one of the worst experiences my family and I had in travel , terrible service , arrogant people who do not know how to deal with customers , my wife was treated like a prisoner allocated in a room that could not access the internet , we asked to put a solution and nobody answered, bathroom leaking water, room with a strong smell and other difficulties, we will not be back.
Overall it was a great experience, the food was not that great and there was a smell throughout the hotel rooms like sewage . The entertainment was the best part of the stay. Having a better variety in the food at the restaurants would make it better
All people working in the resort are friendly, helpfull, kind and smily. The beach is long and clean, the food is incredibly diversificated, the volleyball was always accessible, it was one of our best trip.
This is a VERY long review but it’s needed to help others decide if they want to go here for vacation. Upon arrival we had to wait until 3pm before checking which is fine because they let us eat at the restaurants until we waited. We booked a pool view suite but reception told us they only have rooms in the pool area but none facing the pool. I let it slide but it was annoying since we paid extra for that room. My wife and I were expecting someone to give us a piece of paper to detail where all restaurants are but it was basically figure it out on your own. The thing that aggravated me was the Travel Club people trying to sell you a membership. I was firm and told them no and yet, they still took us to the Travel Club side saying “VIP breakfast”. I honestly had to get rude with them and tell them I said no and to not pressure us. After that encounter they left us alone. We requested a “romance package” since it was our anniversary but once we got in the room, it didn’t have anything special. Which is okay because it was only a request but the Grand Palladium in Jamaica went over and beyond for our request on our last anniversary trip. The rooms themselves are pretty nice and comfortable. Although the style of the bathroom is weird. The shower can only be used when standing in the tub but the glass separating the room from the bathroom. Made it so if you shower the water would leak onto the ground near the bed. We would have to put towels on the ground to stop the water from reaching under the bed. The safe in our room didn’t work and the fridge didn’t work either but we didn’t care to use the fridge or the safe so we didn’t call to complain. First night we were sleeping and one of their workers just walked in around 10pm. He said sorry and exited but it would have been really awkward if my wife and I were participating in “adult activities”. Another thing about the room is they don’t have a sign for “Do Not Disturb”. You literally have to call front desk every time for them to tell the maids which is annoying because even when we would call to Do Not Disturb. The maids would come knocking on the door at 8-9am to clean the room. Also, they should tell the maids to stop shouting so early in the morning before they start cleaning. You can literally hear them talking starting around 7am which again is annoying because you get no peace and quiet. Another thing about the room is the bed only has a thin piece of bedsheet that you sleep on and another one that I guess is a blanket. If you’re travelling with kids I’d suggest requesting a blanket prior because the rooms get cold at night. We sometimes had to sleep in our sweaters which was a terrible experience. The pool area was nice but honestly you can’t relax because every 5-10 minutes someone would come around trying to sell you something. I understand it’s commission based for them but if people say no then they need to leave them alone. They keep asking over and over again. It got to the point where when we would see salesman we would take the longer way to our room to avoid them. We came on vacation to relax and not get pestered to buy something. The food at the restaurants was sometimes really good then other times it wasn’t the best. I noticed a lot of the food was cold which made no sense because they were on heaters. I think they need to monitor the food to make sure it’s at a good temperature. Another thing is the chef at lunch and dinner making the meat. The steak would be so bloody sometimes which some people might like but I didn’t like that and I would try communicating to the chef to have it more well done. He would shake his head but give it back to me basically the same. I understand I’m coming to their country so I can’t expect them to speak english but you would think a resort that you’re paying 1500$ plus would have better communication. The chicken wouldn’t be cooked all the way sometimes and be pink inside. I think I throughout about 10 chicken breast because of it being undercooked. The best restaurants in my opinion was the Japanese and Argentina restaurants. All in all I don’t know if I would go back here. I think the only thing that would bring me back here is the fact the kid area was great. We didn’t get to bring our daughter and would’ve loved for her to play on the slides but other than that. We most likely wouldn’t come back here and go somewhere else.…
