For the price this was a great resort. Be sure to upgrade to Privilege especially if you care about top shelf alcohol, private beach area, butler to make reservations and private breakfast area. The staff were all amazing…friendly and helpful. Big shout out to Milton…he will make sure you have everything you need. Food was “OK”…nothing amazing but not expected generally. The buffet didn’t have as many options as other Punta Cana all inclusive I’ve been too but had all of the staples like egg station, pasta station, waffles/pancakes, etc. The beach has been eroded from hurricanes (and because the resort is on a point) but you can still walk the long lovely beach and swimming is good. The entertainment was hit and miss and always best when there were 3 piece bands playing outside (or in main building if rain was imminent). Mikes Cafe is amazing…puts Starbucks to shame! Resort was very clean and pool area was well maintained. The housekeeping staff were very good as well. The staff who were in the Privilege Lounge were friendly and got to know you fast. Very accommodating. Be prepared for long waits at dinner or for any special request which is common in DR. I felt it was worth it.

This was our fourth time at Ocean Blue and again we had a great stay. Osvaldo our butler was fantastic. Our daughter had an issue with her room and he was able to get it resolved quickly. The Blue Team was fabulous! Pokemon, Espaquetti, Cherry and Chocolate kept us busy and entertained. Elvin our waiter at the Privilege breakfast was wonderful, especially with our grandson. Richard at the beach bar was great. By the second day he knew exactly what we wanted when we went up for a drink. Food was very good except at the Italian. Our grandkids ordered pasta and it was awful. Steakhouse was outstanding. Steak was perfectly cooked and delicious. Japanese was great. Although only certain restaurants are open each night we were able to try them all. Our younger grandson had fun at the Daisy Club, but older ones were disappointed that the teen club was closed. Overall another great stay. Can't wait to go back next year!

My 73-year-old mother and I made our second trip to Ocean Blue & Sand. We purchased the Prestige 25-year-membership last year and this experience surpassed our last trip in March 2022, which was also quite excellent. The hotel “butler,” Mayker, arranged all of our reservations and catered to our whims. Simon, our housekeeper, went above and beyond to ensure our suite was fully equipped and comfortable. Our housekeeper from March, Roberto, remembered us and ran to us across the courtyard like we were familia. Lolly made sure we started our days with good coffee, a breakfast and hugs. Jhon serenaded is at the Piano Bar each night and Javier remembered our cocktails. We enjoyed the accommodations and the ambiance, but the people truly make this place special, like a second home. We made new friends among travelers and learned some new tips. We’ll definitely be back.

My partner and I stayed for 9 days at this resort and it has been an enjoyable holiday. PROS: - quality and variety of food was good. We ate in the main buffet most nights and there were live cooking stations. The pasta and crepe station were both incredible. - The pools are very large, one was more of a party pool and the other was good for a relaxing swim. The swim up bar was useful and service there was always quick. - The room was spacious and housekeeping kept on top of it every day. Mini fridge stocked up daily with drinks (pepsi/pepsi light, 7up, water etc) which was good for taking to the pool area. - Mike’s coffee shop is worth a visit - unfortunately we only tried this a couple of times towards end of holiday but wish we tried sooner. The hot chocolate there was amazing. - Read some negative feedback about the beach beforehand however we both thought it was ok. There was a lot of seaweed however staff were out there clearing it as best as they could. CONS: - The shops are extortionate so make sure to bring your own snacks & necessities (packets of crisps/chips were $12 each or 2 for $15, cheapest suncream was $18, packet of ibuprofen tablets $15) - Buffet service was slow and felt understaffed. When busy, lucky to get more than one drink each. Staff that were working were often just standing around. - Restaurant food seemed very similar/identical to the buffet food and the best restaurants had extremely long wait times (sometimes a couple of hours or so) - We were told/had to sign a waiver which stated that there was an $150 fee if you lost the wristband. It is very securely fastened however this seemed a bit ridiculous. - Half way through the holiday, I discovered several bites on both my legs. Cannot say for certain but have read some reviews where people think there are bed bugs/dust mites. Overall had a pleasant stay at Ocean Blue & Sand, I would not read into the negatives too much as the resort met our expectations & we had a lovely holiday.

We really didn’t find much fault with this resort other than the beach itself is non-existent. There’s about 20 feet of it which was quite crowded at times with all kinds of folks walking the beach. Then there’s a bench which is very very crowded with chairs and shade/grass umbrellas with very little room in between. Everything else, rooms, reception, entertainment was all very good. The restaurants were so so, other than the buffet and the Japanese. The bartender (Manuel) over at the inner pool was absolutely phenomenal‼️ All the rest of the staff were very pleasant and helpful.

First off, let me begin by saying I have stayed at this same resort about eight years ago. My first experience at Ocean Blue was much different than my most recent. Unfortunately, things have gone downhill in a number of areas. Also, I have traveled and stayed at more all- inclusive resorts than the first time I came to this resort, so I have encountered what I would consider more five-star service and know what to expect even in other countries. One of the biggest downsides was the service. For some workers, it appeared they were too busy having side conversations and doing something else than willing to help the guest. For example, I was the only one waiting in line at the sandwich station; however, the girl continued to have multiple conversations with co-workers while I stood there for 5 min seeming like I was an inconvenience to her discussion. Things like that seemed to happen all week. Also, the coffee shop typically only had one worker; however, the lines were always crazy long. At the Italian restaurant, we sat for probably 10-15 min before a server even came to bring us water. I could go on and on with examples of problems with service. Room service was subpar. They did not refill our refrigerator with drinks daily, and never provided us with enough clean towels and no wash rags whatsoever. Also, the towel station was a joke. They never seemed to have clean beach/pool towels. The fact that you have to use cards to get them and couldn’t get fresh towels when needed is a huge inconvenience when you have young children that need dry towels often. The kids club was also a huge let down for us. We had two children ages 5 & 6. The club has very limited hours 9:45-12 and 3-5. The worker never seemed to be on time, and there were never any other children in there at all. Our kids enjoyed coloring and creating art projects, but overall, it was a letdown and we felt bad sending them because of the lack of children. Overall, we enjoyed our trip, but we had to overlook a lot of little things that make saying at an all-inclusive enjoyable service being one.
