We stayed here twice on our trip around the Carrera austral. We loved this small hotel. It has a contemporary feel and us very stylish and comfortable. Great breakfast served until 10.30 am. Very friendly staff and one of our favourite places of our trip.
I was disappointed to find our room, which was quite spacious and nicely furnished, next to a busy, hence noisy, main road. The common room is quite cozy and the gardens beautiful. The breakfast is good and plentiful - pressed coffee, tea, a variety of fruits, granola, cereal, bread, yogurt. Parking is inconvenient as there is no parking on the street; however, they offer gated parking a block away.
Raices the building, staff, courtyard and common area are wonderful. What you don't know until you show up is that the wonderful facility is located on a buzzing 4-lane boulevard in an industrial area. We booked months in advance, only to be placed in one of the couple of rooms facing said causeway with major traffic noise instead of the rooms facing the quiet garden. The inn was full, so to say, so we were stuck with it. Also, because you're on a high-speed road, there's no parking. You do a several block circle to end up at a locked/gated lot one block away, drop your car, lock the gate and walk back. You do the same to retrive your car in the morning and return the gate key. Breakfast was plentiful, varied, eggs offered, and since the common room is up front, buzzing cars and trucks. …
Very comfortable rooms, simple and tasteful decor, beds were excellent, bathrooms lovely, breakfast was very good. A nice place to stay just out of the centre of town, everything is walking distance. The manager (can't remember her name) spoke very good English and was so helpful while we were trying to organise transport south, went above and beyond to help us out. Lovely common sitting area and beautiful garden area out the back.
We had a very good impression during our arrival at this B&B. The living room with a fire place looks cosy, the lady who received us was friendly and helpful and our room was spacious and beautifully furnished even the bathroom. It seemed the owner of this place paid attention to details, which was also reflected in the breakfast table. We enjoyed the food and the presentation even though we didn't have a good sleep as we got a room facing the main road which was extremely noisy. If I had a chance to go back to Coyhaique I would stay here again but ask for a room facing the courtyard to have a better sleep.
