Holiday did not get off to a great start due to waiting times at restaurants. However I spoke to Joe the beverage manager and he really went out of way for us. Booked restaurants and went out of his way to make our stay much more enjoyable. So overall it was a much better experience and staff at restaurants were fantastic, especially in the Italian. Thank you

Hotel's Favorite
The Hard Rock In Punta Cana is by far our favorite vacation destination. This facility is spotless, beautiful and a true non-stop ride...I need a vacation from my vacation. The list of the to-do's is a mile long and everyone is exceptionally nice and engaging. My diet was wrecked from all of the delicious foods and the variety of restaurants. This is the true WOW factor. You can't walk 50 feet without some type of food offerings, even at the pool, shopping mall or even outside the casino. We can't wait to go back at Christmas for another visit.

We just returned from a 5-night stay at Hard Rock. We really tried to give this resort the benefit of the doubt, but the service and the property leave much to be desired. The Good: 1) There is plenty to do at the resort for young adults. Our six adult children (18-26) had a fun time at the beach, the pool, the nightclub, and the casino - even the waterpark! 2) The trams, especially during the peak times of the day with the sun and heat, were great. 3) They booked us a complimentary Bali bed due to the room issues we experienced which was nice. 4) The front desk can break larger US bills for tips. The Bad: 1) The first room we were in the mini fridge and the AC did not work. They replaced the fridge, but had to move us (at close to 10pm at night) the first night to a new room with working AC. The room never got colder than 73 (although thermostat was set to 65) which was better than the 77 degrees in the first room. 2) Our second room did not have cold water for half the morning. I understand things happen, just let us know. Instead, we had to call the front desk to ask what was going on to which they said “we are working on it” with no estimation on when it will be fixed. 3) Housekeeping was inconsistent. They rarely cleaned our room or replenished any items, even when a note with tip was left on the counter. They only cleaned our room properly and left us toilet paper and towels when we scheduled the service. They did not clean our kids' room for three full days! Only finally did so when it was scheduled. 4) The mini fridge was stocked with soda and beer, but can we get some water please? We did not get stocked with water until we ordered it through room service and then left a note IN THE FRIDGE asking for some. 5) Concierge did not book our last night reservation for a party of ten, so when we arrived, they wanted to sit us 6 and 4 at different tables. They finally sat us all together in the HOTTEST part of the restaurant. Some of our party opted to sit outside to wait for their order to arrive. 6) EVERYTHING is a sales pitch or upsell. From the time you walk in the resort until the time that you leave. In the lobby, on the beach and at the pool. They get your WhatsApp and send you a message EVERY MORNING about going to "breakfast" for free credits. I get hustle culture. How many times do you have to be bombarded with high pressure sales pitches while on vacation though? When do you relax? 7) When we expressed our disappointment about the service at the end of our stay, their response was to give us a “50% coupon” which turned into another Sales Pitch! Ridiculous. We paid for Caribbean Diamond and had a subpar experience, while others in our party booked the standard room and received great service and a proper working room from day one. It is possible to meet a basic standard. I am confused as to why it was so inconsistent at the same resort. Especially for an “upgraded” room. A room in working order, consistent housekeeping, and water with room to BREATHE is the minimum that should be expected – even at a standard hotel. Hard Rock fell short of all the above. Considering we have paid the same price at All Inclusive resorts in other countries where the property and service were nothing short of luxurious, this experience was disappointing.

The hotel is horrible. They have an air conditioning problem. The coolest the rooms get down to is 76 degrees. We had a family with 3 rooms and all 3 rooms the ac was the same. We switched rooms and still had the same problem. The restaurants had no a/c they said it was broken. The gave came to check the ac the filter looked like it hadn't been cleaned it 15years. When I told him why not replace it he took a broom a sweeped it then put it back. The bathrooms in the rooms dont have any vents for air conditioning . Thers no ceiling fans in any of the rooms. Elevators broken. The service it terrible the bartenders don't want to be bothered or make anything different just want to give u a pina coloda and call it a day. The food is not good. The steakhouse i couldn't even cut my steak. They dont clean to rooms just make your beds. It was a horrible experience this is suppose to be a 5star hotel I would give it a 2 stars. I've stayed at way better hotels in punta Cana for less. Don't be fooled my all there attractions it's simply not worth it

As an international traveller from England this hotel rates amongst the worst. Apart from the unfriendly staff who only acknowledge Spanish speaking guests. The main reception is pretty much useless and guest services direct you to an app. The hotel is massive and the beach is a 10-15 minute walk from most rooms. The buffet hall is not 5 star and the the counters are not supervised by an over seeing chef who takes pride in its offering. Usually with other five star all inclusive hotels you can fill your plate with all manner of delicious foods, however the only thing my family of 4 liked was a few pizza slices

Just returned after 7 days at the Hard Rock. It’s a huge resort, we certainly let got our daily 10,000 steps in. Having read a few reviews, many describe the huge indoor area like being in a shopping mall. Which is a very accurate description. Loads of shops selling various merchandise, buskers, food areas etc. Then you go outside and it’s beautifully kept with amazing gardens and water features. So the good. The gym is excellent. One of the best I’ve been to. Entertainment for the kids. So much to choose from. Bowling. Mini golf. We did those twice. There was other stuff we didn’t do like the escape room (very pricey) and laser tag. The Michael Jackson tribute on Friday was good. In a massive auditorium! Lots and lots of pools. Enough food to feed a large army! Both sides! Room was really good and spacious. 2 double beds and a sofa bed. Ice cream bar was the best! You have to try the chocolate lollies! zen (Hibachi) was entertaining for the kids, food was nothing special but cool having that option at a hotel. The not so good. Best word I can describe is inconsistent. Service was sub par at best. For every 1 amazing employee you’ll get 5 who just seem to really want to be somewhere else. Every time we needed service, eg concierge to ask about booking a restaurant, or getting towels, or at a bar, you’ll find 2 or 3 staff chatting to each other and eventually one of them will acknowledge you. Pre-Tipping seems to be the only way to get attention sadly. The food. Quality is average at best. But there is sooooo much of it. Burgers by the pool were good! The Mexican Los Gallos was awful. Shame as the decor is incredible. The vibe of the hotel is basically party! Like being on spring break for families. Very loud. But it is called The Hard Rock.

So disappointed. Checked in yesterday with 5 family members to celebrate our 23rd wedding anniversary. After booking an ocean front presidential suite a year ago. Got put in a building near the lobby not even facing the ocean and can’t even SEE the ocean. About a mile walk to the ocean. Resort said “we overbooked, sorry not sorry”. Have been here multiple times and will never be back.

My wife and I traveled to the Hard Rock Punta Cana for a two week stay from June 24th to July 8th. We are Legendary Members and had been to this resort 4 times prior but the last time we were in Punta Cana was 2016. We normally stay two weeks at a time due to vacation limitations so the length of stay was not something new. There is always something to do to occupy your time besides eating and drinking. We have been to all the resorts in the group and besides UNICO 20 87, this is our next favorite. Two different resorts with two totally different experiences. Everything was fantastic as years before, but this year our service was phenomenal and off the charts. From check-in until the time we left we were constantly amazed how attentive everyone was to us. I didn't play golf like I had in the past visits because I just didn't feel like hasseling with my golf clubs and early tee times. I just wanted to chiil and sleep in a bit. The golf couse is a great track, but in the summer it can be brutal with the heat if you do not get off early. Even when I am the first dude off the 1st tee, I am in a "full lather" after 3 holes. Ogalis was our butler for our two week stay and he was very attentive to our needs throughout our stay. I cannot count how many times he went above and beyond for us eventhough we didn't ask for much. He was always checking in on us throughout the day, and took care our dinner reservations and my wife's spa appointments. He even arranged for a pizza night the night before we left so we could pack and not have to worry about dinner. Ogalis is the best butler that we have ever had. We usually head back to the room at 4:30 PM to get ready for the evening and there was not a day that went by that we did not have ice, beer, limes, clamato and something to snack on as soon as we arrived to the room. Miguel Angel Guichardo Reynoso (he made sure I knew his full name, ha) was a great sight to see every afternoon. He made sure "wild man" had everything he needed for the evening. Ridelki brought us varying stuff each day usually a plate of fruit or cheese and crackers and even made homemade limeade for my wife so she could prepare a cocktail for the evening while she got dressed for dinner. We stayed in building 5A which is a great location and central to all the pools and beach. We ate at all the restaraunts and the food was good. It's a all-inclusive and we didnt have 5-star expectations. The only complaint that we did have was the AC in the restaraunts was lacking, but again it is the Domincan Republic and it is hot in the summer. We live in Texas so we understand how difficult it is to cool off places when the doors are always open. The pool staff and servers were great. Many times instead of waiting for service, we just went and got our own drinks and food. No big deal. The pool and beach food was convenient and good and took the pressure off of what we were going to eat at lunch. Many times we skipped lunch all together. We have been home almost a month now and I have chats with Miguel and Ogalis through WhatsApp (almost on a daily basis) and through these converstations I realize how happy I am being a Legendary Member. Not only did we make memories, we made friends that we want to see again soon.

What an amazing stay we had, the whole week was a dream. Our butlers, Rafael and Mariel were so attentive and went out of their way to make our stay unforgettable. Anything we needed or asked for, no matter the day or time, they immediately answered us and figured everything out, they made the trip seamless! They always communicated and checked in with us in person daily, we felt so special! We also loved the pool concierge Scooby Doo, Elvis Brainerd,-he was so friendly, helpful and fun! Every day at the pool he stopped by and said hello, told us some jokes to make us laugh, and asked us if we were ok and having a good time. He went out of his way to make sure we were happy and taken care of! It was so nice to see a positive, happy guy like him everyday at the pool. We will definitely be coming back soon because of the amazing service and attention we received! Thanks for making our time at Hard Rock Punta Cana so amazingly unforgettable!

I came in for a wedding that started at 2pm. Being that check-in wasn’t until 3pm, my room was not ready. So, I kept explaining that I needed to shower and change for the wedding. It was almost as if I had to beg for a solution. They finally advised that I could use the gym facility. Even though not ideal, they told me I had no other option. I even asked if I could pay for an early check-in or for an upgraded room, if one was available. The front desk told me they would check and get back to me in 10 minutes. They knew I was rushing, as I had to be to the wedding. They never followed back up, so I had to go back and ask for a status update. And they told me that nothing was available. So, I asked for an iron or steamer for my dress, as it was wrinkled from being in my suitcase, and no one from guest services could help me. To spend so much money for a resort, the customer service was extremely lacking. Additionally, the food choices just were not good - it was sub-par and left a lot to be desired. I’ve been to all-inclusive before where the food was very tasty. It’s as if the Hard Rock Punta Cana is simply worried about shuffling in the most people as opposed to creating a memorable experience for the guests. Lastly, customer service throughout the stay was also lacking. Sometimes people barely spoke. The ones that did were friendly. But again, for a resort that costs this much, I was extremely disappointed.
