They couldn't give us a refund or reschedule our days, after all, we paid for a week... Does anyone here know how much we needed a vacation, some rest?... How much we value the Iberostar brand, and it's not the first time we've returned to this hotel?...     We just stayed 10 days at Iberostar Punta Cana,we have been coming to the Resort for the past 20 years at Iberostar,the resort will never dissapoint you, As we walk in Johnny at the main bar remembers the specila drink that we like,also there Julio,Mc dougal, the other bar tenders at the beach and pool bar Olga,Jessy,Nairobi,Ramona, Jose, always macking your favorite drinks witha smile, Jose is the beverage and food manger at the Resort tall and slender always with a hand shake and a smile, at the main buffet look for Jose to serve you coffe with a smile every morning,Wensel will give you towels and a smile, when you take the sun at the pool or the beach look for Alexander to help you with the lounger or towels, the entertiment team will always have time to entertain you and your family, Ill start with Evelyn she makes things happen, also Roxana, Jazmin,Chocolate, Dario, they will be your friends for the whole stay, just to give you an idea how special Iberostar is, I have known the bar tender at the Beach bar Star Prestige Randy for over 15 years , he weill sign and make your drink at the same time, of course all this is possible with the professionalism, charm and graet attitud of the managers at the Resort specially Lewis Soler Room div manager who me and my family call friend!!!!...

    ...CONS Every day sales pressure to join their club (timeshare) and their 1 hour presentation turned into 3 hours. They gave us a dinner "gift" for sitting through their timeshare presentation and then made us pay for the dinner afterall 😡 Also, they have vendors come in to sell the same cheap jewelry from their gift shop but they sell it for 600% more claiming it's different/authentic... Their vendors don't let you walk anywhere without harassment to buy something... You have to eat the buffet otherwise which the buffet was a 4 out of 10... Not worth $2800 for 5 nights (2 people) We will go back to booking with Riu...

    ...Next day, the sea weeds weren't as bad and the staff at the hotel do a great job of trying to clean the beach with the tractors and by hand... No problem though we just got up early and put our towels on the chars around 7:00am... Towels were available all the time and the staff was very nice... Now instead of a plastic water bottle in your fridge, they give you each a big glass bottle and you can fill it yourself at different station that are all over the hotel premises and it's cold water... Beautiful Christmas decorations everywhere and the premises are extremely clean...

They couldn't give us a refund or reschedule our days, after all, we paid for a week... When we arrived on Monday, the man who introduced himself as the manager said, "You were a no-show, you didn't show up on Saturday, there's nothing I can do for you; it's a problem you have to resolve with Expedia."... The next day, the concierge Jean attended to us with class, listened to how frustrated and unhappy we were with the situation, and offered to help by speaking to his superiors... A couple of days before ending our stay, we finally received a very cold and rude answer from Expedia/Iberostar basically saying "the customer is already checked in the hotel... If they wish to extend their stay for 2 more days, have them consult the front desk as we cannot guarantee the same price"... When we disclosed the problems we were facing with the hotel, we heard the following answer : "Join the club and we will fix your problem".So, I ask myself: are we treated differently when we don't belong to the "Club"?... The world I come from, you first resolve your customer's problem, then you try to sell additional services... My rating is ZERO for customer service, empathy, problem resolution, not to mention our damp room, poor quality food, and mediocre entertainment...

    ...The best waitress was Maria "Drinky, Drinky" who took our drink orders at the pool everyday... The front desk wasn't overly helpful... We had 3 people celebrating birthdays and told them at least 3 times and they said they would send something to the rooms... One of our group fell at the pool and spent the day at the hospital and I hought they could have been a little more accommodating once we returned from the hospital... They offered her a free massage the day we were leaving... After being told repeatedly that they would bring us some diet coke, we found out it was not offered in individual containers for our room... Water dispensers were in the hallways on each floor, ours stopped working after the 1st couple days , reported it but it was never fixed... They have glass bottles in your room that you can fill... I've never been to an all inclusive I haven't enjoyed, some just provide better service... They could use some improvements in that area!...

    We just stayed 10 days at Iberostar Punta Cana,we have been coming to the Resort for the past 20 years at Iberostar,the resort will never dissapoint you, As we walk in Johnny at the main bar remembers the specila drink that we like,also there Julio,Mc dougal, the other bar tenders at the beach and pool bar Olga,Jessy,Nairobi,Ramona, Jose, always macking your favorite drinks witha smile, Jose is the beverage and food manger at the Resort tall and slender always with a hand shake and a smile, at the main buffet look for Jose to serve you coffe with a smile every morning,Wensel will give you towels and a smile, when you take the sun at the pool or the beach look for Alexander to help you with the lounger or towels, the entertiment team will always have time to entertain you and your family, Ill start with Evelyn she makes things happen, also Roxana, Jazmin,Chocolate, Dario, they will be your friends for the whole stay, just to give you an idea how special Iberostar is, I have known the bar tender at the Beach bar Star Prestige Randy for over 15 years , he weill sign and make your drink at the same time, of course all this is possible with the professionalism, charm and graet attitud of the managers at the Resort specially Lewis Soler Room div manager who me and my family call friend!!!! also Miss Rosario which I had the plesaure to speak with several times...

Jennifer and all of the staff (admin and catering) of the Star Prestige room were giving us lots of help with Spa and Restaurant bookings and a big thank you to Kenny and Randy (the "drinksmeister") for great service on the beach...

    ...Next day, the sea weeds weren't as bad and the staff at the hotel do a great job of trying to clean the beach with the tractors and by hand. Let me tell you they try to do a great job and out of most of the hotels on each side, ours was the best... No problem though we just got up early and put our towels on the chars around 7:00am... Towels were available all the time and the staff was very nice... Great omelets, bacon, french toast, hash browns, fruit that was out of this world, yogurt bar with small cut up fruits and cereal, all different types of cheeses, different types of bread, great coffee and juice and I was addicted to that tub of Nutella... And let me tell you, they had bowls everywhere of all different types of lettuce, which was amazing coming from a place where roman lettuce cost 10.00$ and looks like crap... Now instead of a plastic water bottle in your fridge, they give you each a big glass bottle and you can fill it yourself at different station that are all over the hotel premises and it's cold water...

For example, at breakfast, they would make a bunch of pancakes and then transfer them with their hands to the tray for guests instead of using a thong... They would only allow us to book at one restaurant one night at a time, and almost every night, they were booked... We had an issue there regarding a special order birthday cake that we had confirmed upon arrival, and they gave our cake to another party at that restaurant... They did bring us another cake so at least we had something...

    We stayed for 2.5 weeks and had a massage every day. It was so relaxing; the food was great and the attention by the Star Prestige team was phenomenal... So far, we have been impressed by the service, the activities, the food and if you just want to be left alone and enjoy your vacation pull up a lounge and soak up the sun...

    ...It was a 30 minutes drive from the airport and we stayed in the 2-bedroom suites on the Punta Cana side with "Star Prestige" accommodations. Check-in was seamless and we able to book 3 to 4 al carts dinners for our group of 11 with no issues... We had a welcome package when we arrived inside out room which was very nice then headed to the pool... The staff were friendly and most of them were bilingual and could speak English... The pools were clean and there were lots of beach chair availability... The Dominicana resort is dircely beside the Punta Cana so we had access to both hotels and their services... The buffets were not too crowded and had an abundant of food everyday with made to order stations at breakfast, lunch and dinners... We were provided with care pakcages in the mornings aka beverages and food to our rooms while the staff worked endlessly to clean up the grounds, pools, beaches and restaurants... Once the bars, the buffets and al carts re opened, the staff did their best to accommodate our needs... I had the most fabulous massage and highly recommend the spa/services... Empty Sanitizer throughout the resort All over we had a fabulous vacation and we will return again in the future...

The quality, variety and taste of the food was excellent; the suite I got was packed with high-quality items... Always attentive, smiling, and willing to help... There's a lot of security, golf carts passing by all the time and taking care of people...

    Resort was beautiful, food was overall excellent, huge variety to choose from, drinks were excellent and they did not water down the drinks. I believe the resort rooms are getting updated soon so nothing to say other than they need it... A/C worked great and beds were very comfortable and rooms were spacious... Maybe during renovations they will enlarge the bathrooms, they could easily take some space from the room to accommodate... This is a great all-inclusive resort for the budget conscious couple or family...

    I visited here on a day pass and had the most amazing time... It was the first place I had seen where there was no plastic at all, drinks came in glasses, straws were paper, and they had glass water bottles at the restaurants... The beach is beautiful and the pool and swim up bar was relaxing... They have volleyball and basketball in the water for families as well...

    I recently stayed at Iberostar Punta Cana with a day pass and it was an amazing experience!... They even have a coral lab on site where Greg, a new researcher, educates guests on their coral strategies for the future and what they are currently observing from each type of coral... The food and beverage options are outstanding, the buffet in general has a ton of great selections - the salad bar, grilling station, and Mexican bar are the best!... Their beach is a blue flagged beach and offers lots of places to relax in the shade or the sun!... Such great amenities and a well-operated all-inclusive resort...

    ...The pro: The weather and beach were perfect in January. The resort clears the seaweed daily, the water is warm, with just enough surf for average swimmers... Good wifi even at the beach... The tropical landscaping is stunning and immaculate (even with flamingos and turtles in the water alongside your brunch)... The coral lab on site is important and worth seeing... Poolside and beachside food and bars are convenient and good for the level you are paying for (this is one of four Iberostar resorts in one huge connected complex, with others at the higher end) The nighttime live dancing is a hoot, with high energy “animadores” (think of camp counselors for adults) getting everyone out on the floor for merengue, bachata and salsa... Excellent clay courts (just bring your own racquets and reserve ahead)... If you find the resort via Trip Advisor or other travel apps, you will see descriptions of four or five themed restaurants to choose from... The comfortable lounge chairs under thatch umbrellas are ideal, but you will be elbow to elbow, and you better like reggaeton... No one will turn down their Bluetooth speaker, why dampen the party?... Of course everyone is very friendly and you’re free to join in and meet people...

    I purchased a day pass to Iberostar Punta Cana and loved my visit. The property is beautiful and has all the amenities one could ask for... I spent my day on their beautiful beach, learned all about their sustainability, waste reduction, and coral reef restoration efforts all while enjoying delicious food and beverages... The staff was very friendly and willing to answer any questions my friends or I had... I would definitely recommend staying at this property for your next visit to the DR or getting a day pass...

    I visited here on a day pass and I had a wonderful time. My favorite things about the resort was the pool and beach as it really was as shown through the website's photos... The food and pool-bars were amazing along with their staff... They had a lot of areas to spend time with your families such as games, volleyball and basketball courses, and waterparks...

    I visited this resort with a group of students as part of a study abroad experience. We had a day pas for the resort which allowed us access to all restaurantes and amenities for the day... We had lunch at their buffet restaurant near the pool and it was very good... Lots of variety and everything was done incredibly well... Our group had dinner at the main buffet restaurant near the lobby, which had even more variety than lunch!... We also had the opportunity to visit the Coral Lab on site (super cool!)... We swam in the pool and the ocean for a bit, both of which were very enjoyable... I walked around the property later that evening and really enjoyed the atmosphere... The environment and ambience of the resort is very peaceful and relaxing while also feeling energetic...

    My friend and I decided to spend a week here for some r and r. We instantly felt relaxed as soon as we entered the resort. The lobby is open with a small pool with pillars that is very elegant... Staff were very friendly and invited us to grab lunch while we waited for our room to be ready... Our room was great and had a side view of the ocean and garden... It was spacious and everything was so clean and comfortable... Buffet meals were very good, with lots of options... Kids at the kids club seemed to really enjoy themselves with full activities... Adult activities were fun and there was always something to do... Filtered water is used for ice and cleaning vegetables so no issues there...

We had a huge room with a king size bed, actually we could fit 2 more full size beds in the room it was really very big, we stayed on the first floor in the beginning of our of the buildings, room 6002... On the back deck we overlooked a pond that had ducks and turkeys and all different types of birds, it was so nice...

Poolside is what you make it usual entertainment but the floor that used to be washed down very morning is now shrouded in shards of broke cement that likes to attack your feet, ( it’s been like that since we arrived and we’ve never seen it swept or hosed down once since we arrived 10 days ago...

The pool bar gets busy but due to our "Star Presitge" status, we had access to private bars inside the main lobby as well as on the beach with private Cabana and lounge... The Dominicana resort is dircely beside the Punta Cana so we had access to both hotels and their services... The buffets were not too crowded and had an abundant of food everyday with made to order stations at breakfast, lunch and dinners... We made sure to charge our phones and stock our fridges with drinks and food as we were confined to our rooms... We were provided with care pakcages in the mornings aka beverages and food to our rooms while the staff worked endlessly to clean up the grounds, pools, beaches and restaurants... Once the bars, the buffets and al carts re opened, the staff did their best to accommodate our needs... The following day the pools, beaches and most activities were back again and the weather was cooperative and where we spend most of our days... The children enjoyed the kids clubs and it had a huge indoor jungle gym as well a few arcade games external and VR... I had the most fabulous massage and highly recommend the spa/services... The nightly entertainment was enjoyable and kid friendly for most shows... The Casino was also fun but very smoky... We went to Disco 6 a few nights and it was spacious... The star Market has affordable shopping for all your needs, the Plaza Bavaro Shopping Centre and just down street headed towards the beach our street side shopping huts... Empty Sanitizer throughout the resort All over we had a fabulous vacation and we will return again in the future...

    ...We had a great ocean front room above the restaurant. Room was just like all Iberostar’s but this one had three beds!... We arrived very early after flying overnight and they allowed us to check in and go start to the room at about 7am... Loved the French Restaurant and the Japanese one too... Loved the ride on the Catamran and hangout out on the beach...

I was very disappointed with the resort. The rooms needed updating, our shower and air conditioning did not work. We had to have them fixed. The shower they never did fix, it continued to leak. We had large bugs in our room so we had to have them spray. The food was not as good as previous stays at Iberostars in Mexico. You had to ask multiple times to get service, part of the issue was language and new staff. The staff for the most part were very friendly and polite. The entertainment was terrible - it was too loud and you had to sit through annoying children's programs before the adult programs. The singers were off key, loud and again annoying. My wife found everything very average, but I have been in the service industry for 50 years so I have higher expectations!

Iberostar Punta Canta like many resorts on this site get either great reviews or absolutely terrible reviews. Just to warn you this will be a great review. I think a lot of the feedback that people give is really based on their experience of traveling abroad. Those with who are vacation for the first time out of the country may be taken back by some language barriers, tastes in food and other cultural differences. Having said that here is my review from a seasoned traveler to the Carribean (+20 years) as well as international for my work. FOOD: The resort relies greatly on buffets to supplement their sit-down reservation restaurants. The buffets here are very leaning towards Dominican and Latin AMerican style foods. I found this to be the same at other resorts that I have stayed at in the DR. So don't expect USA leaning food options. Be open minded and remember you are in a different country with different culinary styles. That is what makes traveling abroad so exciting. But if you must have 100% American style food keep in mind that you will not get that there from the Buffet options. - Breakfast: This is buffet style with two main areas. Each with 2 stations making omelets and fresh to order eggs. They have a wide variety cold cuts, breads, fruits, and other breakfast fair. Breakfast is similar to what we have had at other resorts in the DR and in the Caribbean. This is also the most versatile in terms of US style food. As at other resorts this is always sure bet of getting a good meal. - French Restaurant: Was fantastic. I can't add any more. There were 6 of us ranging from 14 through 53 all found this to be the best on the resort. - Mexican Restaurant: This was on par to what you would find at a more authentic local Mexican restaurant at home. So don't think of chain Mexican but more authentic with a bit of a Dominican twist. This was also excellent. - Star Restaurant (American Style) - Did not bring me back to what I would expect from home but ok. I had the steak fajitas which were good. Better that I could make at home myself and I like to cook. Just to give some perspective. - Smoke House (BBQ) - they serve family style BBQ. Not like you would find in Texas or in the Carolinas but really, its own style. My family all enjoyed it. - Chinese Restaurant - Bear in mind this is a hybrid restaurant. Your order your main course and all appetizers are a buffet. Honestly, we could have just had the buffet which consisted of sushi, miso soup, some marinated meats, noodles etc. All our main dishes were very good. This was honestly a surprise having really good Chinese in the DR as there was no DR spin to the taste or style of cooking. This restaurant was my biggest surprise. ROOM and HOUSE KEEPING: We were in rooms 5096 and 5096. The was not that old. Needed updating which is coming but more than adequate. The AC worked great in booth rooms, but the shining star was housekeeping. Our housekeeper was probably the best I have had in many years. She blew the house keeping service at the Hard Rock away. Fridge always restocked, new towels always there and room always done before 3 PM which is the time I would head up to cool down. PLEASE MANAGMENT I don't know her name, but we stayed August 3 - August 10 please commend her for being awesome. BARS: My family tips but that did not seem to affect the service levels of others who did not tip. We had no issue with service levels at the bar. The staff at the lobby bar was great and always attentive. OVERALL SERVICE: Like any establishment it varies. We had one server for breakfast the first few days that we were awesome. But we had some that were not the same level and we tipped accordingly. LANGUAGE BARRIER: Guess what they speak Spanish here in a Spanish speaking country! To complain that not all servers and workers don't speak English is bit well...just go to Orlando then. Try to speak some Spanish - try ordering in Spanish - your drinks, your meals, saying hello. It not only goes a long way but helps immerse yourself with taking a vacation outside of the USA. POOL: All reviews are true it is like bath water. Perhaps a few water features that mixed in some colder water would be a good idea. But it did not keep my family or others from enjoying it. TEMPATURE: It is hot in the lobbies, and it is hot in the DR this time of year which is the cause. Bigger ceiling fans like in the check in area of the airport would make sense just to get the air moving. CONCLUSION: I would stay as well as my family at this resort again. In many ways we found it to be a bit better for than the Hard Rock. Not in comparison to the Hard Rocks facilities or other cool features. Just that we felt more like we were vacationing in the actual DR. Everything felt more authentic. Again, we all have different experiences, tastes, and expectations when we travel this review was just a result of mine.

We went to Iberostar Punta Cana in early October 2023. Everything in the resort was great although we didn’t get much time to enjoy it due to my son’s sudden illness. The management team was so amazing and caring. When my son suffered from his illness, Resort Director Natalia as well as Geisa and Noemi came to the scene immediately and helped arrange medical care and send my son the the hospital. Particularly, Noemi accompanied us to the hospital and had food delivered to the hospital from the resort. They also provided transportation to take us back to the resort afterwards. I strongly recommend you this resort with the greatest team to serve you for your enjoyment and safety. Thank you Iberostar Punta Cana! I'm a little late writing this review. We went to IberostarPunta Cana, we have previously stayed at the Iberostar Costa Dorada for our honeymoon and it was a really great holiday/honeymoon,fanastic from start to finish. Unfortunately we were sadly disappointed with the experience at the IPC, from our checking in , which we had to ask for a drink , and even though we had booked an ocean view room, to be told we had to stay in another room until the next day and sleep in separate bed, when we asked why, no sorry your room isn't available so you will have to move tomorrow at 3pm? We were too tired to argue and didn't want to spoil the start of the holiday anymore. The room we were allocated was OK, but it wasn't the start we wanted. The complex is huge and never felt crowded. We went to the main restaurant and there was a large choice of starters, hot food, salads and desserts, ( I'm afaid we have to agree with some of the other reviews, the food wasn't hot enough, barely lukewarm, only stations that cooked it in front of you?). We thought it was just the first day, but it continued thru out the holiday, we were asked to attend the front desk to book our speciality restaurants, this turned into trying to get us to attend a timeshare meeting, it wasn't what we wanted and they wouldn't take no for an answer, even saying the young lady would get into trouble if we didn't attend? We did book the american,mexican and La Cana. The first two were nice, and the food was at least hot. I booked the La Cana for my birthday as I like seafood, this was the biggest joke of all, we were shown to our table and given a card to scan the QR code for the menu which we did and when the waiter came to take our order, we were told you can't order anything off the menu, on asking why, just told you can't and then we were served a platter of meat and fries, which wasn't fish! The whole reason was to have seafood, no other explanation from the staff. I did also find a lot of staff didn't speak much or any english, considering I speak some spanish, but not fluent, I can see how some people have struggled, but I do seriously question whoever is in charge of how the service is given, needs to be retrained . We felt there was no service unless you were a regular visitor or spoke spanish? When we were at the other Iberostar, the level of service was excellent. Maybe the service manager should take tips from there. The pools were huge and no problem with find a sun lounger, same with the beach, which did have traders , but a firm no and they moved on, the grounds were immaculate and ground staff were working hard, considering some guests left empty plates and glass everywhere? We moved to our ocean view room the next day and was a good room. Our cleaner kept the room spotless and did towel art on the bed on my birthday, a really nice lady . There are plenty of bars and restaurants dotted around the complex. Different singers on some nights didn't really sit and listen to for long. We thought the resort was quiet at night , which we liked, not ideal for everyone. Overall, it was a break for us. At a time, we really needed one, and we had to make the best of an average holiday experience.

We truly enjoyed our stay at Iberostar. The grounds are well kept and the beach location is beautiful. However, the experience wouldn’t have been the same without the friendly staff. Our concierge, Rafael, was the kindest, most delightful and diligent person ever! He came to be viewed as not only a friend but also family. There were to many wonderful employees to name, but all were so warm and welcoming. It’s a nice getaway and you will enjoy your stay if you choose to come. The diving is decent too!

Nothing was as shown in the pictures of the hotel at the booking sites. The hotel is old with only the bathroom redone. The meals are reasonable for an all-inclusive hotel and the French and Asian restaurants are the best in the resort. The sea unfortunately no longer has any of the blue-green color of the advertisements. It's a dark greenish-brown sea, full of sargassum, which also gives off a foul odor both in the water and on the beach. A tractor spends all day trying to clear the sand from the dead sargasso, but it can't do the job. And swimming among the sargassum is also very unpleasant because, as well as being a nuisance, it harbors the famous sea flea, which stings bathers in a very painful way. Not to mention the scare you get when you're stung. Nature is responsible here, but the misleading advertising with beautiful photos of the beach makes you buy a pig in a poke. What struck us most was the absolute lack of hygiene in the hotel, with the exception of our room and some public areas. In the buffet restaurants, the people replenishing the food at both breakfast and dinner WERE NOT WEARING GLOVES TO PICK UP THE FOOD. Breads, pizzas, pancakes, etc. were put back without the slightest hygiene. The lady serving breakfast in Espaniola restaurant, threw the pancakes on the tray with her hand as if she was angry with the food and the customers. I'd never seen anything like it. A horror. At a dinner party, I went to get a fried banana snack and when I asked the staff for a grabber, I was told "take it with your hand". I complained about this using the QR code that was everywhere, asking us to rate the hotel, but I never received a reply or saw anything change in the 11 days we stayed there. I must say that 40% of the staff was very unfriendly to say the least, what was really unexpected from us. Another disgusting place is the swimming pools. They were cleaned only once in those 11 days. All the other days you couldn't see your feet in the water because it was so murky. In addition, something very oily floated in the water every day, making stains more than a meter long, as I show in the attached photo. It was scary to go into the water and come out with a serious skin disease. I'VE NEVER SEEN POOLS AS DIRTY AS THESE. How can a so-called 4* hotel allow this???? It's far from it! The noise in the hotel was unbearable. It's customary in all-inclusives for the pool bars where the drinks are prepared to play relatively loud music. That's fine, just sit away. But at this hotel guests were using SOUNDBOXES (PORTABLE SPEAKERS) EVERYWHERE without any interference from the staff. One day in the blue swimming pool we were surrounded by 6 (PORTABLE SPEAKERS) SOUNDBOXES which, when added to the bar, resulted in 7 DEAFENING MUSIC PLAYING AT THE SAME TIME. It was maddening. How can you rest in a place like this? IMPOSSIBLE. You're bound to get a headache. Finally, there is no area reserved for smokers, as in any civilized place, who are spread out everywhere from the pool to the beach and all the bars. It's impossible to find a place and be free of other people's cigarette or cigar smoke. You'll also see cigarette butts on the ground and in the sand everywhere. In other words, if you're looking for relaxation on a beautiful beach in a comfortable, quiet hotel and you don't smoke, go somewhere else because it's impossible here. The facilities are a maximum of 3 stars and the maintenance, tranquillity and food service are those of a 1* bus station hotel. To be honest, I would like to praise the staff who were so polite and efficient during our stay: housekeeper Fidelia and Yoel from Pagoda restaurant.

Our daughter chose this location for the beautiful color of the sea. Iberostar was great with our daughter's food allergies. Alex and the head chef made sure she had plenty to eat. (She even gained weight!) The staff was great, epecially Yenice Ogando who greeted us with a smile every morning for breakfast. We absolutely loved visiting Coral Lab. Greg's passion for his work was contagious! We even got to see him feed coral that was growing in the lab! There was seaweed, but every morning, the staff carted off two truckloads. There was no odor at the beach.

This is the second time i have stayed at an Iberostar hotel. This one is more compact then the other one which is really nice, not alot of walking. Had a junior suite which was very spacias. The food is very good at the main buffet, HAMLET arranged a little bithday party with the staff using drums and a little cake with a candle. Maynel turned 6 years old and was thrilled. Hamlet continued to take care of us everyday and was just outstanding every time we dined. All of the staff were just great, always smiles and perfect greetings. Nelsa at the lobby bar was just wonderful. everyone at the beach bar were also nice and Maria who served the personal drinks at the pool was fantastic, she was such a pleasure. Our maid Francesca made sure our room was always clean and fresh towels were wating for us everyday. Also in the main buffet was Rafael and the genteman who always served the bottle drinks, Our kids loved going to the kids hangout where everyone took care of them, even had a kids disco night,,they loved it. I must say this was a Fantastic resort, we all enjoyed so much and we will be returning in November. Thank you IBEROSTAR PUNTA CANA,,,,,Lance, Nelson, Gracenel and Maynel.

My daughter and grandkids visit Iberostar resorts yearly as we have a membership, which we enjoy. This was our first visit to the Dominican Republic, and we enjoyed ourselves greatly. The Iberostar Punta Cana is a really lovely resort, with plenty to see and do. and is all inclusive, so all food and alcohol is included. The two pools were fun to hang out in, and there was plenty of shade for those needing a break from the sun. The beach is beautiful, although this time of year, there was a lot of seaweed in the water (although not so much on the beach itself). The day that we left, there was literally no seaweed in the water, so some of it is just luck, I guess! The grounds are beautiful and staff is always out working to keep it so. Beautiful gardens, trees and water features were everywhere. We fell in love with some of the wildlife we saw (LOTS of turtles, ducks and Moorhens, which we called chicken ducks since they look kinda like chickens with chicken feet, but swim like ducks). Our room itself was plenty big, although a bit dated (they will be closing to renovate coming up soon). However, it was very clean and housekeeping did an excellent job. The buffets were excellent, although not everything was well marked, which made it more difficult for me as I'm a pescatarian. There was a good variety of foods offered and almost everything we had was good. The ala carte restaurants on site were also very good. We didn't use the fitness center, although we did walk through it; it was very nice! We did use the spa, and it was lovely. Massage therapists there were good overall, and there were a variety of water features within the wet areas. Staff throughout the resort was friendly and helpful. The ONLY negative we encountered was that the toilet in our room stopped working on a daily basis; each day we were there (until the day before we left), we had to call maintenance to fix the toilet so that it would flush. However, they came out immediately and took care of the matter. Overall, we had a great family trip, and I don't think you could go wrong vacationing here!

The resort is not bad, it's some people there that spoiled my vacation especially when you save all year, I found that DARIO was very touchy and flirtatious with the female guests which is inappropriate, a few times we had to leave certain areas to avoid him and found it uneasy throughout the day. I know they are trying to make the guests engage in activities when you have people like DARIO working there it's not acceptable that you are watching your back! The rest of the team were not like him they were very professional and friendly. I have stayed at the hotels in Punta Cana and have never been treated like we was by one individual. Management need to give employees proper training before dealing with guests.
