I don't like leaving negative reviews. I don't have a ton of positive things to say though. Our room had no power, sink wouldn't drain, and the refrigerator didn't work and wasn't replaced until after the 4th day ( Only after my mother a teacher in the inner city got involved after our failed attempts). Storing milk for my little one wasn't possible. The buffet on the bavaro side was pretty bad. service was spotty. The workers really hustled it was just unorganized and seemed overwhelming for them. Food temps were never hot which made me nervous for potential illness. serving spoons were not specific to a dish which created a big issue for people with potential allergies. Always seemed low on dishes and cups which were quickly and inefficiently washed. While I feel people were always cleaning overall it was very poor hygiene. They definitely need more sanitizer stations. I'm lucky I never had any belly issues while there, but my mother did the entire week, which unfortunately ruined her trip. The general store is outrageous for even everyday items ( meds, sun tan lotion, even chips). The peddlers got tiresome and they wouldn't take no for an answer. Our little guy contracted coxsackies(hand/foot/mouth) half way through the trip. Initially we weren't sure what he had, I was desperate @ 3:30AM and the Dr on site was of no/little help and they would not open the general store for me to get benadryl/tylenol for him. I initially thought he was having a bad reaction to the pool, or something he ate. I ended up taking a cab to the Island Pharmacy to get things ( If needed, I highly recommend them) We ended up taking him to the hospital down the road which tacked an additional $500.00 to the tab. My wife and I now have it so we're trying to navigate an additional week out of work which isn't going well.... The grounds are beautiful and well kept.( watch your step though ) All the pools are nice and the beach /ocean is beautiful. The workers generally do hustle and are respectful. while they don't show it, I would get annoyed catering to entitled, ungrateful, grumpy, kareny, wasteful tourists too. The drinks are good when you can finally get one. I love walking but the place is huge and things are far apart, so if you are going with elders or have difficulty getting around it is not always possible to rely on the carts and it will be very difficult. The activities are plentiful and fun !!! Some of the buffet stuff was really good, people on here are a little to critical on that. ( avoid the bavaro lobby side buffet ) If you are booked on the bavaro side I highly recommend going to the punta cana and TRS sides, they seemed much better. The torre buffet is the best one. The restaurants ( if you can get in ) are kind of underwhelming .  I'm not fancy, I'm not even picky, I'm not rich. But a trip like this you really do have some expectations. I came home tired, heart broken for my little guy, and wishing I maybe did or went somewhere else. Peace out Palladium and Dominican, I do think I'm turned off for life.

We had a shorter stay in this fantastic hotel, next time we will plan more time here. It was a very nice experience, all the staff was very friendly and really transfered the dominican way of life. The rooms were clean and had enough space for our family.

Poor customer service. The staff at the resort was sometimes off putting and didn’t seem like they were interested in assisting us in finding restaurants on the property or even to get a caddy to drive us to the various places proved difficult. It almost felt like it was a bother.

Absolutely terrible experience, been to Dominican 4 times and this is by far the worst. terrible service seemed like you were bothering the employees to be serviced. would take over 30 minutes for waitresses to ask for our drinks. and most times they never brought them. power went out twice and took over 30 minutes both times to repair. asked for my fridge to be stocked, never happened. found 2 cockroaches on our floor. absolutely disgusting!!! would not recommend grand palladium resort, one of the worst experiences ive had.

Terrible. So many things. Room key didn't work sometimes, asked for a hairdryer many times. Had to change rooms twice due to no water and cockroaches. Items were stolen from our room, staff can't understand language.

The property was very nice, were very well maintained. The room wasn't very clean, subpar maintenance. Service at restaurants was slow. Lots of beautiful pools, activities, nice beach. Kids daycare was great, our kid enjoyed it and wanted to go there often.

So much potential, falls so short of what the minimum expectations would be. Landscaping of the facility is the most attractive part of the vacation. If you don’t speak fluent Spanish, you don’t belong at this resort. The food was mediocre, staff was friendly but not very helpful, and overall not a great experience

We had a wonderful time at this resort. The cons-I found the bed hard and it was very hard to find a beach chair. BUT the water was beautiful! The food was excellent and if you missed meals, the sports bar was amazing--pizza was great and the staff was awesome. There are so many carts around and it was never a problem getting a lift. I liked that we could also enjoy the other pools and lobbys. The entertainment was great too. Khevin at the front desk was most helpful and very nice--the best!! Look for him if you need something because he does his job well.

We stayed 14 days. Everything was great! A few little things here and there, but nothing that would stop us from returning or recommending. Beach is absolutely amazing, and the grounds are very pretty. The prices of things at the on resort shop are insane... but I think its like that everywhere. $18 for 2 bags of chips 😳 safe to say we ate no chips. Good diet plan! Haha The food in the buffets was actually really good! My favorite food was what the man cooked at night right in front of you fresh for dinners (teriyaki chicken + noodles, and chicken fajitas) Reason for 4 star service instead of 5 was the time we waited often to get water at the tables for meals. Sometimes we ate for 45 min and no waiter came to offer water. Would have been happier with self-serve water at the buffet. I was pregnant so water is a must! Also the Guest Service to book restaurants is slower than cold molasses. Please get more lines for Guest Service. Reason for 4 star cleanliness was sometimes the bathrooms at the beach and in lobby weren't super clean, but the staff seemed to be constantly cleaning them, so maybe it was my timing. Staff was always friendly. Rooms were nice, the A/C worked amazing. Would like an option to shut the deck door from the outside so we could be on the deck, and the door could be closed. The door had no ability to close except from inside. When left open, the A/C automatically shut off, and mosquitoes went in one night which was the worst night of sleep. The shower door doesnt keep the water in so well... so we had to wipe up water off the bathroom floor after most showers. But those are little things compared to the good! Deck was lovely to sit on, the A/C took minutes to get the room cool again. Bed was comfortable. The safe in the closet was a little bit sketchy and sometimes was not easy to open and would do weird things. Maybe needs a battery change? Overall very happy, would return to this place for sure! Loved how close it was to the airport too!

Terrible resort and staff. Not accommodating whatsoever. Valuables were stolen by staff. Management did very little to help. Huge language barrier. Have to chase carts down just to get a ride around resort. Definitely do not recommend, go elsewhere if you can help it!
