Patagonia hostel is cozy and comfortable, but the most expensive hostel we've stayed anywhere in South America so far. Perhaps that's just the nature of Coyhaique. Room was clean, sometimes a bit noisy due to road. No kitchen, which was a shame, though they do leave hot water out to make drinks (though when we asked if we could have... More

We stopped by this hostel to see if they had availability, and even though it is by far the nicest and well kept hostel in town, the owner is the opposite of hospitable. The owner who showed us around must've been having a bad day as she was extremely unpleasant and seemed disinterested in having guests or business (even though... More

We came here in the afternoon because of a positive review in the Lonely Planet... It looked okay and we were welcomed by german owner. She told us that a dormitory bed costs CLP18000 per person... We first thought we didn't understand it well, so we asked again, but she confirmed the price. This is the most expensive price for... More

Great home made breakfast with whole grain bread, nice to eat after so many white bread. Beds are big and comfortable. Had a nice stay. The hostel had no kitchen.. it would have been nice to be able to cook here.. Rooms are a little bit expensive. Staff is oke

We stayed here during a frustrating time. We had fallen victim to the uncertainty of Patagonian Buses and so found ourselves trapped in Coyhaique. We free camped in the national reserve for two nights then headed down to Coyhaique and Patagonia Hostel. The German family who runs the hostel are fantastic!! They are very attentive and had great suggestions for... More

I have no idea how I missed this hostel while searching to stay in Coyhaique the first time - am glad I found it though. Breakfast was really nice. The people were helpful and friendly. Beds in the dorm were very comfortable. The only problem was that there was only one bathroom but it does not matter. The place is... More

This is one of the cleanest hostels in town. It isn't cheap but no where in town is... the rooms are warm and clean. Downside is the lack of kitchen. Sandra who owns and runs the place is kind enough. The wifi isn't great in the rooms. Only 1 bathroom though which is frustrating at peak times.

Myself and two friends really enjoyed our time at this hostel. It's really cosy, rooms are nice & the staff are very friendly. They offer a great laundry service & put breakfast out for us really early when we need to leave at 5am! The only complaint I have is the lack of bathrooms. Theres only one for 12 people... More

We were warmly welcomed into Patagonia Hostel, which is cosy, clean and quiet. They offered a great laundry service and also put breakfast out for us super early as we had a bus to catch at 4.30am. The bathroom is lovely, HOWEVER there is one bathroom between ~12 people which caused havoc in the morning. Also worth mentioning that the... More

This was just what I needed after a disappointing experience in another Chilean town and hostel. From the minute I entered, they knew my name, handed me the bus ticket I had asked for assistance buying & gave me advice on where to buy a gas canister for my campstovel I was sold on this place. The bathroom was beautiful,... More
