It was great and will definitely be returning. You must keep in mind that parts of the facility are over 50 years old but they have done a nice job updating and repairing. Such a peaceful place with many places to just get away and unwind.

I imagine that during the high season this place is pretty busy. I visited in March and it was nice and quite although many families on spring break. The restaurant is great, staff friendly, rooms clean and the property is lovely. I loved the quick access to the local trail heads as well as access to the lake.

The well appointed cabins are decorated and furnished so comfortably. The kitchens are ready for making snacks or a big meal with every convenience. The staff is friendly and committed to your enjoyable stay. The location takes great advantage of incredible natural settings and beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Spring and summer, there is every water sport or activity you can...

1st time visiting the resort and it was a great place. Our condo on the East end of resort was fantastic (80BPD), with lakeview, multilevel 4 bedrooms 21/2 bathrooms, superbly furnished homey feel. There did seem to be quite a few ladybugs in the lower level for some reason, but no biggie when in rural area. We enjoyed a good...

Our family of 5 stayed here for a few nights. Beautiful resort, friendly. We rented jet skies one day, which was easy and fun. Reserve ahead for canoes and kayaks; sorry we missed out on that. We also enjoyed the trail ride on horseback. Beautiful views. The restaurant was mediocre, so next time I would get a room with a...

The resort and restaurant are first rate facilities for relaxation. The food is fresh and well prepared with friendly service. You have all of the needed amenities for boating, swimming, day spa, and even horseback riding. Stunning views all around the resort.

I stay here when I visit the LOViT trail and surrounding areas like Womble and Ouachita National. The people are extremely friendly and do not stop trying to make your trip as comfortable as possible. Extremely well run and I have to believe it's because of the professional touch added by Mountain Harbor. I'm an avid mountain biker and if...

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, I know most people love going to the lake to ski and fish, but to be able to relax with friends in the off season was outstanding. The cabins are always clean and welcoming. The restaurant crew were outstanding as well and the food was wonderful. I highly recommend making this your destination.

Be prepare to be dazzled with friendship, quite, and no cares! Staff is great, used fishing guide to catch some nice fish, did n't want to come home! Chris Darby is one of the best fishing guides and the lake. Bill Barnes and his group are the best!

I travel a great deal for work and have stayed in all manner of lodging from basic/rustic accommodations to luxury, 5 star internationally renowned properties. Mountain Harbor is the place I go to relax, unwind, and spend quality time with those closest to me. We have stayed many times and every detail in the cabins is so very well thought...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Mountain Harbor Resort and Spa, with Lake Ouachita's premiere Arkansas cabins, has been proudly owned and operated by the Barnes family since 1955, when Hal Barnes found a beautiful harbor in the newly formed Lake Ouachita, just under the gentle sweep of Hickory Nut Mountain. His vision for his "mountain harbor" lives on under the ownership and management of his son, Bill Barnes, and his son, Chris, and daughter, Stephanie, who are both integral in the operations. Just a thirty minute drive west from Hot Springs, this premier Arkansas resort, offers Lake Ouachita's most luxurious cabins and cozy lake view guest rooms, an elite fleet of rental boats, services and fuel through Mountain Harbor's Marina, houseboat rentals, lake view dining at the Lodge Restaurant and three sparkling swimming pools. Weddings, group meetings and family reunions find exceptional staff and service in our lake side conference and wedding venues. You can access miles of hiking, biking, and wandering at Mountain Harbor Resort on the popular LOViT (Lake Ouachita Vista Trail). Nearby, Mount Ida, just 12 miles down the road boasts a friendly, small-town personality and is famed as the quartz crystal capitol of the world!Camp Ozark is also a short 21 miles away. Golf courses, museums, canoeing, Arkansas' only theme park, Magic Springs, the entire Tri-Lake's area, and a host of yearly events and activities are within an hour's drive.
