The Hard Rock In Punta Cana is by far our favorite vacation destination. This facility is spotless, beautiful and a true non-stop ride...I need a vacation from my vacation. The list of the to-do's is a mile long and everyone is exceptionally nice and engaging. My diet was wrecked from all of the delicious foods and the variety of restaurants. This is the true WOW factor. You can't walk 50 feet without some type of food offerings, even at the pool, shopping mall or even outside the casino. We can't wait to go back at Christmas for another visit.
We are just returning from a fabulous, much needed vacation. We spent the first week with two of our daughters and their families. The grandkids LOVED the water park and beach. The parents loved that we watched the kids in the evening so they could enjoy wine tasting and romantic dinners. After a week we sent them home and enjoyed five extra nights alone. Loved being with the kids. Loved the relaxing after. Our butler’s, Julio and Jesus were wonderfully accommodating. It was a little tricky checking in all ten of us but things worked out after we were settled and we felt like the staff was extremely helpful in smoothing out the initial wrinkles. We celebrated my SIL’s 30th birthday and the butler’s decorated his room and he was surprised with a song and birthday cake after a delicious meal at Toro’s. A lovely surprise for my husband and I was the dinner at Montserrat in the Casino. Our waiter, Arsenio, was fabulous. Also, we want to comment on the terrific spa treatments. I highly recommend the Vitamin C facial especially from Santa Rosetta and the aromatherapy massage from Ana Iris. For help with the hydrotherapy ask for Jenna (I think. I KNEW I should write down these names!) My husband was especially pleased with the help from Andres on the Men’s side. And if you’re looking for a word of encouragement, look for Winder at either Isla or Toro restaurants. We LOVE the new renovations they are doing and the Ambassador Suites are incredible. We can’t wait to go back.…
We've been members for 9 years (several years at Hall of Fame level). There has been a significant drop in customer service even compared to last year but definitely in comparison to years past. Here are my general observations: 1) the check in experience is terrible (this has been a consistent problem over the years but the rest of the experience in the past has made up for it) 2) serving a welcome drink consisting of a splash of champagne in a solo plastic cup is cheap and low class 3) service was below standard: many of the food servers appeared irritated/distracted; on several occasions, despite our repeated request, we never got coffee until we had finished breakfast; on one night we were served wine but (again despite several requests) wine glasses (or any glasses) were not provided-- wine sat unopened on the table for 45 minutes til the end of the meal; multiple times the order was wrong or food forgotten 4) on two occasions our room was not cleaned 5) on one occasion (since the room had not been cleaned) we requested additional towels. These were never provided. We eventually walked around until we found a house keeping person. 6) when the room was cleaned, toiletries (conditioner) was not replaced-- even though we specifically requested this 7) turn down service provided 2 out of 7 nights 8) several days in.a row, the refreshments (i.e. fridge) was not restocked. 9) we had 2 bottles of wine delivered to the room for 8 people. 3 wine glasses came. The delivery person promised they would be right back... they never returned 10) guests with us (staying in different rooms) had similar experiences 11) compared to our past visits, there was no variety between breakfast venues. 12) even with reservations (as Hall of Fame members), we waited 45 minutes on 2 occasions …
First I would like to say that there were a few employees that were absolutely amazing, Ramon who was poolside, Davina in housekeeping, Jose in Vacation Services and Facundo in the front lobby. We visited the resort 9 years ago and had a wonderful vacation everything was clean and new so when planning our vacation this year we had to go back unfortunately this time was very different. Beside the pressure from all the employees to give tips for bad service the Legends tour was absolutely horrendous. The pressure and time wasted by the employees was something I have never experienced, they just threw out numbers wanted a decision immediately then when we told them we weren’t interested continued to send people to try to sell to us and pressure us to sign up. They lied saying they were sending someone over for a survey meanwhile we never took a survey it was just another sales pitch and when we said no again the employee was rude and disrespectful. The 90 minute tour turned into more than a 3 hour pressure filled sales pitch. Honestly we didn’t think it was a bad program however the first price they gave us was $315,000 expecting us to leave a sizable deposit by the end of the conversation the price was down to $29,900 with less then a $1000 down. The employees had no respect for our time and took us away from the rest of our family for this high pressured “tour”. They also promised us credits that in the end were not available to us. Which led to more wasted time trying to get what was promised to us, it was very frustrating. The “party” atmosphere at the main pool was not suited for a family with a baby, again very disappointing. Finally the horseback riding excursion was over 30 minutes from the resort, we were told it was near the resort, and the condition of the horses borders on animal abuse. The horses were in bad physical condition and one of our guides treated his horse so poorly that the horses mouth was bleeding by the end of our ride. The other problem was the vendors on the beach who constantly pressure you to buy anything and everything. At times we couldn’t even enjoy the beach because of it. Our room was good and we made the best of our vacation.…
Hall of fame members severely let down Rooms reserved were given away an hour before we arrived Placed in room 1301 presidential suite dirty unsanitary A holiday inn quality room clearly not intended to be occupied Were moved after a second day of anxiety Treated awfully by self appointed resort general managers Jeffrey and crystal they clearly did not want us there Heriberto Cuevas butler our savior was attentive and made all reservations promptly he was a rock star and only person to thank us Lines everywhere for food need to have a better set up left suggestions hope they can straighten out Pool beach staff are great but cleanliness suffers as members leave a mess
We were at the Hard Rock Punta Cana in Aug 22 with a very large group and were extremely pleased with how everything turned out. They accommodated our large group for dinner at several of the restaurants which we appreciated. We very much enjoyed the beach, pool, hotel, food and drinks, spa, golf and the casino. We even were able to attend some of the Latin Music Festival events that they had going on and had a blast. Overall our experience wouldn’t have been has good as it was without the great product these folks offer across the board and the exceptional service everyone we interacted with gave us. In particular, we would like to commend the outstanding service of our butler, Jose Lugo, who was incredibly effective in taking care of our reservations to various activities and filling our requests. Great job Jose !!! We would definitely like to have you again when we return next year.…
The first day of arriving my fridge had a leak and there was water on the floor. I golf management and they said someone would come clean it and no one came til the next day day. It was a hazard due to the fact that my 10 year old son could have slipped on it and hurt himself. A few days later, as I was walking with my son to the theatre for a show and almost got ran over by two girls driving a cart. They were speeding and laughing and had to slam on breaks to avoid hitting us. I told gust services and filled out a form. I was golf “bubbles” would be sent to my room and they never were. I could care less about that, its the fact that nothing was done about it. The same day in the morning I went to the Isla for breakfast and no one attended me and my family. I asked a female waiter if someone could please attend us and she said someone would and no one ever did. I finished breakfast without any water to drink. Im highly disappointed with the service because it seems like they catered only to those who had a VIP bracelet. I will never return to this hotel and definitely not recommend it to my friends or any family. I will be leaving a public review on and you have lost the business of a family of 15. My brother was also asked in the bathroom if he would like to buy drugs in the restroom or to select a woman from the persons phone to be sent to his room. Completely unacceptable and a truly unsafe place for a family …
Not a true all inclusive, a lot of construction going on, exclusive areas only for “members” use, tips are expected and a lot of the staff isn’t genuinely happy to serve you. Food was good, but not all restaurants are open and some cost extra. Top shelf liquors are included but lately he’s to find at any bar. Very disappointed.
I would highly recommend this resort. A definite 10/10!!!!! Only issue is don’t visit Toro restaurant. We loved this property from check in to check out. Atmosphere, music, culture AMAZING!!!! Must visit
