We are stuck here because will lose so much money checking out early but just want to give some quick honest pictures so no one will be in our situation. We booked for 1 month and when we want to check out within 24 hrs after arrive they said they would charge us almost 400$. So many problem with the condo and we emailed management/front desk for 2 days with no response. More detailed reviews coming later.... But biggest issue is the ocean is unswimmable. It is full of seaweed and I already gave this place 3 days for the team to clean the seaweed. The ocean is still so dirty and very stinky. There is a big seaweed dumpster spot right to the left of the complex ocean site that smells horrendous every day. We walked 1 miles up north to other complex ocean side and there is much less seaweed and the smell is so much better now that its away from the dumpster. Please save your money for macao or la romana/bayahibe which are two beach sites we went to with beautiful, sea weed free ocean. Bavaro is just so bad now especially in this playa Turquesa complex. Please see my pictures below! This is already day 3 of cleaning which is not half as bad as when we first arrive.…
We stayed in January for the 3rd time and enjoyed every minute of it. The grounds are beautifully kept, the pools pristine and the condo (B302) was lovely with every amenity you could imagine. The property manager Liz Borges Cabrera looked after every detail and if we had needed anything, she was just a text or phone call away! Can't say enough about her. Toc, the restaurant on the beach is a perfect place to have drinks, listen to music and just relax while gazing at the beautiful ocean. Food is fabulous and the owner Jacobo and his staff make every visit memorable. They truly make each customer feel special. Within very short walking distance (2 to 10 min) are convenience stores, a pharmacy and several other great restaurants and bars. Among our favourites were Kats Corner, Don Pio, La Casa di Goss, and La Brujadora. Great food and super staff at all of them and all offered Happy Hour with half price drinks and/or 2 for one specials for lunch or dinner We can't wait to go back!…
My wife and I, along with her sister, booked 2 weeks in Turquesa A201, a very nice 2-bedroom 2-bathroom condo, right by one of the pools. A short walk to a very nice beach on the Atlantic. Parasailing on the beach. Several good restaurants in walking distance. Property manager (Volalto) was quick to make certain everything was good (for example brought wine glasses immediately after a call to say there was only one). As the title says, a good place to veg. Lots of tour companies close by if you want to venture away, but not cheap.
Comfortable and well designed condo. Kitchen missing sharp knives for lime cutting, steak eating or vegetable preparing. Happily I wasn't cooking on this trip but slicing a lime with a bread knife is just not doable. Bed was comfortable but heavy bedspread was a major turn off. No light comforters or blankets available so I had to use a beach towel and wrap up in very thin sheets to keep warm.
We stayed in I201 at Playa Turquesa for a week in mid-February. The unit is clean, roomy, and well equipped. The location is excellent with many shops and restaurants within easy walking distance. There were always chairs available on the beach and the location of TOC Beach Bar and Restaurant make this one of the prime beach locations in Punta Cana. The security personnel were polite and cheerful and security was outstanding. I would recommend Playa Turquesa to anyone.
