer. It took them maybe 30...

The room is clean and the staff is friendly. Overall, the rooms need updating, however. Also, the door to the outside would not close--I had to use the deadbolt and the chain to keep it closed. When I came back after being gone, the door was ajar. Nothing was taken, and I think it's just because the cleaning people couldn't...

My wife and I have stayed at Mountain Harbor Resort a number of times, and we always enjoy our stay. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the rooms are clean and nice, and the views are terrific. On one occasion, during the off-season, management provided a free upgrade from a single room to a very plush cabin.

We had a great time! Cabin was super nice and we ate at the restaurant all weekend and every meal was excellent. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We went on the eagle tour and the people at the marina were also friendly and helpful. Yes, we did buy t-shirts while at the marina :-)

Room was clean, loved the balcony, very quiet. Bed was very comfortable, beautiful view of the lake. Shower felt heavenly, well lit outside. Have stayed here before, and it is always a treat. Restaurant has great food.

We stayed the weekend during the winter. The 2-bedroom condo was perfect with a fireplace and hot tub on the deck. It was very private and quiet. We enjoyed the deer running through the woods during the late afternoon. We enjoyed coffee on the deck in the mornings as the ducks swam across the lake. Perfect weekend getaway!

I would definitely recoommend staying here. My regret is that I was not able to stay longer You get a lot of room for your buck here. They have many of those small items you will need which you may have forgotten to pack. If they don't, they will do their best to get it for you. They treat you...

Outside traffic noisy, paper thin walls (neighbors noisy), long wait for water to warm up for shower (then it cooled to lukewarm after a few minutes), but the room was clean and the office staff were nice.

Great place on spectacular lake, that has a variety of things to do. You can play horseshoes, cookout, fish, ski, great playground, etc. Too many things to list. The staff are exceptional in showing Arkansas hospitality. Really enjoyed and will definitely be back!

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Mountain Harbor Resort and Spa, with Lake Ouachita's premiere Arkansas cabins, has been proudly owned and operated by the Barnes family since 1955, when Hal Barnes found a beautiful harbor in the newly formed Lake Ouachita, just under the gentle sweep of Hickory Nut Mountain. His vision for his "mountain harbor" lives on under the ownership and management of his son, Bill Barnes, and his son, Chris, and daughter, Stephanie, who are both integral in the operations. Just a thirty minute drive west from Hot Springs, this premier Arkansas resort, offers Lake Ouachita's most luxurious cabins and cozy lake view guest rooms, an elite fleet of rental boats, services and fuel through Mountain Harbor's Marina, houseboat rentals, lake view dining at the Lodge Restaurant and three sparkling swimming pools. Weddings, group meetings and family reunions find exceptional staff and service in our lake side conference and wedding venues. You can access miles of hiking, biking, and wandering at Mountain Harbor Resort on the popular LOViT (Lake Ouachita Vista Trail). Nearby, Mount Ida, just 12 miles down the road boasts a friendly, small-town personality and is famed as the quartz crystal capitol of the world!Camp Ozark is also a short 21 miles away. Golf courses, museums, canoeing, Arkansas' only theme park, Magic Springs, the entire Tri-Lake's area, and a host of yearly events and activities are within an hour's drive.
