Over the 20 years that we visited Punta Cana this was the worst resort so far. Buffet or breakfast food terrible. Service unpleasant. water in pools dirty & green. Rooms overall not to bad. reservations for evening dining needs to be booked over a app which is cheated. Hard to make reservations. No internet service. They charged me money for premium wifi which did not work.
Wow is all I have to say. This was one of the most amazing trips I have ever taken in my life. The service, staff, food and the resort easily made this one of my favorite trips. To start off, the location was absolutely outstanding. I constantly saw staff members cleaning everything and I felt as though it was extremely clean and wonderful. The beach was absolutely amazing. The water and the sand made an already amazing trip even better. The pools were always very nice and having the swim out room was extra special. The family club is great if you are traveling with children or even teens. Next, the food was delicious. My personal favorite restaurants were Pescador, Gaucho, and Wasabi. The service was very quick and they had great food. The buffets were also very good and has plenty of options. Lastly, what really made this trip amazing for me was the staff. I have seen reviews saying that the staff is unfriendly or unhelpful; that doesn’t sound like the resort I stayed at. Every staff member we encountered was so friendly and always willing to help us with anything we needed. Some of our favorite staff members were, Sobeida from the Hispaniola buffet, Yei from the Pescador restaurant, Victor and Berlin from the Pub, Salami from entertainment, Franklin and Olfa from Royal Holiday Vacation Club, Daniel and Roland from SeaPro sports plus all of the dancers and singers. The entertainment was like no other. There was basically a party with music and dancing every night. They found ways to include everyone and it was always so much fun. This resort is amazing and I enjoyed every minute of it. One tip I have for anyone looking to come here would be to tip and treat the staff members well. They work so hard and deserve kindness and gratitude. I hope you enjoy your stay as much as I did! …
Just stayed at the Grand Bavaro Princess in Punta Cana. It truly was a spectacular vacation. The resort was beautiful and the beach was one of the most impressive beaches we've ever been too. Staff was truly exceptional especially Schneider (Receptionist). He went above and beyond in making this vacation a more memorable one for us. He guided us in navigating the resort amenities and assisted us with our transportation needs and outside activities. Would definitely recommend this resort!
Staff is great at the kids club. Thank you to Maxy, Lily, Ruth for the entertainment. Overall wonderful experience! Pools are great! Clean and well maintained. The staff is all fantastic. Definitely family friendly 💕
Beautiful hotel. Food in the restaurants is great and the beach is beautiful! Love the Mini Kids club (Lilly and Leidy are wonderful with the kids). All staff are excellent, highly recommend to everyone!
If you only speak English, don't come here. They can't understand English. Nobody speaks it. Arrived late and buffet shut down. Room service? Diet Coke? Forget about it. I am diabetic and told them over and over I can't have sugar. I asked for hot wings but they gave BBQ. They can't understand English AT ALL. The driest wings of my life. Terrible. Very expensive for the worst service of your life.
I just want to start off by saying I’m not one to to leave reviews. Whatever you do either go platinum or don’t go at all. Honestly if you enjoy the most rancid alcohol, bugs in your rooms and attitude from 80% of staff then you will have a fantastic time. The first mistake my group and I made was not booking platinum. Fine we didn’t know and what’s the worst that happens you upgrade on site right? Ehh kind of. I would say roughly 85% of the people at this resort don’t care to be there or have any interest in helping you out. With that being said I like to tip everyone whether you’re at the bar, a server or a landscaper, I feel it is the right thing to do. With every tip I left I rarely heard a thank you, rather a head nod or just simply taking it from my hand. I would love to include pictures and videos of what my room looked like. A broken door handle that could barely open the door to my room, swarms of flys in my bathroom and the cleaning service was sadly terrible. Not to mention I had to pay $70 pp a night for the platinum even tho I wasn’t in a platinum room nor did I have any of the belongings sent to my room until my last day. I even went as far to speak to the front desk about the issue and got transferred to 3 different people with no solution. I’ve been traveling since I was 3 years old all over the world so I’ve seen my fair share of quality service as well as gratitude. Now with that being said not everyone that works at this resort is a terrible person or has a bad attitude. Now onto the food…. It’s not the Ritz Carlton but rather something I ate during my college days (cold pizza, fries and chicken wings). To mention the positives the grounds are kept beautifully, the ocean is nice the nature aspect is a nice site to see. Also the bartenders in the Platinum section were the only real highlight in regards to customer service. To summarize my review would I go back.. absolutely not. If you’re deciding to book here go Platinum or don’t. Also this is my opinion 🙂 ps. Avoid rooms near building 15 because most of them will have the sewer flys since the system throughout those buildings have issues. …
This was our first visit to Punta Cana and first time travelling without our kids. I thought the resort was gorgeous, very well maintained property with so many interesting birds to look at (flamingoes, peacocks, ducks etc). Our room was spacious and well appointed. The bed was very comfortable and we loved the large balcony with comfortable furnishings. The air conditioning was strong and some nights we had to put on extra blankets. We had an issue with the safe, but it was resolved within 5 minutes of phoning for help. The beach was gorgeous and we never had a problem finding chairs with an umbrella even though we were told the resort was 90% full. The beach bar was handy for drinks and we enjoyed the food trucks for lunch several days. We walked the beach everyday and thought Grand Bavaro Princess had one of the nicest beaches. Seaweed was cleared from the beach every morning and taken away, and we found seaweed in the water was not an issue during our stay. We started at the beach every morning and ended at the pool every afternoon. Chairs were not a problem by the pool despite coming mid afternoon. The buffets were excellent and we enjoyed our breakfasts and lunches when we visited. We booked the restaurants each night and found the food to be good to very good. Especially enjoyed the pizza restaurant and the Hibachi style restaurant. My only critique would be a lack of evening entertainment. There was live music later around 10pm but not much else. Overall we loved our stay and will go back! Oh and make sure to pack sunscreen and snacks as they charge $36 US for a bottle of sunscreen and snacks also very expensive - chocolate bars $4 US and potato chips $11 US …
Great food! I loved the music! The customer service is great and the drinks are great Sexy Berni is great Thank you for the hospitality and the customer service. The pool was very clean and fun!
All the animation staff, especially Sexi Berni, are very entertaining and helped us make it a holiday of our lifetimes. The restaurants are amazing and full of choices. Bar staff and servers did a great job.
