This is the perfect place for visitors to stay when visiting Puerto Williams. The Refugio El Padriono is very homely and the log fire keeps it cosy and warm on cold days. Every morning fresh bread, eggs, jams, coffee, tea etc was provided so we could cook ourselves a hearty breakfast. Best of all though was the warm hospitality from...

Cecilia, the owner, lets you feel just like at home. In the camping there is a house for all the guests which contain showers, toilets, kitchen, big living room, stereo system, guitar and even a drum set. There is a big yard that you can open your tant in. In the yard you can hang your wet clothing on a...

I spent 5 weeks at the Refugio El Padrino. That should say a lot. All the good things people say about Cecilia are true. She's the Real Deal. I plan on returning. Great people, great location, great price.

Refugio el Padrino is the best ! Cecilia is the godmother of all travellers. More a family welcoming than a hostel accomodation ! Best hostel experience ever. Highly reccomendable, if you are in Puerto Williams

Cecilia really acts like a mother, and it's seems like it's doing it mostly for fun. She exactly knows what travellers need and she treats everybody like a family member. She tries very hard to help every single backpacker to get out of Puerto Williams which can be difficult . Her great hospitality combined with wonderful Isla Navarino was the...

Cecilia the owner is amazing! If everyone in the world was like her it would be a much better place. She will do anything to help, she helped us get a last minute flight off the island and couldn't have done more to make our time in Puerto Williams brilliant. The Refugio is warm and comfortable and great for meeting...

Crazy lady but wonderful, Cecilia. She makes the word hospitality shine with a capital "H". The kind "policia" drove me all over town knocking on hostel doors and ended up visiting Cecilia at her home. Then they took me to the hostel. "I'll see you soon", she said. The hostel door was unlocked...and I felt a whiff of pleasant wood smoke....

I stepped of the Yaghan Ferry at 7:30am and waltzed over to the refugio and was greeted by Cecilia just arriving with fresh bread and breakfast items. I relax on the sofa and get to know all the travelers as they wake for breakfast and get a magnificent family atmosphere about this place. The refugio is all you need for...

a tiny kitchen/living area and 2 small dirty bathrooms for a crowd of maybe 25 people, if not more, as all tents are allowed ( and charged), dirty rooms and very very noisy as so small and so many people. The host Cecilia is nice, definetly a character but does have money as her main object. It could easily be...

I would like to give 10 stars for Cecilia, the mother of all backpackers in the world. She exactly knows what travellers need and she treats everybody like a family member. She tries very hard to help every single backpacker to get out of Puerto Williams which can be difficult due to bad weather and lack of transportation in this...
