I will always be grateful for having the most absolute pleasure and experience because of the wonderful Felix from the bar, and Grey who were so kind, always smiling and in great mood throughout all our 9 days of stay in this resort. I can't forget also Lajara, an amazing djentlmen who helped us with great food choices and always so polite and happy to make our vacation an unforgettable memory. The thing that bothered me most about this hotel was that smoking is allowed in public places, including patios and around the pool. Really interfered with my enjoyment and all the cigarette butts on the beach were disgusting. The specialty restaurants were good, but the buffet food (for breakfast and lunch) was generally bland, and food that was supposed to be hot was not. The hotel room did not have nearly enough plugs, and the lights in the hallways were never on during the day. This made it difficult climbing the stairs, and inserting your key card correctly. Housekeeping always tidied the room between 3 and 4 in the afternoon, which is exactly when we wanted to return to our room after spending the day at the beach. Lots of problems with keys not working. Wait staff were excellent, front desk staff not so much - not at all helpful.

Would definitely return to this resort. The only complaint I would have to say is that there needs to be better mattresses in the room. Very hard. Staff at this resort are amazing. Food was very good with lots of selection. The cleaning staff were exceptional and everything had excellent sanitization and excellent precautions due to Covid.

My friend and I stayed here for a week from Dec 4-11, 2021. The resort is on the small side, which was perfect for us. This was the first trip for us since COVID, and I thought an adults-only resort would be a good way to keep us safe. It's a small resort, and that helped make our stay exceptional. The Good: The beach is the best I've seen in Punta Cana. By that I mean the palapas are spaced far enough apart that you feel far enough away from other vacationers to maintain your distance. The early birds still go to the beach at sunrise to claim their chairs, so you may not always get one depending on how many vacationers are there. The sand is white and soft, and if you take a stroll down the beach to the resorts on the left (VIK and Ocean Bleu and Sand), you will immediately see how amazing the PCP beach is compared to those. There was seaweed, but this cannot be helped; it's part of the ocean. I did notice it came in waves, during our time there it started coming on shore between 10-11 am and then again mid-afternoon around 3-4 pm. There wasn't enough of it to keep us out of the water though. The water was quite warm in December, for a non-water person, I was in at least three times a day. The staff are all double-vaxxed, and are always wearing masks. Even those who are part of the animation staff, who lead the pool games and the beach games - they wear a mask even outdoors. You are provided with masks when you enter a restaurant, and at the buffet you are also given a glove to wear to handle the serving spoons. Masking in other areas was hit or miss - I personally masked up at the bar and if I went to any public washrooms. As this was before Omicron really hit, I felt quite safe at this resort given the size and precautions. The food was quite good with one exception, which I will go into below. The buffet was very good, I am a picky eater and ate quite well from the buffet. The menu changes nightly, usually there are theme nights: Italian, Mexican, Dominican Traditional, Seafood. For picky eaters there is always a pasta station where you can build your own pasta dish. The Pomodoro sauce mixed with the béchamel was amazing. The breakfast buffet has everything you could imagine and the omelet station was quite popular. There's a small lunch buffet open near the beach which had a smaller amount of food options, but the marinated grilled chicken there was great. Bear in mind it might be difficult to find seating as it is the closest to the beach. We ate at both the Italian and steakhouse restaurants and enjoyed the meals and our service there. The pool is large and always had activities in the afternoon. There isn't a lot of shade there but it was always popular. It has a sloped entrance so this would be ideal for anyone with mobility issues. There are four bars: a pool bar, 2 beach bars, and a lobby bar. The beach does have waiter service, but sometimes they get busy and it might be faster to go up and get your own drinks. At night, the 2 beach bars are open and it's a great place to sit and relax and chat. The rooms are spacious, with a large bathroom, living area and platform bed. I found it odd that there is no door into the washroom - the toilet and shower have doors but there is no door into the area itself which is odd. We had a twin room and the beds were pretty comfortable. We overlooked the pool and we really enjoyed sitting on the balcony in the late afternoons and after dinner. The bad: We didn't care for the Fondu restaurant. It's a small room with limited seating, and we felt there were too many tables and that people were too close together. It took a very long time for our food to arrive, and once it did we were surprised to see that we were only given five tiny pieces of meat to split between two people (you can only order 1 fondu for 2 people). Plus, because there is an oil-based fondu, our clothes smelled like hot oil for the rest of the night. The buildings do not have elevators. If you have mobility issues, make sure you ask for a ground-floor unit. The noise level from the VIK resort next door was quite loud for us in building 4 - seems like their disco is almost adjacent to buildings 4 and 5, and if you want an early night, the noise may keep you awake. The worst part about this resort was simply the lack of communication. There's a schedule up in the lobby of daily activities, entertainment options. The problem was that the schedule changed often, and the information wasn't updated. We found out from a neighbour that there is a QR code you can scan at the tour information desk (to the left of the main reception desk in the lobby) which gives you the PCP website/schedule of events. We only found that out the day before we left, and would have appreciated having this info before so we knew which restaurants were closed on which nights. The rooms do not have a lot of outlets for charging devices. We ended up having to use the bathroom outlet to charge our phones. It looked like the outlets in our room were all covered up, not quite sure why, but we made it work. Given that the lack of information was the worst part of our stay, this really was a fantastic resort. If you are looking for an adults-only party resort, this definitely isn't for you. Most of the vacationers were in the 40+ age group, and to be honest, that worked well for us. A note about Covid testing: there are nurses who are there to book you for and to perform your COVID testing. You will be provided with a QR code to scan and set up an account with the hospital/lab. This is very important: for some reason the account setup does not (at that time) work on any non-Apple phones. My friend tried many times but never received the confirmation email; after talking with other Canadians there, we discovered it was an issue with any non Apple phone. So my friend tried setting this up on my phone and it worked immediately. Also, please be kind to the nurse; they do not speak a lot of English, as I imagine in their career they rarely used to work with tourists, so they rely on Google translate. Please have some patience as it's a little confusing. For Canadians, you will have your test appointment 3 days before you fly, for us it was on Wednesday for a Saturday departure. They test you on Wednesday, the test goes to the lab on Thursday, you receive your result on Friday (late in the day, don't panic), then you fly home on Saturday. Also, please make sure you have everything uploaded to the Dominican site and the exit QR code ready to show at the airport. Also, ensure you have your $20 USD to exit - pesos with NOT be accepted. As for as the hotel is concerned, we would definitely return to this resort.

A real nice quiet small Adult resort, for those of you who like the big feel of large resort, but not the crowds or endless walking to and from. I travel typically twice a year and normally stay in larger resorts, but this one caught my eye. I will give you all a very honest review and my personal opinion. For the record I recommend either building 4 or 5. These are the closest to the beach and pool. I stayed in Building 4 on the second floor in room 4110. It was recently updated with all new furniture and décor. First the Pros -The Food was really Good. I am not a picky eater, but the buffet was well stocked and they seemed to change it up a lot. -The specialty restaurants didn't require booking. First come first serve. The steak house was my fav. -The grounds were very well kept up, very clean. The beach was clean and the seaweed seemed to be raked up almost everyday. -The staff were amazing, special shout out to Raza and Grey. All of the staff treat you like your a King. -For those who need a PCR test, they have a on-site testing room. Real easy, made my appointment and got tested on-site with result usually in 24 hours. Your vacation continues and you don't have to leave the resort for a test. The Cons -Very windy, but this is the north side of the island, so keep that in mind. -Not much of a coffee bar. They use a automatic machine for everything, so if your craving a handcrafted coffee beverage, your out of luck. -If you don't have a basic understanding of Spanish, it can be a challenge to have a conversation with most of the staff and locals. -Prices in the gift shop are high and priced in US dollars. -Prices for the Massage therapy are really high, even higher here than back in Canada. Not sure why, as most sessions are not very long, or worth it. So there are the basics. Additionally make sure you bring US currency, their own currency isn't really desired by anyone, they prefer US dollars. Tip your maid and don't be shy to ask for early room cleaning etc, they always will bend over backwards for you. Case in point my room was always cleaned by 11am and fully overstocked with beer and soda and coffee. DON'T forget to keep $20 US per person for your airport trip out of the country. If you don't have the US funds, they won't let you board. They won't except any other form of currency either. Finally I found this vacation very cheap and just what I wanted, no kids, quiet and beautiful. The crowd is about mid 40s to golden year people. Its not a 5 star but a solid 4 star in my view.
