...Check In and hotel room: Check in was not the fastest but they did accommodate our request and having a bar right in the lobby helped with arrival. Reception staff was nice but slow and I don't think it's their fault but rather their process to check people in ( needs improvement) The rooms are nice enough but as other reviews have pointed out, do need some updating and ventilation updating... ...So having to chase for rooms to be cleaned, towels for the room, and being told they are out of some basics like ketchup in the buffet restaurants.. Not having spoons for yoghurts and running out of certain drinks isn’t great.. What’s tops it off if the influx of local guests from Friday to Sunday who create huge queues, take large quantities of food away with them and then we get sub standard service as they have “ran out” of drinks and rolls and we even have a lower standard of service for the days when the place isn’t overrun with extra guests… I’ve no issue with the locals making use of the facilities if they are paying etc.. but why do standards change leading up to and after they have left (and it’s not an improvement) Stayed at the Splash side and we have to pay for the Japanese and Steak house (I wouldn’t pay for the steak house as no one had said it’s worth paying for)...

Our flight was cancelled due to the weather so we had to get another room, the staff were very unhelpful saying it was our travel reps responsibility to reserve a room and wouldn’t check us back in without a reservation number so I ended up paying myself and claiming it back which really shouldn’t have happened... Staying in splash and we have payed 90$ to eat in the steak house at pc side... I had to pay for the steak house before prior to my booking which I thought was abit strange... Why pay for something that you haven’t got but hey just presumed it’s their policy with not actually staying in the pc hotel side... Another manager came called Kelly (god knows how many managers there are here) he then told me I can’t get a refund because I’ve already payed so then I asked him why charge then before the meal... Do not waste your time and pay for any of the restaurants if not included... Done 2 half days trips one boat and one monkey island total 600$ I would defo go to a different hotel and wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone...

We got a great deal on this resort so we were not expecting 5 star service... We also had massages the same day before the hydrotherapy, but wait for the ladies to come around the pool, the price dropped from $135 to $90 pp for 50 minute swedish massage... However, you need reservations, or you show up when they open at 6am or after about 830pm... So if you are a couple without kids, and don't want to be around kids, this is not the resort for you... I wouldn’t have booked this trip if I had foreseen what it would be like... The excursion we paid for was horrible.. the “grotto” we booked was a man made hole in a market that they ship you off to and surround you with vendors to over charge you on beaded bracelets, they tell you it’s to pay for the village but based on the prices and the amount of ppl we were there with, they should have a school built and nice houses because without counting in the money spent on vendors the tour had made around 10,000$ US doing simple math based on what we paid... All around a disappointing vacation and I wouldn’t suggest anyone go for the money spent...

...But if you're an adult looking to have some drinks and enjoy yourself at night, you'll be very disappointed... They have arcade games in the sportsbar which looked like fun, but they were all pay-to-play... felt wrong to have that at an inclusive resort... Apparently there was a government program during COVID that subsidizes the resort for dominican locals during the weekend, and this program should absolutely not be there anymore... Overall – Fine time, disappointed as a young adult, but you'll probably have a great time if you go with a younger family...

The main issue we had was hygiene and cleanness. There was either no soap in the washrooms in the resort or so watery that was not cleaning hands... Worst thing is that the staff use the same washrooms and no soap no clean hands, in the buffet and the rest of the resort... There was no napkin in the buffet and couple of times that I asked the staff brought me toilet papers!...

...We only used it once due to timing, but it was very nice. We also had massages the same day before the hydrotherapy, but wait for the ladies to come around the pool, the price dropped from $135 to $90 pp for 50 minute swedish massage... However, you need reservations, or you show up when they open at 6am or after about 830pm... Your butler when DC can assist you with this, but our butler only got us reservations after 9pm, which was very late... Jenny was our server and she did an amazing job... She always made sure we were happy about our food and if we needed anything else... She also went out of her way to find someone to make us Palomas (grapefruit and tequila drink)...

...There are always little things to critique here and there but what makes your stay a memorable experience are the smiles of the kind staff there. A very special shout out to Colombia in the coffee shop (Beans Bar)... She is the sweetest and kindest person and everytime we went to get coffee or milk for my baby we had such a good time... Also, a bunch of staff at the restaurants were so friendly, would always take care of us and our requests and even come say hi to our baby and make him laugh... The worst experience was at the Grazie Trattoria restaurant... After waiting for over an hour and a half, when we finally got in and sat down, the kitchen decided to shut down half way through our meal... Overall, I would definitely go again especially to see the lovely staff again...

Our family would chat to him each day for a while as he was such a nice person and helped us when needed... Room service takes well over an hour each time... ...There was also clear preference towards the locals from the resort workers which made it harder to get drinks/food and also made my family and I feel excluded... Aside from Juana at the main buffet, most of the female staff/bartenders were very standoffish and had worse service overall (a trend observed by my whole family)... One thing I thought strange was that they were looking for feedback all over the place– They had more senior staff coming up to you and asking how things were, if everything was to your liking, etc...

...A lot (not all) of staff are very casual in their approach to service. Every meal time we encountered cutlery missing, cups missing, spoons missing from buffet, delays in drinks or drinks missed and no real desire to provide an efficient service... Staff seem more keen on clearing empty plates as opposed to serving those currently eating or drinking... Similar to other reviews, mini bar wasn’t stocked unless we asked (we aren’t big drinkers, we only wanted water !)... and there was a definite preference to serve locals ahead of international visitors when around the pool... ...So having to chase for rooms to be cleaned, towels for the room, and being told they are out of some basics like ketchup in the buffet restaurants.. The final and probably biggest gripe is the 2 standards that you see during the weekend and outside of it for pool side food and drinks… at the weekend.. fairly big queues but also choice is wider with salads and nachos… after the weekend.. left over rolls, no salad, no nachos, sometimes only burger or sausages.. never both.. and they seem to ration things like sparkling wine which never happens at the weekend...

The service is absolutely horrible which started at check in ( may I add there was almost a physical altercation between staff and a customer in the hotel lobby while we were checking in)... ...At that time we were introduced to the most amazing staff and that is the reason we returned to this particular resort in October. Our butler, Jonathan Melo, made sure that we had everything that we needed... By the end of that first trip, he felt more like family than he did an employee at the resort... Odil and Francesca in the Diamond Club ensured that our check-in was smooth, that we always had a drink in hand, and always greeted us with a smile... Toward the end of our trip we met Martin who made sure that our luggage (and us) got on the right transportation for our reluctant return to the airport... Jesus at the Diamond Club pull saved our seats each morning, knew what drinks we wanted and brought them to us, and always brought us burgers and hot dogs for lunch... The staff at the splash park are equally amazing and ensure that your family is safe while being in the wave pool, going down the slides, or even just walking through the area...

...With the Diamond club experience, you have your own hotel contact who you could message anytime with issues or just to get things done... Buffets were decent (we really love getting room service a few times and ordering burgers and fries at the pool or beach for lunches)... Grounds were well kept, the beach was great, and we loved going to the Diamond club pool on the splash side because there were always chairs available with towels, and we found the best service was there too... ...All the employees were willing to help, provide you with good service from the trunk, the reception, the restaurants etc. The room was comfortable and clean and the air conditioning in perfect condition... The pools, towel service, theme restaurants (you can go without reservations) were good... It is a small square where they play music and make a disco as a child but in general I saw that most of us preferred the older sister hotel called "Royalton Punta Cana" where there is much more movement, activities and bars and you can get there by taking a small train or walking... The hotel staff were friendly at all times and the splash park went down a treat with the boys (12&13 years old)... Being able to use the other hotel was such a plus especially as that’s where the some of the best restaurants were (Hunters was a particular favourite)... To be fair to this hotel, my main issues are TUI advertising this as a Platinum hotel and services available - when the reality is very different!... Out TUI rep the following day clarified we could not use pool and restaurants in adjoining sister hotel Royalton Punta Cana... We looked into upgrading to Diamond Club but it was $45 per person per day, a significant increase in holiday cost as we were staying 3 weeks - so no thank you!... Rooms were modern and spacious, maid cleaned to high standard... There was hair dryer, small safe and iron... Mini bar was not replenished daily, but you could call reception to get additional drinks... The TV has full itinerary for activities, details of restaurants and room service... The Bella Cucina restaurant was lovely and staff made sure you had a wonderful experience... All staff were friendly and helpful, a special mention for Puver and Pamela who make amazing cocktails, and work tirelessly to run the bar...

...I stayed at the royalton splash which is very important to know because the royalton hotel (and all the fun stuff such as swim up bars and casino's etc with the exception of the water park is on the other side of the resort. The royalton splash resort is a place if you just want to relax and chill... I ventured off to the royalton part of the resort which was more fun... ...Resort was nice, food was nice, facilities were nice and the resort staff were great but if you want to enjoy the a la carte restaurants and extra facilities at the Royalton Punta Cana then upgrade to the Diamond Club... The room was nice however the whirlpool bath was a bit pointless as it took an age to fill enough to use the jets but I be suppose you can live without a bath unless you have endured a Hurricane and want to bathe properly after wading through floods for 2 days... So if you want a relaxing break then Yes Splash is nice but book into Royalton Punta Cana instead as the locals can’t use most of it...

The resort was very nice, with lots of pools to choose from. Bars were well stocked with many options of premium spirits. Every bartender and server we talked to was full of energy and put a smile on our faces. The beach was extremely clean, compared to other beaches in the vicinity. We found the food was overall decent, nothing over the top but it wasn’t bad either. For a late night snack, the sports bar was open until 2am and the chicken wings were 10/10. Edwin our butler was very personable, attentive and made sure our requests were accommodated for in a timely fashion. He also gave us lots of advice and recommendations on things to do. He was also on top of the dinner reservations and made sure we always got a later dinner as requested. 10/10 butler service, he always responded either right away or within a few minutes. We were Diamond Club and the perks I believe were well worth the extra money. Only real complaints would be the wait time for the tram and the check in procedure. For the tram there is only one running at a time so depending on the location of where it is you could be waiting 5 minutes or 30 minutes. Check in was brutal, we waited an hour and a half since there was only 1 person working, and by the time we arrived the bar in the lobby was closed. Everything closes at 11 except for the sports bar, it would have been nice to have more late night options to get a drink. We also had a Bluetooth speaker stolen off our patio within 10 minutes of going inside, someone would have had to climb through hedges to get it but I guess that was our fault for leaving it out.

My boyfriend, my 3yo and myself traveled and stay at Royalton Splash for 1 week at the end of November 2023. HOTEL: It is the STAY AT 1 PLAY AT 2 policies meaning if you stay at Royalton Splash you also have access to the Royalton Punta Cana next to it or vice versa. We wanted a 1 bedroom family room (1 main bedroom with king sized bed & hot tube + a connected bedroom with 1 sofa bed and another bathroom. They had a rolled bed too for our toddler) so we stayed in the Royalton Splash where you get to the waterpark. The room was amazing, clean, spacious with a mini fridge. To get to one or another hotel, you have option 1 (walk 5 min) or option 2 (wait for a shuttle to pick you and drive you there) Be prepared to walk a lot as both hotels are BIG POOLS you have plenty of pools in both hotels, but often, not enough shade unfortunately. Bring lot of sunscreen! BARS: there are so many bars it's insane! You won't wait more than 5 minutes to get served too. On the down side, the liquor seems diluted in water. Like no kidding. Champagne is sweet at 5%. White wine was sweet too. FOOD: you have several restaurants a LA carte. I strongly recommend the steakhouse I was truly impressed by their filet mignon The buffet marché Gourmet is the best of the 2 The food was delicious. Plenty of choice! DIAMOND UPGRADE A MUST DO! SERIOUSLY Those 2 restaurants I just mentionned are exclusive to the 💎 Also, you get a private section on the beach, free room service, food/drinks at the 💎 lobby, exclusive pools, better bedrooms.. And most importantly, you get a butler that makes all your restaurants reservations for you and stay connected with you (in our case via what'sapp) trough your stay. Any request you have, he will be there to assist you EDWIN was our butler. He had won many years in a row the title of best butler as he should. He is the reason why we would go back to the Royalton and I would ABSOLUTELY request him to be my butler again. If you the💎package, request for him. You won't regret it BEACH; beautiful blue and white sand. Waves can be strong for toddler.. Note that towels are easy to find/drop everywhere and do not request a special card to exchange for your towel. KIDS CLUB was a huge let down. I was expecting a bigger, funnier, with more games and inside playground such as you get at the Sandos Caracol in Mexico. The staff there didn't supervised much or interacted with the kids. My toddler didn't want me to leave him there and honestly, you can't leave bigger kids more than 30 min long or they'll get bored SOCIAL Is a place with few arcades games.. It was just alright 8/10 hotel A bit big, but EDWIN and the 💎UPGRADE made our stay MEMORABLE! Unfortunately, the kids club was such a let down we couldn't have alone time me and my bf as opposed as at the Caracol where we could leave him 3 hours in their kids club and even hired nannies there.

1st time at this resort. Overall perfect for a family. Splash was ezxellent, needs a little bit of love but it doesn't matter, your kids and yourself will have a lot of fun. Rooms are decent but will be good of there's an extra lock at the main door for safety. Easy for a child to open and run away. But once again, these are little details. It didn't ruined my vacation. We booked the Diamond Club... we had Edwin as a butler, very sweet and very professional. You need something, he will find a way to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. Thank you for your service Edwin. Restaurant a la carte are ok but The Italian one and their main buffet at the splash isn't the best. But the rest were good (mexican, under the sea). If you want some good entertainment and the other restaurants/buffet, you need to go at the sister hotel. Beach the 3 fist days was clean... the 4th day not so clean and the waves were intense... need to be careful and make sure you have a floatie for your young kids.I will recommend this hotel if you go with kids. If you have any kids, you can stay at the sister hotel. You have access to both. Hope to go back again. 👍

The resort is ok overall. We upgraded to the diamond club so we could make dinner reservations for our family of 5. We could never get in until 8pm which was ridiculous. Also I purchased sunscreen from their store and was double charged. I paid $100 for one small bottle of sunscreen, they refused to fix it even with the paper Reciept and proof on their management system. Pools are nice, water slides are very fast (dangerous actually). I’ve had better experiences elsewhere and don’t recommend

Our stay at the Royalton was decent. We booked our trip a before thanksgiving and we were very happy they had a room available for our family. Upon arrival, we forgot we booked diAmond club. However, we finally we directed In right direction. Diamond club comes with a butler (Edwin). Edwin made our last minute trip a breeze. He booked all our dinners without us even having to ask him. Also, he kept us informed with was going on at the hotel and anything we needed would direct it to him instead of the front desk and he would take care of it. The splash was great for me and my family. We spent most of our time at the water park during the day and walked over to the Roylton PUNTA Cana for the night life.

What an incredible vacation! My family and I had such an incredible time at Royalton Splash Punta Cana. The resort is family friendly and the staff were extremely accommodating, warm and welcoming! Initially, we were worried because we accidentally booked a room on the child friendly side of the resort, but we our worries were quickly soothed when we went to the Splash pool. The entertainment staff (Yaiby, Jeremy, Esteban, Jose , Berquis , Liliana, and Carlos) are AMAZZZZZZZINGGG and honestly made the trip for us. In the daytime, there are many fun events at the pool such as Bachata and Merengue lessons, pool volleyball, kayak races, and much more - including the foam party (100/10 recommend!!) The fitness team also comes over to the pool for some mid day stretching and water aerobics which was really nice. The classes are about 15 minutes in length which we thought was perfect -- Note: you can participate with a drink in your hand. ;) The folks behind the bar were also great and really knew their way around the bar. (Elias, Fraylin, Jose and a few others that I can't remeber ) . We really appreciated the vast amount of entertainment that the resort offers- even at night time! We attended the 70's party, silent disco, Dominican night, and the oh so amazing white party on the beach! From the staff to other visitors, at the end of our 7 days, we were sad to leave the resort. It is so clear that the staff at the Royalton value their customers and care about their experience. Don't walk, RUN to book your trip here! Honorable mention to the incredible Elisbet & Feliz, Yurico in the Diamond lounge and Jose Luis at the Mexican restaurant!

We stayed at the royalton splash in November of 2023. We had a diamond club room. This hotel has the most amazing staff! Everyone is super friendly, polite and genuinely looking to make your stay wonderful. I highly recommend a diamond club room. It’s worth the extra money. Ask for Edwin to be your butler. He was incredible and definitely went the extra mile to make our stay memorable and enjoyable. Thank you Edwin for taking care of us while we were there. Our kids (7 & 9) loved the water park, the diamond club pool and the beach. The nightly entertainment was a big hit, too. The Zen restaurant was wonderful and the wait staff , Christian and Juan, at the Marche buffet were incredible with my kids. We will definitely be back.

We stayed at the Royalton Punta Cana Splash. The best part of our trip was our butler named Narcisa Green. He took care of all our needs. At a moments notice, we needed reservations for (12) people and he took care of it. The best part of the trip.
