This was the nicest hostel I have ever stayed in. The building itself is rather new and so the rooms and facilities are modern and clean. There’s a nice big kitchen, a comfortable lounging area, an outdoor area for asados or socializing, and even a few rock climbing runs behind the house. The property is just a few minutes walk out of town, but far enough away to drive home the fact that you’re truly in rural Chile. All if that’s great, but the best part of the hostel is definitely the people. The owners, Nate and Nancy, live next door in a little casita they built and they’re very involved with their guests and obviously big advocates of environmental stewardship. They’ve curated a team of people to work at the hostel who get to know the guests and help make sure they have the best possible time in Futaleufu. And they have the most adorable puppy! Altogether, staying here feels more like hanging out with friends and family than staying at a hostel.…
Just lovely. I am travelling alone so finding a place where you feel very comfortable and welcome is key. Hosted by friendly and warm people, clean, hospitable and very nice location. Also there are plenty of activities they can organise for you. Nathaniel - the owner - is a very good white water coach, so if you are into kayaking or learning to kayak in the beautiful rivers of Futaleufu, then you'll be in excellent hands.
Beautiful location and great vibe. The hosts Nate & Nancy will do everything possible to help you out and really make the stay enjoyable. Plenty of room to cook if you like cooking, with some of the best cooking utensils I’ve come across in a hostel. Can’t think of anything that would make the stay better. Fluent in Spanish & English. If you want help booking tours/activities they will happily phone the local companies to help organise. Also have plenty of recommendations of what to do in the local area if you want any tips. Stayed for 6 nights.
I booked like 2 nights at this beautiful slice of heaven and ended up staying a week! This hostel is everything that a tired backpacking soul can ask for :). The view is amazing, the people warm and the beds super comfy!! There's always hot water and great conversation freely available :). Loved every moment that I spent in Futa because of all the beauty that I was surrounded with :). Thanks again Nate and Nancy for everything :). You guys have an amazing hostel and I am super glad that I met you guys and the crazy crew :).
If you’re in Futa, stay at Las Natalias! The 10 minute walk out of town is DEFINITELY worth it! The owners, Nate and Nancy, are extremely friendly and kind. They go above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable, and although it is a hostel they add small touches like freshly cut flowers and homemade decorations. We stayed in a private double room with shared bathroom. Our room had an amazing view over the fields and the mountains in the back. Everything was very clean and cosy. The major selling point of the hostel is the kitchen/living room- it’s so cosy and everyone chills out there. On any afternoon people will be reading and cooking, with some nice music playing in the background. It’s not often that a hostel kitchen is cosier than any restaurant in town!
